It's a set up so that Mikey can grill Vern about who the new "hot chick" is and be adamant that he's SO sure her boobs look familiar from somewhere... possibly from a billboard two years prior.

Don't be silly... women capable of acting were forced to actually develop those skills because they lack the physical requirements for a Bay film, which isn't going to work. Homogeneous to having to develop a personality in order to make up for flaws.

After the way he was treated, do you blame him? The previous TMNT movie is everything wrong with todays movies. Taking a once popular entity, put some flash and bang and make a quick buck. Yeah, the movie may have made money, but the movie itself seriously lacks in integrity and quality. Says alot about todays society, the ones who would rather blow all their money on some fancy car to impress the girl next door instead of saving and buying the house to build a foundation. Alessandra is actually one of my favorite Victoria's Secret models, but she has an extremely thick Brazilian accent and is really hard to understand. I can't imagine her having too many lines even if she can act. (She sure can strut!)

That being said, I don't think anyone has high hopes for this movie. Let's just get some actual nice fight scenes instead of blurry, cluster****ish crap that was in the first one. I'd rather it NOT fail, because even if I don't like them, they somehow make good money for TMNT and can fund all the other stuff I do like.

Good luck with that. Bay might otherwise be all for it, but he and his lot are still of the clueless mindset that TMNT is just "a kid's thing."
Although I'm not personally disappointed to be spared from that view... there's plenty of boobs out there in 2/3rds of everything else.

At this point, they've repeatedly said they're interested in having Casey Jones BUT they haven't confirmed it like they have Bebop & Rocksteady. Plus we can already see that Vern isn't going away and quite possibly has a more important role.

You might as well put the Turtles at the very bottom of the list. They'll get some shots every now and then, one big action piece with Bebop/Rocksteady, and that'll be it.

Splinter will be in it even less than he was last time. So take him out all together.

Remember when the 1990 movie managed to have the Turtles and other human characters, without the Turtles getting sidelined in favor of the humans?

Good times.

Go back to suits, IMO - this CG thing just ain't working. It's clearly too expensive for them to do it on the scale that it needs to be done (ie, for the Turtles to not have to be sidelined to cut costs), and that's why we're ending up with all this extra ish.

I'm sorry, but nobody in the history of ever has been dying to see Vern get a girlfriend. Nobody cares that much about Vern, and he's not even like he is in the OT anyway. He's just some random dude that they've thrown in for comic relief and they've slapped the name Vern on him to make it fit with the title of the movie. It's a total waste of the budget even including this, and it's obvious they're just stuffing in padding in an attempt to disguise the fact that the vast majority of Turtle-time is going to be in action sequences.

...ill never understand why people feel that simply because they excel at their craft, or whatever, that means they should act. its rare, but not impossible, to find people who excel in multiple forms of entertainment, but I really think its bold (in the bad way) of a model, whose job is, lets be honest, to be seen and not heard, think he/she should make the jump.
