It's the only name I've used since then however. Hell, you can log on Warcraft III and still see me playing under Psycrow about 5 years later.

Mine is really a long, funky story.

Originally, I used to go by HorseTurtle, when I solely hung out on TMNT listservs and stuff. My avatar was just another mutant turtle that time too. It was like a Turtley way of saying I was horse woman or a horse person.

But when I left the horse business, and started dabbling in more computer/technology based things... my mood changed. My avatar appearance also became that of a turtle-horse hybrid, with cybernetic features. Then this idea of being an Internet loving, cyber horse junkie grew on me, and I started using HorseTechie in more and more places.

My username is in honor of one of our most famous former residents - the colorful outlaw Billy the Kid, who is buried less than 100 miles from my home.

The famous or infamous William H. Bonney was born in New York in 1859 and died in New Mexico in 1881 at the tender age of 21. But he sure packed a lot of action and crime into those 21 years.

To some he is a hero. To others a cold-blooded killer. Probably he was both.

But I have always wanted to use him as a username and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Was going to use Shredder in my name (because he's my favorite character). But I decided to use something not turtle related.

Yeah, that's also been mentioned. I did a few reports on Billy the Kid in school (well, since "Young Guns" is my favorite flick ever it made it an attractive subject for me to do a report on) and I've read a lot of evidence both supporting and contradicting the theory that "Brushy Bill Roberts" was actually Billy the Kid. Personally, I think it's possible, maybe even likely depending on certain evidence, but I wouldn't put money on the theory either.

I know it's far from the normal choices people usually list as their favorite movies, but for what it's worth I've seen both Young Guns movies probably a thousand times each and they're still enjoyable to me, which is all I can really ask for in a movie. Add in all the little things like an all-star cast of stars who can actually act, a great dramatic script(s) based on a true story and the fact that Jon Bon Jovi wrote the music for the sequel and what's not to love? :D

It's just a solid movie with a little bit of everything. It's funny, but it's not a comedy. It's powerful, but it's not really a drama. It has action, but it also has heart. In short, it's just a plain good movie, and I think it's actually better off that it isn't more reknowned or appreciated, because as a rule, the more a product is accepted or recognized by the public, the greater the lapse in quality. If Young Guns had been a success on the level of The Matrix we'd be on the fifth sequel starring Billy the Kid's ghost by now. :lol:

Heh, finally I have the time to sit and write this out.

Okay, I've been using Kali as a nickname for years, even before I got the Internet. Even back then I was a writer, and was constantly looking for the right pen name. (I have stuff signed with names like Kitty Laine and Luna Moonbeam.)

When I started high school, I ran into an old friend who had been studying new age spirituality, just like I had. We got a few other people and started a group, and we all had special names to use within the group. I happen to have a handful of name books I constantly use for characters. I spent a few days looking through them and finally decided on Kali.

Kali is the name of a Goddess (whom I knew very little about until later,) but it also has a general meaning of "dark goddess" and "full of energy". This name actually stuck with me. Occasionally, if I'm signed up somewhere that already has a member named Kali, I'll use a second name like Gargoyle (from my time in the Gargoyles fandom) or Shedemon (reflecting my current avatar.)

Yeah the one with him in the group. That is so wicked to have a group like that! They are each their own turtle! That is awesome. And to think that the sais, katanas, nunchuks are real, and looks like the bo staff is a broom stick but still awesome! And yeah they had their undershirts as their colours for TMNT. I just checked the post your pic thread where he originally posted it but his angelfire site seems to have been killed like mine. Yeah I opened it and it said just like mine....it violated angelfires Terms of Service. So he will have to re upload it and post it. But I wish I had a group like that it was a great picture!

I used to go by The Raven, but I was in desperate need of a new name. I had recently saw the movie Son-In-Law and I liked the name that Pauly Shore's character had - "Crawl". Instead of just taking if from the movie, I decided to put some creativity into it. I started saying that "Crawl" was just short for "Nightcrawler" (not the X-Men character and not as in 'worm'), which is what I call people who love the night and prefer it to day.

A few months after I changed my name to "Crawl", I changed the spelling of "Nightcrawler" to "Knightkrauler" and my name changed to what it is today. 8)

hmm it s been a bit since i have been here (if anyone even remebers me i will be surpriesed) so what better place to start reposting

the user name is from earlier in my life on the net when i went by the name edgemaster seeing as how i played alot of online games and the guy in the game had every weapon thought it was fitting as i thought i could handel every weapon (boy was i wrong). soon it just became edge and then it became a charecter i use in stories and such and want to make into a comic or tv show or somethng along those lines. so edge is me and since i dont like to use a flase identidey its edge. simple aint it

Well, a long time ago me and a couple of friends were watching the Crocodile Hunter show on Animal Planet. The episode was about the plagues of Australia and one of them was the cane toad, the most poisonous toad in the world. It's Latin name is "Bufo Marinus"....my real name is "Marinus" (I didn't pick it either) so since then my friends called me "Bufo Marinus" and after some time the Marinus part fell off. Even my parents and people at school call me Bufo all the time.

Ok, the first name I ever posted under was at Shockonline Forums. I was known as STK333(thats why you see STK333 in my banner). STK stands for Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. And 333 is my favorite number. So then one day I was watching Sponge Bob(cause Sponge Bob owns) and saw the HashSlingingSlasher. At the time Shockonline was a VB board and had a store. So I went to the store and went to change my name, well HashSlingingSlasher wouldn't fit so I made it SlingingSlasher. So for about a month or 2 I was known as SlingingSlasher. Then I found out my cousin's cat was having kittens. So I got to name one and I named one. I named it Shorty. So then later, my cousin had to get rid of all the cats excpet 2, well Shorty was picked to stay. Later down the road, he started having problems, and was takin to the hospital, he had to have a tube in him so he could piss and he had to have shots to eat. So he was in pretty bad condition, but being the fighter he was, he got back to him normal health in no time. Now even later down the road, they had to give away Shorty and Rikku(the other that was kept), so I use the name Shorty in rememberence(sp.?) of Shorty. So thats just a little history about me and my usernames. 8)
