I know I’ve mentioned bfirely about this in other threads, but I think it would be nice to get everyone’s thoughts on it Plus, we have a few more weeks before new episodes, so it'll be fun to speculate.

What do you think will eventually happen with Karai? Assuming that the turtles rescue her. Will she move in with the turtles?
Will Master Splinter want to be turned human now that he has his daughter back?

or do you think they’ll just strech out her storyline over a few seasons before they start to deal with these questions

or anything about Karai's fate can be discussed!

Really don't see her moving in with the Turtles and her father even after she gets cured, but you know she won't want anything to do with Shredder and go back to him (unless she does indeed succumb to the mind control serum, but that's another situation that may or may not happen yet).

I'd like to see her act as a distant but dependable ally. Always roaming the city away from Shredder and the lair out of fear she might lead him to them somehow. But also be in touch with them in case she hears something about what Shredder's up to and stop him. Have her ultimate goal be overthrowing Shredder with the help from her family so that she may control the Foot and possibly go back to Japan. I'd also maybe throw in some ambiguity that she may or may not become just as ruthless as Shredder once she assumes control after all. Just to compromise those who probably wished she was still a villain/anti-hero.

Darklight has it spot on I think. There are a couple of other possibilities though;

One is other than becoming an informant for the Turtles, that she becomes so obsessed with vengeance against Shredder that she becomes similar to the Newtralizer - a vigilante fighting against 1 specific enemy with no regard for others caught in between.

Apart from that its possible they will kill her off in some dramatic fashion.
She is in a dangerous position of being a relatively important character to both the primary villain and two of the primary heroes; she's not part of the primary cast herself, she isn't the only female cast member. This all added to her stint as a villain puts her in the dangerous 'Redeemed villain' category - a category which rarely ends with their long term survival

One of the sadder stories in there for sure. :ohwell: I question what's even going to become of that. I can't see it not being resolved somehow sooner or later, but to do so too quickly, after the way they've set it up, would seem like a cop-out.

Her mutation is different and accidental so it shouldn't be a quick fix... and no serendipitous cure discoveries (*cough* Mikey). Maybe they can get her mind back and stable again, but I wouldn't be surprised if they drag the snake thing out until the end of the series, making it less awkward (in the Leo-Karai kinda way) if she happens to live with them or the show simply ignores where she's living if she doesn't.

Given her youth, if she was a character the show could stand to lose I'd say (if cured) try to get her in with extended family Splinter still may have back in Japan, on either his or his wife's side, and let her try to return to a normal life there for the time being.

But I don't think the show should lose her, so if they do manage to demutate her and if it's too awkward for her to live with Splinter and the Turtles, maybe April and her father can take her in for a while.

I think this would be the best option, that way she doesn't have to die and it would kind of realistically keep her out of Shredder's clutches until he's deposed of.

It's also possible that once she's cured, she's the one to kill off Shredder and take over the Foot, ending the thousand year old animosity between the two groups.

I like the idea of curing her and sending her to live a normal life in Japan. But I also love sad stuff and can see her sacrificing her life to protect Splinter from Shredder. :teek:

I think she's gonna get brainwashed after they turn her back.

I'm surprised this hasn't come up, but I always thought she would be the one to take over the Foot Clan after helping the Turtles and Splinter defeat the Shredder, and the Hamato and Foot would then become allies. Karai would (maybe) return to Japan to restore some peace, given that I'm sure Shredder created quite a mess there. Kind of paralleling but the reverse of what happened at the end of volume 1 of the comics.

Assuming the show is renewed for further seasons, they could keep it open so that those members and/or former members of the Foot still loyal to the Shredder and want power returned to him would rebel. They could use the fact that she's actually a Hamato by blood against her, etc.

Haha in case it wasn't clear I was into the Karai story arc.
