Zulithe discovered the listings for Playmates upcoming figures (such as the recently revealed Fugitoid, Mozar, etc) & alongside them was none other than Lord Dregg!

With all of the talk of Lord Dregg having four arms, living on Planet Sectoid, and being the Lord of all insect life in the universe, it kind of reminds me of Maligna from the Archie comics. She was a lot more insectoid in design and she had four arms. I do like my Archie TMNTA after all!

Cool to know I'm not the only one thinking that. Yeah and if they were a couple, I'm sure for a lot of us original cartoon fans, that would then remind us of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

I look forward to this new incarnation of Dregg. Yeah, it would be cool if they utilized Maligna. I'm pumped for the episodes already. Just beam them directly into my brain, please. Yeesh, I don't envy Raph after reading this.

He should at least resemble the old character in some form, or else why give him the same name? They give him 4 arms and made him more vicious, but if he's not blue why used a name of an obscure character only die-hard TMNT fans would even remember?

Now I'm thinking about that line by Spiderbytes in s2 when he's captured by the Kraang. "I know bugs in high places!" Probably just a throwaway line but that got me more excited after re-watching this particular episode earlier.

I wonder if the "robug servants" will resemble (or led by) Skul & Bean, especially if there is indeed a Queen Maligna!

If this series will include Lord Dregg, maybe Corey Burton will voice him. That guy's voice is similar to the late Tony Jay's. You should have played Batman: Arkham City and Kingdom Hearts 3D.

Yes, Burton would rock hard. I've loved listening to that guy since discovering Transformers G1 in the early 90s. Dude can sound very menacing when he needs to. I loved his Hugo Strange. He'd make a great Dregg. Tony Todd could also make a pretty mean Dregg if the Nick crew are still asking horror movie celebs to do voice work.

Even with this design change I'm really happy they're including Dregg.
I hope Mung and Hi-Tech will be included as well.
Mung is probably one of my favorite old toon characters.:D

I loved Dregg, nice to see his return. I hope he makes a grand entrance. Like snuffing out the Krang, and pretty much being a bigger badder Alien invasion.


I loved Rita in the old power rangers, but when Lord Z came in and deposed of Rita like that took over, that show me, the Rangers were dealing with a larger threat.

I think the old Dregg was perhaps a bigger threat than the current Krang imo. I hope he is mean, nasty and scary.
