hey guys, that time of the month again, so this thread goes up
discussing DW's TMNT#4 since its hitting shelves tomorrow (today for some of you earlybirds)

what were your thoughts?

This issue was really wicked! You got to see the turtles more well just Raphael but was still wicked. Casey looks wicked as well. Very nice job LeSean. And the lines and action was just wonderful. I can't wait to see where this comic's story goes.

This issue kicks ass! But, it kinda had a cliff hanger, so I guess it' gonna be continued in the next issue. :-?

This issue was really INSANE!!! I liked Raph's moves A LOT. EXCELLENT job LeSean as always.

It was a really good issue. Like always. :wink: I really enjoyed the art, great job, as usual, LeSean. And the story was awesome, too. Let's just say, an overall great issue.

Great issue, as usual. I can't wait for next month's original story line though.

I liked the bit where Raph does his take on the Hulk. After all, he's mean and green! :D

Yea maybe show him just wondering and sitting on a rooftop seeing casey and coming down at him. But still very good. I cant wait till Issue 5!

Probably my favorite issue yet. Good art as usual Lesean. Although, I'm really waiting for #5 to see where this story is heading.

I got mine today! I would love to say that this was my favourite issue, but they've all been so good. Seriously Peter David is AMAZING and so is the art!!! This series blows me away. Next month cannot come fast enough

Wow, the first four issues have all been good but I really think with this issue the series is showing signs of greatness. The dark tone, the excellent backstory and motavation for Casey (the addition of Casey having a bit of brain damage is genius) and Lesean's art, as always, is great.

I don't think so. Could be that he was there before they moved to the city.. or that the farm was his grandparents too... we'll have see what the story is on that.

I'm really satisfied with this comic too, A little more on the background Casey's father had weith the PD gang. And... is it me, or does anyone else get DareDevil vibes from Casey's story? The father who's harrassed by a gang, and purhaps also killed. Casey taking on a vengance against them and what they do, and then, suddenly realizing that he's not a hero, but a terror that others hate. Kinda cool they tie it in like that, in a sense.

But yet, in this comic it doesn't look like it's all Raph's doing to make Casey realize how violent he is. It was the reactions from the everyday people he was trying to protect from everything bad that happens. I guess, Raph's confrontation just got the ball rolling round in Casey's head.

My only complaint about this issue... some of the ways Raph was drawn in the fight scenes were hard to make out. The panel to panel action seemed choppy too. But the little 'easter egg' signs and things in the background of many panels were amusing! :D

It was another good issue, but I can't say I'm fond of the the new coloring. They don't look right. The previous issues' coloring was far superior, IMO.

It was pretty good, but they should've shown the fight scene with Raph nearly bashing poor Mike's skull in.

Was that ripped off from that gang movie "The Warriors"? Replace "Purple Dragons" with Warriors, and have some guy clinking empty coke bottles together as he says it, and it's an uncanny resemblance.

I really liked this issue but I noticed a few things about it that may just be the way MY mind works.

Now casey is convinced that both of his parents are either just missing or dead. Something about the way everything ounds makes me wonder if maybe they just didn't abandon him and his only way to deal with it was to pretend that they were just missing and/or dead.

I also liked how he thought he was doing the right thing by trying to help the boy but in the end he ended up makeing the father look like a hero and himself more like a monster.

I have to say I really can't wait to see where this goes.

Lucky for me this month the first comic shop in israel was opend so i got #3 and #4(i got #1 also i only need #2) great issue i want to see the issue with the nano bots(suppose to be next but the end of #4 is saying like "to be continues" so i don't know)

Goodness... I really disliked this issue. I dunno maybe I would have liked it better had it have been the first book I read from the stash I bought today. Batman/Superman was the first, and that was mildly entertaining, and so was the rushed Transformers Armada 16 issue... but when I got to this, I was like UGH. Plot... rushed. Pencils... good, but were better in the first two issues, this one seemed lazy. Turtles... still pretty much nonexistant. Can't wait till next issue where it should stop with the character chopographies, and star the actual turtles.
