Humor is subjective to everyone, some prefer darker jokes while others like lighthearted banter. The Ninja Turtles are no exception, usually utilizing different methods to make both children and adults laugh until their guts bust. Whether it be pulling pop culture references in the Fred Wolf cartoon, slapstick, or sarcasm, the group has done several types of comedy. Outside the Ninja Turtles being television shows and movies with excellent action and memorable characters, they also have us chuckling like a comedy show that airs on the weekends.
With all that said, what moments have made you laugh and why? It can be from any incarnation or character, feel free to share. Who knows, you might laugh out loud again from these today.

Too many to count! One of the moments that's stuck in my head is from "Case of the Hot Kimono" when they made a fake commercial with the jingle "Kimono Kal is your pal." Also, Raphael's one-liners are definitely a highlight from the original cartoon.

I have one that really made laugh but for the wrong reasons. It's from Turtle Tunes. I know we all laugh at in general but for this part I lost it. I was crying and everything. It just hit me ya know. Some things affect people more than others.
So it was during the song on the playground about not talking to strangers and having a family code word. Where the guy in the ninja outfit approaches the group of kids and tells the boy his mother asked him to pick him up. So the kid, while hesitant, still asks him the code word but the guy doesn't know it so he walks away with his friends.
It struck me as hilarious because apparently the fact that he's wearing a ninja outfit in broad daylight is not as alarming as not knowing the code word.
What tipped you off son?...well he didn't know our family code word. The costume was odd but I had to ask

Believe it or not, the Mirage comics have had some funny moments, like in the "Unmentionables" story when Casey comes in half frozen to death mumbling about the cow statue, and Don's like "Oh no, his brain froze up! He's babbling nonsense!"

I remember bursting out laughing in TMNT 2k3 Season 4: Episode 1...
Mikey: "Ahh... that's... better? *Sniffs* Ew! What's that smell?! It smells like burnt--"
Splinter: *Glares at Mikey*
Mikey: "Oh, right. Sorry, Sensei!"

Too many to mention. There were a lot of funny moments in the 1987 cartoon and some comic relief in the 2003 series. I think the banter between Shredder and Krang is entertaining to watch and has aged well.

Too many moments to name that have made me laugh from both the Fred Wolf cartoon and the Nick series. :tlol:
One FW episode in particular that cracked me up was in Michelangelo's Birthday from Season 3, when Shredder sprays the turtles with the retromutagen and they all blow up like balloons.
When Shredder shows Krang on the communicator he says, "As you can see, the turtles are no more."
Krang replies, "Well if you ask me the turtles are a LOT more."
When I first saw this watching it as an adult, I couldn't stop laughing. I don't know why, it just struck me funny. :tlol::tlol::tlol:

I like the dream Leonardo had in "Take me to Your Leader where Shredder is planning to take all of the cheese Danishes
"We are a thousand miles below the surface of the Earth. Do you realize how hard it is to get a decent snack around here?!"
and Donatello saying" There are people who need those cheese Danishes!" xD

Turtles Forever - OT Shredder and Krang's bickering, Mirage Shredder's undignified death and 2k3 Mikey screaming with fear while riding the turtle blimp. Ah, that was a fun film.
Ninja Turtles 2014 - The shushing and grabbing of faces while they try to sneak back into the lair. It was a Three Stooges moment I really liked.
Cockroach Terminator - This was essentially a Raph torture episode, and by god it was funny.
Mazes and Mutants - Mikey's Gollum impersonations.
Meet Casey Jones - Raph freaking out at the cockroach, jumping into his shell and plopping on the floor.
Pizza Face - "Eat me! Eat me! EAT ME!" *sentient pizza throws itself at Mikey's face*
A Foot Too Big - Big Foot discovers Ice Cream Kitty, freaks out and chucks the freezer through the wall.
There's definitely more scenes from the Nick series that made me giggle but I can't remember them all.

The Second Live action movie one scene cracks me up.
Donnie rips the tape off of Raphs mouth.
Raph-What are you trying to do rip my lips off!!!
Donnie- Let me get this first
Donnie rips the tape off of the professor's mouth
Donnie-I gotta get the hang of that.
From the OT:
The great cufflink caper
Donnie-Gansters are stealing cufflinks it mind boggling, it's baffling
Raph-It's incredibly stupid.
Outlaw hero:
Raph- yeah he even stole you mask idea
Casey- Copy right infringement, how low can you get.

When April tried to explain ninja turtles to Bernadette. :tlol:
When April forgot to turn-off flash on her camera phone, freezing the turtles from motion.
When Vern crashed the truck whilst staring at April's ass.
When Mikey said "If I don't come back, remember me April. I'll always be ... *points at her heart* .. here"
When Raph's loud, heartfelt confession at the end was cutoff after they landed safely.
When Leo got his face pushed by Raph.
When April was talking to herself and her roommate wanted to move out.
So much gold comedy. :tlol: :tlove:

The funniest movie scene is in The Secret of the Ooze when they are going to rescue Raph. One of the turtles says "it's a little too quiet" and when they find Raph Michelangelo says "it's a little too Raph".
In the IDW comics, I think around issue 40 when Raph and Alopex get knocked into the pigeon coop when Pigeon Pete shows up and scares them. I laughed way too hard at that.

I like the moment in Son of Return of the fly 2 from the FW cartoon where Don and Raph were about die from broken plastrons.
Raph asks Donatello if he can get loose from his bindings.
Donatello: No way, only a highly trained Ninja master can get through these ropes.
Leo appears just in the knick of time.
Donatello: Oh, hey Leonardo!

I think the most funny scene is in the 1987 cartoon episode "Attack of the Neutinos", in which Vernon is kidnapped by Shredder at Channel Six. I also like the dialogue between Vernon and Shredder.
Shredder tells Vernon that he's going to help him.
Vernon: But I don't know anything.
Shredder: That's never stopped you from talking before.

Too many to count! One of the moments that's stuck in my head is from "Case of the Hot Kimono" when they made a fake commercial with the jingle "Kimono Kal is your pal." Also, Raphael's one-liners are definitely a highlight from the original cartoon.
Yeah, this one cracked me up as a kid, too. When I first saw it, I thought the jingle was referring to him as "Mr. How" instead of "Kimono Kal" (don't how that came about). So I thought the jingle was like, "How, How, Mr. How." :tlol:
When I would play DK Country 2 on the SNES as a kid with my sister, one of the enemies we encountered in the swamp levels was Kloak, who was this floating pirate ghost who threw things at you and laughed. When he laughed, it always sounded like he was saying, "How, how, how!" Since we didn't know his real name, we just started calling him Mr. How, and it just stuck. I'd even start singing the jingle that I thought I heard from the Hot Kimono episode every time we fought him (yeah, I was an odd kid). :tlol::tlol::tlol:
Here is the first level where you encounter Kloak, you see him at about 30 seconds in:

Goodness - where to begin???
Sometimes I throw in little Ninja Turtle quotes for the slideshows in my team meetings at work to brighten things up a bit. These are some of the ones I've used recently.
Don: "What's the scoop, April?"
April: "So far everything is really quiet."
Raph: "Except for that flying bus."
Splinter: "Someone in that building has recently been inside a hospital."
April: "Wow. That's amazing. How can you tell?"
Splinter: "My keen sense of smell detects the odour of disinfectant. Also, that ambulance is double parked."
Don: [narrating] "Somebody had broken the law, and somebody was going to take a fall." *falls over*
Don: [under attack from Mirage turtles] "Why is he narrating? Is he crazy?"
Stockman: "I'll never talk!"
Raph: "You'd better, or I'm gonna get... sarcastic."
Splinter: "There is a saying: 'He who runs his mouth gets a face full of nunchaku.'"
Splinter: "I do not know why you spend your time playing fantasy games when your lies are already fantastic."
Shredder: "So let me see if I understand this correctly. All of you were defeated by a single turtle and a rat?"
Foot Ninja: "But the rat had a stick."

Giving the '87 series another watch, just the various little corny and wtf stuff here and there make me laugh...
Early in the first episode when April is being chased by thugs she's running through the sewers and stops to talk to herself, loudly. Takes off again and runs smack into a brick wall.
Season 2 ep 5 - currently watching
Shredder transforms Leo's swords.
Leo: "Ice cream cones? Ew, yuck!" and throws them down.
Someone doesn't like ice cream... :tlol:
Shredder on a flying carpet.
Splinter breaks the Turtles out of a bubble with his walking stick, though Leo has had his swords back for a while and Raph's got his sais.
Season 2 ep 8 - Shredder using a "holographic projector" to look like he's wearing normal clothing instead of just putting some on.

1987 Season 2 ep 10
Are there two Turtle vans? o.O Because the Turtles purposely drive off a bride through a hole in it, the whole van ending up in the water, then a minute and a half later April and Splinter (who aren't with the Turtles ) are driving down a street in it. :tlol:

In Muckman Messes Up, when Splinter is a prisoner in the Technodrome, he tells Shredder that evil will never triumph over good.
Shredder says to Splinter "Don't be ridiculous. Of course it can. Why else would I be in this line of work?"
I think the 1987 characters said a lot of good one-liners.
Also, in Return of the Shredder, there's a funny scene, in which Shredder scares off two criminals when he arrives back on Earth.

Krang and Shredder are in an escape pod.
Krang:I can't believe we are going to spend an eternity cooped up in the tiny live pod

Krang: Why don't you jettison your head because its the most useless thing in here.

In Shreeka's Revenge, Shredder and Krang have some fun banter after talking with Shreeka near the beginning of the episode.
Krang: How dare that woman accuse me, the mighty Krang, ruler of Dimension X, of stealing her dopy ring?
Shredder: So you didn't do it?
Krang: Of course I did. I just didn't like being accused of it.
In My Brother, the Bad Guy, Shredder's brother asks him how he can destroy the world like this. Shredder replies "Simple. We've already tried every other way."
In Shredder Truimphant, Shredder says "Destroy those wretched reptiles" at the Asian arts exhibit. Leonardo replies "Gee, Shreadhead, can't you think of anything new to say?"

Shreekas revenge had a few pearls itself indeed. But a moment who really made me laugh was when Shredders mom came into the Technodrome and started to team up with Krang. Their relationship was so funny to watch. And Krangs teasing afterwards was even better.
One of the funniest moments also was the scene shown in my signature. I think it was in season 3 or 4 maybe even 5 dunno, anyway. The scene after Krang turned purple and Shredder began to compliment his eye color. A rare pearl of where it was truly shown that the two voice actors Avery and Fraley really played them as married couple, completing with Krangs reaction to Shredders compliment xD

Shredder's Mom was the funniest episode, in my opinion. There were a lot of hilarious scenes in that ep. Pity that Shredder's mother never made another appearance. She was an interesting character.
I agree that one of the funniest moments is the scene shown in your signature. It was in the season 6 episode Adventures in Turtle-Sitting. I haven't seen that ep in years, but I still remember that scene.
I think the scenes where Shredder and Krang acted like a married couple were some of the funniest in the series and have aged well. They were ahead of their time. Another good example of Krang and Shredder being played as a couple is in the episode Beware the Lotus, when Shredder takes Krang back near the end of the ep.

Another OT episode that comes to mind is "Four Turtles and a Baby", where the turtles had to take care of a baby Neutrino named Tribble. Towards the end of the episode, Channel 6 is doing a special on babies, and invites families to come to the Channel 6 Building. Then here comes Bebop pushing Rocksteady in a baby carriage, both dressed as mother and baby, with Shredder posing as the father so that they can try and nab Tribble.
Well as soon as I saw that scene (now as an adult) I completely lost it. My brother and I couldn't stop laughing for like 5 minutes!! :tlol::tlol::tlol::tlol:
It's moments like those that really make you love the OT despite all of its campiness and goofiness. Love it.

Yeah when they are in the Idaho Potato costumes, it definitely brings a chuckle. I think that might've been a reference to the California Raisins. Anyone here remember them?
Also, in the beginning of that episode, it cracks me up when Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady and Shredder are all stuck under his cape. I find it hilarious that they all fit under there. :tlol:
