I don't know if anyone noticed this. But there is a pizza over the wood oven in the kitchen. And yet they never knew what pizza is before they are fifteen years old.

Wouldn't they have questioned why a clock is yellow with red polka dots?

Have anyone not noticed the pizza clock?

Clock? Anyone got another image of it, hard to really tell the true colors in this shot due to shadows. Can't say I've ever paid too much attention to the clock. (Sorry clock/clock creator.)
If that is a pizza sort of oven it's over, I'm a bit more amused by that part. lol But, well, gotta make the environments for the show what they'll need to be in the long term I guess.
Even through tv alone it's a bit hard to believe they wouldn't know of pizza.

Well, yeah, but it's a clock that resembles a pizza and most likely, the Turtles wouldn't have suspected a thing and potentially believe that's how a clock would look like considering they didn't know what "pizza" was.
I mean, I wouldn't say it's highly unusual. We've seen items that the family has that resembles food such as the "Cheese-Phone".
@IndigoErth
Splinter could have limited or completely restricted the Turtles from what they could see of the outside world as not to tempt them into wanting to check out the city for themselves when they weren't ready.

The image is too small for me to see if its a clock or not. But I do see the irony.

Your idea of acceptable grammar sets a far worse example than anything this series does.

Would there being a pizza clock in the kitchen of someone who's never had pizza before really be all that ironic?

If they were really so clueless about it, then I want to see that moment when they got home and went "Ohhhh... So that's what that is." lol

You guys have no idea they make pizza clocks? They make clocks based on anything. Here's some real life pizza clocks:

The fact it's a pizza clock wasn't what was ironic. What was ironic was that they had never seen or heard about what a pizza is before they were fifteen years old. And yet they had a pizza clock at home for I don't even know how long.

Whoa. I never even noticed that clock. Good catch, VA. Yeah, it is ironic if that's supposed to be a pizza clock.

Yeah, it's one of those things people are just going to have to forget. Although, I thought the whole opening scene when everyone was so amazed with the unexplored world, except for Raph, was going to lead onto more stories later on for Raph. He really seemed like he had been up there, many times. And the way he looked weird and sounded like he was lying about how the pizza "never looked like any food I have seen" well, looked just like that, he seemed to be lying. But, those were different writers at a different time, and my oh my, how things have changed since then.
