He's good at themes, like Iron Man 3 and Thor, but sucks at creating actual music.

I would like for the classic theme, to somehow be incorporated into the score for the sequel.

That score is quite nice but quite generic... why didn't Platinum Dunes go with Jablonsky? That guy's stuff is GREAT and they've used him for all four Transformers films.

Yes, yes, and yes. See, that Iron Man 3 theme is pretty good. It's just the rest of the music that's unbearably lackluster.

No wonder he ripped himself off for TMNT.

His TMNT theme is very generic and not even too representative of the turtles. The TV shows have much better music than the 2014 film does.

I've liked his scores in some movies, but TMNT was a snooze fest.

His score for TMNT was okay, but somewhat generic.. almost like it was "manufactured".. it was missing that "umph" or something to separate TMNT from everything else. I feel like that score could've been slapped on a direct-to-dvd superhero movie.

The score in film 1 was a little flat at times, and a little too noticeable at times. That said, there were some great moments. I love the TMNT March and the Foot Clan tracks. For me it was fine. I've got no issue with him returning for film 2.

Also, less choir. TMNT doesn't seem like it needs all of that choir. His music contrasted with the tone of the film so much. When the situation was light, he'd have dark music, and vise versa. It didn't work.

He scored a film that had mutated foot soldiers, a Karai/April fight scene, ritualistic suicide, big battles, April & Raph sneaking around in Times Square, etc. not exactly what the final product was. Or at least I assume that's the case... I dunno the process all too well.

I'm not sure, but I'm relatively positive film composers only compose once they see the "final" draft of the movie. Like, King Kong changed composers a week before the film was released.

Reminds me of how similar the Superman The Movie, and MOTU movie themes are.

Though, a better comparison would how similar the S:TM theme is to the Indiana Jones theme (both by John Williams).
