Turtle Wedding

So I recently got married and instead of having a flower in the pocket, I had a turtle figure. I had Leo cause I was the lead dude, and my 3 groomsman had the others. :tgrin:

Never really gave that any thought, I'd prob only give a subtle nod if any, but now you've got me considering that "something blue" line... A little blue ribbon-like mask might be very easy to include somehow. Hmmm. :tsmile:

I'd love to do something with turtles when I get married. I don't know if i can stash a figure in my dress. I know I'm wearing my red converses under my dress. Maybe I can get some Blue-red-purple-orange-colored garters. XD
I also like the idea of naming the tables after mine and my boyfriend's favorite fandom areas. Like one table can be the Sewer Lair or something like that.

Heck, some people include a second "groom's cake" now that can be anything you want, so perfect excuse to a second cake that's entirely Turtles themed. :D

I have SO many ideas for nerdy, geeky stuff at my wedding, which isn't even on the horizon as I'm not engaged, that I have to go in an cull back every so often. As much as I love TMNT, I also love Kaiju and Final Fantasy and horror themes so I have to find an appropriate balance.

That being said, a TMNT cake could be sooooo cool. It could be done so many ways! I've seen people do manhole cakes with the boys lifting it up, like the posters from the 1st movie. Or just having figures on the cake because I do love my figures. :D I just hope the man is ok with it. He's not much of a TMNT fan. lol
To be honest, I don't really like cake. I might just get a pile of doughnuts and give them TMNT colors.

Me and my girl want a nerd wedding and we're already thinking of some stuff, for example we'll be dressed in a similar fashion to Leia's and Han's clothes from Star Wars (still have to convince her to have the best man dressed as Chewbacca and her father as Darth Vader though LOL), we'll give LEGO minifigs to our guests and the tables will reference places from movies and video games like Raccoon City, Silent Hill, Hoth or Mordor for example, we still have to think on some way to put the Turtles in there, maybe have the band dressed as them (http://pricednostalgia.com/content/wp-content/uploads/33683.jpg)? :trazz:
