Like the list your fav threads but for the incarnations of the turtles and other main characters you 'hate' the most.
My personal hated incarnations:
Leo: Nick/Bayturtles(tie)
Donatello: Nick/Bayturtles(tie)
Michelangelo: Nick/Bayturtles(tie)
Raph: Nick/Bayturtles(tie)
Splinter: Nick/Bayturtles(tie)
April: Nick/Bayturtles(tie)
Casey: Nick
Shredder: Nick
What's yours? All my hates just happened to be the Nick Show. Couldn't decide between that and the Bay turtles so i made them ties.

Yea PD Turtles were pretty bad. Hell, almost everything about that movie was pretty bad. So putting that aside...
Leonardo: Fred Wolf by far. He was whiny and not funny at all, which made him not fit very well in considering the show was a comedy. Donatello felt more like a leader in this series.
Raphael: Dunno, 4Kids perhaps? Especially as the show went on. His anger would cloud his judgement often. Him and Michelangelo got worse as the show went on.
Michelangelo: 4kids by a long mile. Childish, unfunny, annoying, arrogant, cowardly, immature and lacked common sense. He got WAY worse after winning the Battle Nexus tournament.
Donatello: Donatello is probably the Turtle that annoys me the less in every incarnation. Hell I can even tolerate Cody Feldman's interpretation of his character, even though that's probably my least favorite Don aside from PD. I've only watched a few eps from the Nick toon, but can't say I've liked Don much in them.
Splinter: Don't have any issue with any incarnation of him.
April: Megan Fox. All other Aprils are alright despite having their flaws.
Casey: 4Kids. He was too much of a brainless hothead idiot. He was that in FW as well, but at least he was entertaining there. Corporate Raiders from Dimension X was an awesome episode.
Shredder: White Shredder... oh wait, he turned out to be japanese after all. Well PD Shredder is still the worst Shredder of them all.
Have not watched The Next Mutation btw. So in case anyone asks me why there's no TNM incarnations in my post, there ya have it.

Leo: Archie. Yes Leonardo, we get it, you(r writer) hate(s) guns.
Don: Nick, but only in regards to the love plot really.
Raph: Video games, his reach is too short.
Mikey: PD
Splinter: PD, although he barely exists here anyway.
April: Can I say that Archie Mini Series? If not, maybe vol 4 Mirage.
Casey: Nick
Shredder: Nick / PD

Raph: Video games, his reach is too short.
He was useless in the first ever TMNT NES game. As was Mike. Leonardo was alright and Donatello was by far the best.
In games like the arcade beat 'em ups and the domestic port of Turtles in Time, Raphael is alright. He's the fastest turtle, I think.

Wow so much anti-love for OT boys. My least list goes like this:
Leo- TNM. Actually, they were ALL bad ther. So bad, I only ever got through 17 episodes before I stopped watching it.
Donnie- my least fave of him would be from PD It's not that he was "bad", just "meh".
Raph- also PD. He was TOO big and "tough loner" guy trope.
Mikey- Nick, by FAR. Too dumbed down, childish, and randomly weird for no real reason.
April- I'd say TNM, but she wasn't even IN it! Otherwise, PD, I guess.
Splinter- maybe TNM, though I liked that he had the friend ha played chess with.
Shredder- tie between TNM and PD. Both were just plain boring.

Maybe I'm gonna get hate for this, but I don't like April in either Mirage or the FW cartoon. Mirage April seemed to curl up and act emo a lot, while FW April seemed to have very little personality outside of snarkiness (a trait she shared with the other main characters) and selfishness. Technically both cases are better than Megan Fox's rendition of the character but I didn't really have any high expectations from Fox or anyone else in that movie.
I've stated this before, Nickelodeon's Mondo Gecko is terrible. He's annoying, unlikable and feeble, I really hate his guts. The only thing about him that I liked was seeing him get kicked by Hun, that's how bad he is people, the only enjoyable part about him was to see him get abused.
I don't like the Shredder in the first movie, he's basically Mirage Shredder without the grey morality and an expansion of his character that basically amounts to him sitting around doing nothing until the final fight. It's not even clear what he wants to do, use an arcade to brainwash kids into becoming ninjas?
Oh and he also had a costume with glitter. I mean seriously? Glitter? The helmet already a little too big for me to take it seriously, but did they really have to top it off with glitter?

Hmmm....
Leo: Either PD or 2007. In 2007 he's just an insuferable fuddy-duddy who, unlike Casey flippin' Jones, can't recognize his brother in a black costume...(oh God....I just realized...was...was that an Alternate Raph/Stump Wrestling costume reference?) PD Leo is just there....he's not much of a leader, in fact of the 4 PD Turtles, he the least himself...heck he's not even an over exageration of himself.
Don: PD or Next Mutation. In NM, he's incredibly closed minded to Venus' mysticism (again...does IDW's Don pull from THIS?) and comes off as a complete jerk in the process. PD's Donnie is an over the top nerd caricature. Where Leo is the least himself, Donnie is himself turned up to 11.
Raph: PD and if I had to pick a 2nd....maybe Image....I dunna. PD because he's just a hulking brute and not much else, like I said he wears his "character" on his sleeves. Image mainly because I'm wondering if someone raised to hate the Shredder would BECOME the Shredder. Maybe it's an attempt to show Raph really hates himself...oooo deep. :P
Mikey: PD and, as you all know, 4Kids. Both are insufferable. PD is horn dog, and 4Kids is a show boat. Where's the sensitive ar-tiest?
Splinter: PD plain and simple. Maybe NM as a 2nd...but most Splinters are fairly similar. PD's version is abusive...and learned martial arts from a graphic novel. BOOO!
Shredder: PD and Utrom Shredder. Utrom Shredder only because he wouldn't die....he just came back again and again and got more and more ridiculous. PD Shredder was better out of the armor, but then there's the Megatron meets Silver Samurai armor....blech.
April: PD and TMNT 2 and 3. No offence to Paige Turco, but she ain't no Judith Hoag. She's MILES better than Megan Fox though.

I've decided not to mention the Platinum D. incarnation because... so obvious. Minimum criteria for character inclusion is that there are at least three different incarnations.
Leo: 2k7 Imagi
Raph: I like him for the early season of 4Kids, but he really starts to become stale around the fourth season. He's always throwing away his weapons!
Michelangelo: Fast Forward - Back to the Sewers seasons of 4Kids. He actually did have some fine character development episodes during the first four seasons like the first Turtle Titan adventure and "Grudge Match."
Donatello: Mirage Comics
Splinter: Mirage Comics (Volume 4 & Tales of the TMNT era... what a hypocrite)
April O'Neil: Image Comics
Casey Jones: Some episodes of 4Kids and some issues of Image & Mirage Volume 4 era. Even at his coolest, Casey is sort of a pathetic character (http://tmntentity.blogspot.com/2010/05/casey-jones-badass-or-loser.html).
Fugitoid: Pretty much the same character across the multiverse. MACC fills the role in his one Fred Wolf appearance.
Utroms: 4Kids... way too benevolent of a race to be taken seriously.
Irma: Archie. Yeah, she did appearance once or twice. I love the twist in Nick, even if the timing of her heel turn doesn't make a lot of sense.
Shredder: 4Kids (such a shallow character motivation despite his complicated backstory)
Krang/Kraang: I think I've enjoyed all his incarnations
Baxter Stockman: Again, I think he's always been interesting and pitiable.
Karai: IDW; she's yet to receive any sustained interesting development.
Rocksteady & Bebop: All good, so far.
Hun: IDW
Rat King: 4Kids
Slash: Fred Wolf, though he does have his charms
Leatherhead: 4Kids
Mondo Gecko: Fred Wolf
Wingnut & Screwloose: Fred Wolf
Ray Fillet: Fred Wolf approximation... though granted "Ray" is an interesting character in his own right.
Mutagen Man: Fred Wolf (poor execution and under usage)
Pigeon Pete: Fred Wolf, I guess... not much to work with.

WOAH wait, hold on guys, the PD Turtles' personalities were the only good things about the movie .-.
Anyway...
- Leonardo: (2k7 "TMNT") Whiny and a suckup, these are certain character traits of Leo in other incarnations, but they abandon every other part of the character that make him likable and make these unlikable traits his full-on character. Blah.
- Raphael: (Fred Wolf) Sarcastic. I like sarcastic characters, but, really? With Raph? He's supposed to be the gritty one, right? That's an odd dash away from an original character if I've ever seen one. Not to mention just how unlikably lazy he sometimes is.
- Donatello: (The Original Movies) Besides some mumbo jumbo talk exchanged with the guy from TGRI in SoTO, did this Donnie ever show any signs of being very intelligent compared to his brothers? Or, at the very least, did he even get a personality besides being a second Mikey? I guess he gets so little screentime that he can't really develop a personality, but, c'mon. The first movie is just about the biggest offender to this.
- Michelangelo (4Kids/2k3) He started off the show a witty and fun character. More sarcastic than he was stupid, which is, in my opinion, the best representation of Mikey. Unfortunately, I think it was midway through Season 2 when he started down a quick downward spiral and not only became an idiot, but a loudmouthed assault on the ears. Eventually, he just "grew" to be an Annoying Machine for Raph, which got insanely grating after awhile.
- Splinter (PD/BayAliens) He learned ninjitsu from a book, managed to teach some Turtles the same thing using the skills he learned, and treats his sons more like pets and doesn't act nearly at all like a father. Yup. This Splinter is balls.
- April (PD/BayAliens) Ooh boy, this movie again. Joy. This one was very close between what I chose and TMNT. I eventually decided a poorly told, half-assed backstory that somehow connects her to the Turtles and having that be the only thing that holds her to the movie was a lot worse than having zero personality. Plus, dat kick to Shreddertron tho. Why does it exist.
- Casey Jones (Nick) There are few things about Nick and 2k3 I hate. Post-Season 1-ish Mikey is annoying and I'd rather not watch episodes centered around him, but I don't hate him, since he does have a hint of that Mikey charm within him. Now, when I first saw "The Good, The Bad, and The Casey Jones", it seriously looked like Casey was going to be a badass character (like he should be) that is always hanging around with Raph and, of course, flirting with April every now and again. Take his friendship with Raph and his badass level away, amp up his flirting with April about 11 notches, and throw in a bunch of idiot and annoying, and his personality becomes an annoying guy who might get in the way of Donnie and April or... whatever this show wants from Casey. JESUS, this character is so annoying and worthless. Definitely one of the few things from Nick I absolutely HATE.
- Shredder (PD/BayAliens) Almost said Fred Wolf. But since I actually like that character, no. Plus I didn't even think about Bay's movie beforehand. His backstory with the Hamato Yoshi and Splinter getting thrown away gives him no purpose to be hunting down Splinter and the Turtles, making him a shallow and worthless character. I mean, I could say a lot about this character, but I've already vented out everything I don't like about this character, so I'll just sum him up with one word: worthless.
Wow. Typed more than I wanted to there. Enjoy my novel I guess :P

Extremely surprised about how many picked Michelangelo from 4kids as their most hated. He's the universally most hated character in the Nick series even by the fans.
There's no depth to him. He just spouts out random, zany Ish for the H-e-double hockey sticks of it.
This one's a lot harder, somehow. I guess I tend to like most of the different versions of these characters than I dislike, so the pool of choices'll be a little shallower this time.
Leonardo: BayTurtles
Mainly due to there just not being much to the guy at all. Kind of the case with all of the Turtles in that movie, honestly - they didn't to the work to make them feel "real" so they mostly felt one-note and forgettable. And Johnny Knoxville's voiceover was really out of place.
Donatello: BayTurtles
Same as above. He was probably the most likeable of the four in that movie, but he doesn't come close to most other versions of Donnie. The overboard "HE'S THE NERD" costume/accessory choices didn't help much, either.
Though Nick has come close at points. He's mostly likeable, and Rob Paulsen is excellent, but his Nice Guy routine with April really grates on me. I'm glad they seem to be laying off that a bit lately.
Raphael: BayTurtles
He's got the "gruff loner" personality, but in the most bland/lazy way possible. And even though he had the most screentime of the four, I didn't feel he had the heart or emotional depth that makes most other versions truly likeable. Without that his "emotional breakdown" scene was laughable.
Michelangelo: BayTurtles
Noel Fisher's actual performance was easily the best of the four, but Mikey managed to be the most thoroughly unlikeable Turtle in the movie, considering his entire characterization was basically "promote Orange Crush and Pizza Hut, fart, sexually harass Megan Fox".
The 2003 and Nick versions also got pretty irritating at times, but not in this gross creeper way.
Splinter: BayTurtles
Do I need to explain this? The five seconds he fought rat-style were decent -- though IMO, Nick did it better -- but there was almost nothing to his character, and the stupid backstory they gave him (or lack thereof) was pitiful. Weeaboo Splinter! Also, he was absolutely hideous. Nothing to like here.
April: BayTurtles
The worst. Totally incompetent and impossible to sympathize with, even with the "tragic backstory" they tried to cram in -- the 1990 movie's one line about April missing her dad did more to humanize the character than all of the flashbacks and contrived backstory connections in this thing. Megan Fox's rotten performance did nothing to salvage it, either. Awful.
Casey: Nick/2012 Series
I actually kinda like him for the most part, but I just happen to like all of the other versions more. Turning Casey into a teenager just doesn't work for me overall, though, and I feel like he's less a loveable jackass than just a douchebag a lot of the time.
Shredder: BayTurtles
You could count his lines of dialogue on your hands, he had no real backstory or motivation, his power-armour was idiotic, and he basically played sidekick to a generic corporate villain with a masterplan that made no damn sense. All-time low for the ol' Shred-Head.
Karai: IDW Comics
I almost want to say BayTurtles, but it's hard to count that version as a character at all, even by that movie's thin standards.
I feel bad saying IDW here. It's not that she's a bad character by any stretch - it's just that I don't think they've fully developed the character yet, and so she's a bit underwhelming compared to previous versions, at least at this point. I totally expect this to change, and soon. So yeah - I don't dislike her by any stretch, but if I have to pick one...
Baxter: Fred Wolf/1987 Series
The whitewashed, pathetic sycophant takes this one easily. Though I'm not super fond of the Nick version either, really. Baxter should exude arrogance, and these two in general feel like insecure losers.
Bebop and Rocksteady: Fred Wolf/1987 Series
I know this sounds like sacrilege, but it's purely another "if I have to pick one" situation, because I actually really love every version of Bebop and Rocksteady. The only reason I give it to the '87 versions is because I feel they got almost too dopey and "soft" as time went on. But, again - I like them a lot.
Leatherhead: Fred Wolf/1987 Series

Not very fond of Splinter in the 2012 series unlike his previous incarnations. From FW to '03 Splinter is a patient and wise Sensei who raised the four turtles. In the new show he's unforgiving and heavy-handed. They're teenagers not adults. I particularly disliked the scene when he scolded Donny because she didn't like him and kept hitting him. Besides, Splinter let his wife get killed by Shredder so who is he to give advice? Splinter and Kirby O'Neil, for me, are the worst parts of the 2012 show.

No - creepers make people feel uncomfortable with their gross and inappropriate behavior. Perverts just have deviant tastes from what's considered "the norm".
Example: A guy who enjoys light spanking or wearing women's underwear for titillation in the privacy of his own home (or amongst other deviants/appropriate IRL and internet venues) can be described (and can self-describe) as a pervert in a non-offensive way.
A guy who tells a woman he's just met that she makes his pants (or shell) tighten is a creeper. Being a creeper is never good.

Been on a few MKX boards lately, but with 'The not a FW Soft Reboot BT2', crappy treatment of 2K3 by nick and constant hiatus with nick I haven't really done much 'Ninja Turtling' of late - (Cheers Leo for Koining that).
Until now, I caught the first episode of NM and it was baaaaad. They somehow managed to screw up Michaelangelo's, Raphael's and Leonardo's personalities. Leo sounded like Raph, Raph sounded like Mikey and Mikey sounded like Leo, I can't even remember Donnie. So I would say they would be the worst incarnations I've seen on par with Everything Bay Turtles except the actors who played Karai and Shredder...Tohoru Masamune was the best thing about BT (Bay Turtles) and well they replaced him so good to see things are right on par like the first one. At least Brian Tee was awesome as Dark Liu Kang in MK Legacy so that's something....I guess...
I'm fine with most Nick incarnations except I'm not a fan of Nick's Casey Jones he's sleazy and annoying, sure he has heart but he just comes across as slimy. Great role model for boys there. April is a little too 'Mary Sue' but still no where near as bad as 'you know'...oh and Donnie's 'crush' is grating but hey it's Rob freakin' Paulsen, the guys is just awesome so I can forgive this version for now...
I got nothing bad to say about the 2K3 characters, I may be one of the only ones who likes 2K3 Mikey and 2K3 Raph grows on you. He had a lot of shades for a voice that seemed 'wrong' to start with. Now when I read comics I hear Gregory Abbey's 2K3 Raph instead of Josh Pais's Raph and it just works.
FW, goofy as it was I still like them all, though I can't sit through it anymore like I can 2K3.
Aaand I love all 3 1990 Movie incarnations.
So yeah NM and BT are the worst for me.
EDIT - Whoops Forgot the TMNT version, I was fine with most incarnations, again probably one of the few who likes a universally hated version of a turtle (non BT :tlol:) this time with Leo but hey he worked for me for the story. -

Leo: The 2007 one by far. This one acted like the biggest hypocrite of them all. He criticized Raph's vigilante alter ego, yet he himself and the other Turtles, not to mention Casey, are vigilantes. He's supposed to me more mature but has his moments with Raph where he blatantly says that he's better than him. He didn't lead nearly as well as his counterparts. He even thinks it's a bad thing to go out "like it's Halloween dressing up to fight crime" which is what they did before and SHOULD have continued doing. This Leo makes me shake my head every time. And the ironic thing is he got away from the Turtles so he could "be a better leader" yet his leading skills seemed to deteriorate, and his hypocrisy increased.
Raph: Nick: I feel like this one is kind of a show off and unlikable. I know Raph is always the angry one but the others could be likable, this one wasn't.
Mikey: Nick one. This version is WAY too immature. I know they are all teenagers and he's the youngest but he seems to go out of his way to be rude and disgusting. Not to mention he seems kind of dumb. Or just makes too many dumb choices.
Don: Probably the PD one. This one isn't as fun as the other versions I've seen and doesn't lighten up as much as the other versions, and not to mention having those glasses just to show he's a nerd.
Splinter: PD This one seems strange. He doesn't seem to be as caring as the other versions and seems outright abusive, rather than discipline the Turtles, sending them to the Hashi and having them break until they tell him what's going on. Maybe it isn't so bad, because the Turtles are great fighters and are used to such treatment, but it seems outright harsh.
Shredder: PD This one is forgettable. You don't see much of him, he speaks Japanese and English interchangeably for some reason and doesn't have the best kind of armor.
Casey: Nick: This one seems rather...slow. I know he's young but he's outright made some dumb decisions and have said the dumbest things I've heard on the show, not to mention too impulsive.
April: I guess it'd be the PD one. Not as memorable as the others and could be taken out of the movie and the movie would still go. She doesn't seem as motherly as the other versions either.

Ah, thanks for the explanation.

Guys, enough with the Turtles Forever nonsense. I'm literally sick of threads being derailed by this or biased opinions, it's irritating to the people who made these threads. I personally don't like the FW cartoon due to it's goofball nature 60% of the time, but I'd be damned if I said I don't respect it for bringing the franchise to life. I'm done with these comments, just keep it over with.

Dude, it's not that, people are finding it annoying that you keep posting about it. Yes, we get you don't like Turtles Forever at all, but you keep bringing it up constantly. You just can't leave well enough alone. I might not like Turtles Forever compared to TMNT or the first live-action film, but I consider it a fun little send off.

Aaannnyyway, I decided to change part of my vote. PD Leo wasn't "bad", just "meh". 2007 Leo, on the other hand, was a self-important, arrogant jerk who apparently didn't see the hypocrisy inherent in calling Raph out for his vigilantism when he himself had been playing "Ghost of the Jungle" for OVER A YEAR! And that "I'm better than you" was just a slap in Raph's face. Seriously, I have NEVER actively disliked Leo before, but I did in that movie. On top of it all, he gets himself captured and RAPH has to lead them all to save him! Irony? What's that?

When you're better than other people there's absolutely nothing wrong with pointing it out, so long as it's true. It's obnoxious but in no way illegal.
Well, in fairness, Leo was only in Central America because Splinter sent him away. Might as well help people out if you're stuck there anyway.
Though the bigger question has always been... what was Leo's leadership lesson supposed to be there, anyway? The best theory is Splinter sent him away just to see how long it'd take him to say "hey, **** this noise" and come right back. Well, Leo is a bit of a perfectionist - he gets very absorbed in mastering a specific skill and can sometimes lose focus on the bigger picture (ie, why he was learning the skill in the first place and how it fits in with the rest of his skillset).
Like in "The Shredder Strikes - Part 1" in the 2k3 series, where he gets so focused on perfecting his skill with the katana that he forgets a true ninja can make anything an effective weapon; that there are no superior weapons, only superior ninja.

MsMarvelDuckie
06-24-2015, 12:10 AM
No, I didn't misunderstand, but the idea that only a certain "type" of person would be a Leo fan doesn't follow. IE, if Leo fans are either first-born or only kids, then I should be one, right? Because I'm independent, mature (don't laugh- I've been hanging with adults since I was 6), and reliable-but Leo is my LEAST favorite of the turtles, because I find those traits boring in a character. In spite of traits in common, I don't identify with him AT ALL, because he's nothing like me in outlook. But by that logic, I SHOULD identify with him. Maybe some Leo fans identify with that, but I wouldn't say that's THE reason they do.
Also: Technically my hubby's not an "only" child, but the age gap with his brother is so wide he might as well be. Yet he's a Raph fan.

I loved the talk that no weapon is superior, and it's all about the person using it. It spoke to me in a deeper level when reading all the "katana vs any sword" debacle that's on the Internet.
The katana have been so extremely glorified by westerners it's hilarious to see how much they defend its "honor".

There were a lot of things that weren't explained. Why in Central America and how did he even get there? I guess he wore a human disguise or something but he still needed to pay for stuff and I doubt they'd let him keep swords on the airport. Unless maybe he just took a boat and sailed there.
But what WAS the reason why the group stopped fighting? Was there some sort of major team squabble that made Splinter say. "That's it, you idiots can't get along. Leo, go to Central America and I'll be sure to pay your way with money I don't have and that will somehow make you a better leader because you'll be doing stuff yourself. Yeah, you won't be in command of anything so that will somehow hone your skills as a leader. I apologize, I've been smoking something."
The ironic thing is, it didn't make him a better leader at ALL! He became a hypocrite, criticizing Raph's alter ego because he was a vigilante, when the Turtles and Casey are vigilantes yet he doesn't have a problem with that. And it's not like Raph's vigilante ego was unusually cruel to criminals, like killing them or something. If so, I might understand why Leo would be pissed but there's no reason for him to dislike this vigilante.
He was arrogant stating that he was overall better than Raph, when he's supposed to be more humble. He even states that it's absurd for the Raph to go out in a costume fighting crime, when that's what the Turtles DID before and SHOULD have been doing instead of wasting time having jobs. This movie was a mess.

You both might be onto something here. I think Leo will appeal to anyone who has felt a great burden of responsibility growing up or anyone who has had to rely on their own resources.
Example: just a few months ago I was in Build a Bear Workshop with my Mum getting a Raphael plush and the chap who worked there was also a massive TMNT fan. We were chatting away and my mum was standing there impatiently. My mum has never cared about Turtles. In fact, she's been subjected to it by my sister and me for so many years that she's pretty much sick to death of it. The chap and I were discussing our favourite characters and he remarked "Nobody likes Leonardo because he can be a real prick." (Referencing 2k7). At which point my mum straightened, took a step forward and said angrily: "well it's tough being the eldest child!"
My mum is the eldest of three and had to take care of her sisters when they were growing up.
Even my mum, 65 year old hater of TMNT is a Leo fan.

I got the impression the jobs were just a way to keep themselves occupied since they were no longer a "team" (probably on Splinter's orders- he didn't seem to want them fighting until after Leo got back) more than anything. Basically, Don and Mike were just bored and needed something to do while Leo was gone, and it gave them a way to get what they needed, too.

Independence as well, but mostly relates towards adults (Leo interacts far more with Splinter than he would ever with Michelangelo). Even fighting Shredder, he has more dialog than any of the other brothers. I could even say first or only children could relate to Karai even more since she always around older mutants or Shredder. Leo and Karai also carry the burden of their surrogate parents' expectations, a trait usually found in first born or only children.

Proactive's right though, you're totally held to a higher standard when you're the eldest - you're expected to shoulder more responsibility and don't get cut nearly as much slack. I really feel the need to chime in on Nick's version of Mikey despite the thread being ignored for a bit.
Without Mikey, the Turtles would fail to storm Dimension X to save Leatherhead, prepare for the Invasion, and rescue the citizens of NY. If it weren't for Mikey, Raph would have had a major meltdown in the Invasion and would do who knows what in the end. If it weren't for Mikey in Parasitca, all four of them would have been possessed and killed by the wasps.
The biggest example I know of is Wrath of Tiger Claw, he did not one, but TWO smart things in that episode. He had a strange idea for looking for Casey with Raph despite being said intelligently and it was him who helped set up the battle with Tiger Claw in the meat area. I get Mikey is an unintelligent doofus in the Nick show, but it should be acknowledged that whenever he does a smart thing, it really works. The problem is him going two steps back every step forward. That's my two cents.
Anyways, least favorite Turtles barring the PD movie:
Leo: The FW cartoon (a very bland character who didn't even come off as leader at times. If Leo had been more popular like Raph and Mikey, he wouldn't be downplayed but still had some good moments)
Raph: Nick (I really like this Raph, but his characterization is one of the worst I've ever seen in TMNT lore. Sometimes it's all over the place. Really needs improvement, but a very weak Raphael version.)
Donnie: I honestly don't hate any of the Donatellos strangely.
Mikey: Nick (despite my defense, his characterization still makes him a weak character with the negative traits)

Least Favorite Overall: Turtles Forever versions of OT. Even though I massively hate iteration crossovers, Nick's actually made the OT Turtles look awesome.
Nick April: Don't mind her, but hate the Mary Sue powers. They could have just made her heavily intuitive and empathic, allowing her to help the Turtles but not risk looking more powerful then them.
PD Splinter: Would have preferred that he was human prior to mutation. An idea for this could have been that the Turtles were still supposed to be 'created heroes,' but Hamato Yoshi could have been hired to train them (and Shredder exposes him to mutagen.)
FW Bebop and Rocksteady: I like these two, but there is a point where they start acting almost too dumb to live. Plus the writers started to forget they had been human, and made them have the confusing error of 'remembering' being animals in a zoo.

Leo: 2k3 (Obnoxious egoist twat)
Donatello: 2k3 (literally a doormat that his brothers can walk all over everytime. Zero personality.)
Michelangelo: 2k3 (annoying battlenexus bragging, constant must make lame jokes)
Raph: 2k3 (his voice sounds like a 50 year old chainsmoker instead of a teen)
Splinter: 2k3 (he talks so slow, too soft, his origin sucks - rat copying his master? Lame and dumb.)
April: 2k12 (bipolar personality. Sometimes she's into Donnie, then Casey)
Casey: 2k3 (obnoxious moronic dirtbag)
Shredder: 2k3 (disgusting blob brain. Not Oroku Saki aka human)
Splinter: 2k3 (he talks so slow, too soft, his origin sucks - rat copying his master? Lame and dumb.)
Dude, do you realize in the 2k3 toon, the Mirage Comics, and the 1990 movies Splinter is like this?

Hmm...this is at least somewhat difficult but not really I guess. I will start out by saying that I've enjoyed ALL incarnations of the franchise(except for a few that I haven't seen yet). True, it's been about 15 years or so since I've seen Next Mutation so I really need to check that out again.
Leonardo: Next Mutation
Michelangelo: 2007 movie
Donatello: Next Mutation
Raphael: Next Mutation
Splinter: Bayturtles(his origin really doesn't make any sense at all in this incarnation. Neither how he was able to become a Ninja master from just reading a book. I like him fine though)
April: Nick(I don't hate her really and her being a teenager doesn't bother me. But she is pretty irritating a lot of the time)
Casey: FW(now don't get me wrong, I do find the character funny...in a creepy kind of way, but still not much to him).
Shredder: 1990 movie/Secret of the Ooze(I tried to place Bayturtles Shredder here but I really can't. That one is at least somewhat of a badass. The original movie Shredder is just pathetic).
Karai: Bayturtles(not really a character at all for someone who had a decent amount of screen time at least compared to Shredder).
Krang: 4Kids(yes, the character is in the show. VERY briefly mind you but...yeah there really wasn't anything to him. Other than that I'd probably have to say Nick's Krang Prime)
Leatherhead: FW
Slash: FW(quite an easy choice. EVERY other incarnation of his character, including IDW, Archie, and especially Nick blows the FW character out of the water)
Baxter: Mirage(not in it much at all and can't sympathize with his character at all really)
Bebop & Rocksteady: IDW(don't get me wrong, I do enjoy what I've read of them but so far I like them better in FW and Nick)
Rat King: Nick
Vernon: FW(yeah, I know that he's only been in 2 incarnations of the franchise...I think, but I have to say it. Both my wife and I enjoyed his character in Bayturtles a LOT more than in the FW series)

So far I haven't come across a version of Karai I've disliked so here's the rest...
Leonardo: Fred Wolf
Raphael: Fred Wolf
Michelangelo: Nick
Donatello: Nick
Splinter: Nick
April: Fred Wolf
Casey: Fred Wolf
Shredder: Next Mutation
Baxter Stockman: Fred Wolf
Rocksteady & Bebop: Fred Wolf
Leatherhead: Fred Wolf

03 Leo is an egotistical person? I believe the 2007 version of Leo was the worst. I'm not sure why people bring up next mutation or the 2014 version. 2007 Leo was a hypocrite, arrogant and didn't lead very well. That was by far the worst version of Leo I ever saw to me.

Doesn't mean it's good anyway. OT, 2k12 and IDW origins are way better.03 Leo is an egotstal person? I believe the 2007 version of Leo was the worst. You have a point. Both Leos think they're "so much better" than the others. Both ties for me then.

Platinum Dunes, meaning the new movie. That's the name of the company responsible for it.

I like how "responsible for it" sounds like you're referring to a crime. Because... y'know. :tlol:

[QUOTE=GoldMutant;1478433]Donnie: I honestly don't hate any of the Donatellos strangely.
Donnie is adorable and not a doormat like some reviewer said.

I've not seen the PD movie (talking with my wallet on that one), and while I know I've seen a little bit of Next Mutation I cannot for the life of me remember much about it at all. So with those aside, I guess my least favourite version of the Turtles would be the Image stuff. My least favourite Spinter is probably the 2k3 series, April the 2k7 movie version, and Shredder I guess the original movies.
But I do feel the need to stress that 'least favourite' doesn't necessarily equate to 'bad', just that I prefer the other versions.

I want to say "We Wish You a Turtle's Christmas" and "Turtle Tunes" but that goes without saying.
So, I'd go with the both the Next Mutation and PD versions.

Leonardo - 1987. I agree with the posters who said he was whiney and lacked development. He was just awkward.
Donatello - Maybe 2012. But it's a tough call. 2012 only for the fact he is like a lovesick moron most of the time these days.
Michelangelo - 2014. When he took his mask off, I was revolted. Enough said.
Raphael - 2003. That voice.
Splinter - 1990. I just don't like the look of him, and the, "I made a funny!" [insert false laughter] makes me cringe.
April - 2014.
Casey - 1987. Every time I go in Target there is some dumb Hulk display that cries out, "Hulk, SMASH!" whenever you walk past it. This was 1987 Casey.
Shredder - 2014.
Krang - Possibly 2012, but only because I like all the versions, and I can't decide!
