The heat sucks, but I really hate how humid it is. Gives me headaces. :x

I didn't know Hatersville was in Norway.

Yeah, I'm a bigger fan of the cold than the heat. I just shut down and wanna die when it's hot, but the cold is kind of invigorating and gives me energy. Thank God for A.C.

After how bad last winter was I welcome the heat. Walking around in 10 degree weather is not fun. At least with the heat you can take a water bottle with you and hurry into the shade.

Yeah, it's a small spot where online haters are stacked together, our neighbor town is Tusse-Town. Internet trolls lives there. :P

I hate sweating, so yeah, the heat sucks imo.

It's the middle of winter over here right now, so I'm currently feeling no pain.

Australian summer is the absolute sh*ts though. Any wonder that we're all half-insane: Xmas falls smack in the middle of summer, and we're sending cards with pictures of snow on them while it's sweltering outside. It's sick, I tell you.

Not very hot here. Hasn't even reached 30ºC. It was hotter a few of weeks ago.

Is it true that you can actually see the heat waves or whatever there?

Another thing I hate about the heat: when I'm wearing a tank top, or my back is exposed, and I lean against something and the sweat makes me stick. >n<

The summertime sucks where I'm at. So far we have been in the 80 to low 90 degree range, but the humidity only magnifies the uncomfortable outdoor temps. Not looking forward to the next few months since we're more than likely to see those triple digit temperatures come in.

Otherwise, I'm happy that my semi new air conditioner still works. (My old model didn't work as well.)

Yeah, the heat can suck at times. Wasn't too bad yesterday even though it was in the eighties. But I hate both the cold and the heat, so there you go.

Yeah, I'm no good at all in either extreme. After working outside for 10 years I get nauseous if I'm in the heat for too long, so I try and stay near the air conditioner. I like it around 85 with low humidity. Sometimes I have to go out for an hour or so and do marketing stuff for work, but when I get back I always feel kind of sick and soaked with sweat. I'm really glad I don't work outside anymore.

I'd rather be warm than cold, but I also like to be in control of my surroundings.

Agree 100%. You're in Texas too, right? Sweet mother, but I've been sweating like a hooker on 2$ night the past couple of weeks. I really miss all that rain, now, LOL! I've been trying to keep to the shade as much as possible on my route to work, and my "summer tan" is coming in nicely already, since I walk almost every day, and get the sun both coming AND going. (I've started wearing shorts and changing when I get there, so I don't pass out from wearing frigging black slacks in 90+ degree heat....)

You are very colorful :tgrin:

Believe it or not I been thinking about you a lot these past few weeks, because it's been "NJ hot" a few times (mid/upper-90s) with awful humidity, and whenever I'm outside I can't help but think how much worse it is where you are and how you have to walk to and from work. :ohwell:

I just now described it to my wife, who's like, "That's not THAT bad," and I'm like "Ah shaddap." Some people have zero perspective on things.

Aw, thanks for thinkin' of me, Leo! It's not usually too bad, I'm usually either in early enough before the real heat of the day, or later in the afternoon when it starts to cool down (or at least there's more shade). Mostly, I just make sure I have a water bottle with me, and leave a bit earlier than I do the rest of the year so I can have some time to cool down when I get there.

As an example, it was low/mid-90's here today, BUUUT- I left the house at just after 11 (takes about 30 minutes) and got there with about 20 minutes to spare before I had to change and clock in. And that's a nearly two mile walk, mind, so I'm going at a pretty good pace for as hot as it gets here. Problem is, the humidity her makes it feel more like 98-99!

I grew up in the heat so I've learned to deal with it. Definitely prefer hot over cold. And with the jobs I have, I'm outside sweating all day long & drinking water from a hose...and don't mind it. My skin is shiny by the time I get home.

Where I live, it's been more humid than hot...

Where I am, it's humid AND hot. :tlol: Every single day. Not particularly good for jogging/running, but that's what mornings are for.

It was hot yesterday when Mom and I went grocery shopping and it was hazy out, too. Was in the eighties. Now we're getting rain and it's supposed to be cooler.

It was cool here today and has been for a few days, which has been weird as it's normally not that cool during this time of year.

37C = 98.6F. Body temperature.

Btw you can actually type in "37C in F" into Google, and it'll convert for you ;)

The highest ever recorded temperature in the UK is "only" 101F...

MsMarvelDuckie
07-11-2015, 01:11 AM
Yeah I just didnt have time to convert it at the time, since I was about to go on duty. So it's about what ours is right now- interesting. Your highest is only 101? Our highest recorded ever is 120F! This happened three seperate times and places....

Mayhem
07-11-2015, 06:48 AM
120F? That's hotter than Vegas then. The record in Vegas is 119F I believe. I was there one time when it hit 118F, so very close to the record.

And yes, the highest recorded temperature in the UK is 101F, and that only happened back in 2003. Most of the time we get to the low mid 90s, and only for a week or two at a stretch. High 80s is the usual.
