finishing up the pilot series today.. and was curious.. episodes 1,2,3,4, all took place mainly at night.. why did episode 5 have a mid afternoon feel? i enjoy watching episodes 1,2,3,4 more at night because they take place at night.. feels like more of an edge takes place

i wonder why the final and most important episode of the pilot series takes place during the day.. also wish they could have had a better fight with raph and shredder instead of just the quick "snap it up donatello" and poof hes done fighting him in 2 seconds of animation

can someone stop this guy from posting topics. All he does is post really pointless topics. Think he needs help.

And here I thought Cubed was just gonna pop in and say his catchphrase. Instead he's replying with snarky cat pics. Way to swerve us, Russo.

Best Technodrome Conspiracy Theory ever. :tlol:

I'm inscribing it on an aluminum foil tablet and hanging it next to my "Shark_Blade and TrickOrTreater are the same person" tablet...

If THAT one were true, it'd be the greatest and most epic argument one person ever had with themselves, aside from the time Roddy Piper interviewed himself on Piper's Pit back in '85.

Does everything always have to be a reference to pro wrestling? JK.

Leave the conspiracy theories within the Cult if you know what I mean.

All this talk of conspiracy theories got me thinking of SuperGoku.

You do realize Nash was just Hogan 's muscle, right? Hogan made Nash into the force he was.:P

SuperGoku was a man of a thousand Oracle masks who all had the same personality and low tolerance. I knew him as Toonami Tom.

I think a "High Noon" feel was perfect for a showdown between Splinter & Shredder.

Um...episode two took most of the time in the day...

You know, he's not that difficult to understand guys... instead of making fun why not attempt to be polite?

Personally I don't see how it matters if it took place at day or night. It was still cool, but I do agree the fight with raph and shredder didn't last long and shredder was barely able to hold his own, when in The Incredible Shrinking Turtles, he took down all 4 rather easily.

Where's the fun in that?

Why... I dunno. I guess when you're fighting crime 'n stuff it doesn't always happen by your preferred schedule.

"Hey, bad guys, can we meet back here at, say, 8pm-ish?" Yeah, not gonna work.

It probably took place in the middle of the day for a couple reasons:

1) A giant Krang smashing stuff up in the middle of the day seems more epic.

2) The Turtles had resigned to the fact that April would have to tell the world about them, so there was no use in hiding anymore.

Also, about Raph vs Shredder, that fight wouldn't have been a good representation of an actual battle had it actually had more animation. The Turtles were using Ninja-style guerrilla tactics. The aggressive attack was just a distraction while Donatello accomplished the real task of getting rid of the Technodrome all at once.

The OT lost its dark edge way before episode 5.

I honestly would have preferred the miniseries in the Red Sky style.

There is no fun in being mean. Not exactly the best way to welcome members so let's just stop now.

Nah man. The red sky background makes me want to puke.

I must look that up! Piper is still one of my fav old-school wrestlers because he was so darn nuts! Youtube here I come!

Good luck, I have a feeling WWE probably scrubbed that from YouTube like they do with most things. I, however, own a copy of "Rowdy Roddy Piper's Greatest Hits" on VHS so I'll forever be set. :tgrin:

I'm sure it's as entertaining as his black/white thing for Wrestlemania VI. lol

Or that time he called Bruno Sammartino a "dumb Wop" in Madison Square Garden. See, back in the 80s, wrestlers used good old-fashioned Family Style racism that the whole family could enjoy.

Hogan just forgot that you can only be racist in front of tens of thousands of people so that everyone knows you're Just Kidding. :trazz:

I don't think either of them really hates anyone. They're just kind of stupid when they think nobody's paying attention or they think they can get away with it. Ah well.
