Krang hypnotized one of Dregg's henchman but I have to ask, how come his hypnotizing powers were never brought up until the last season? I'm assuming that maybe he couldn't do it to anyone else because he said that Dregg's henchman have "limited brain power"? So, does this mean he can only hypnotize stupid people? Could he theoretically hypnotize someone like the Hulk?
Just wondering.

this actually made me laugh, it really seems that he only can control extremely dumb people. Personally i think they just invented this in the last minute for Krang to have this ability, it was not planned but fitted good in the plot so they used it.

I guess he can do it to dumb people which is why he couldn't do it to anyone else, like the Turtles or Splinter. Maybe they have to be dumber than Bebop and Rocksteady as if they weren't morons enough to begin with. lol
I do happen to make lots of threads with Krang. Mostly because there's so many questions about Krang, whether it's his abilities, how he's able to move his bubble walker, ect. That and I always felt he should have been a legitimate threat. I mean like a SERIOUS threat to the Turtles and always wanted him to be a badass when it comes to fighting, making plans, ect. Plus I wanted to make a crossover story featuring Krang as the main villain so that might have something to do with it. xD

So if Krang had the power to control extremely dumb people, why didn't he just make it so that Bebop and Rocksteady wouldn't deviate from his orders?

I agree that there are a lot of unanswered questions about Krang. He's actually quite a mysterious character, as we don't really learn much about him over the course of the series. Dregg commented once that there was a wealth of evil in Krang's memories which gave him an idea on how to conquer the Earth and Galaxy in A Turtle in Time. Krang could've been a serious threat to the Turtles, but he didn't seem interested in fighting them most of the time. He didn't share Shredder's obsession with the turtles.

I thought of it as the Jedi Mind Trick. It just seemed thrown in to further the plot the tmway the writer needed it to go. If Krang had such a power instead of a plot device for his last storyline we would have had more auccesses in his and Shredder's pkots especially keeping Bebop and Rocksteady from fouling up. It might have been overused knowing how these two devolved between Invasion of The Punk Frogs through Shredder Triumphant.

I guess he couldn't control Bebop and Rocksteady directly because they weren't dumb enough. There's dumb and then there's really dumb. Bebop and Rocksteady are more intelligent than say, the Hulk for example, since they can make clear sentences for example. I'm not sure how dumb one has to be for Krang to hypnotize them, but I always thought he should have made a device to dumb down everyone so he could control them effectively. If he could control Bebop and Rocksteady, they probably wouldn't have screwed up as much. xD
He is a mysterious character. Not knowing exactly how he looked, his relationships with Beserko and Shreeka, how he met Shredder, ect. He wasn't obsessed with the Turtles like Shredder, as he focused on priorities, like ruling the Earth. Still I felt he could have been a legitimate threat. Maybe more so in the Red Sky seasons, if he had his android body, since Shredder became more competent, Krang would be a more competent fighter as well.
I sometimes wonder why Krang didn't usually get involved in fighting. I always thought he was just lazy, as it seems the more powerful the villain is, the less likely they are to fight directly, as he seemed to just bark orders at everyone and only got involved in fighting as a last resort, or if he was just tired of his minions screwing up over and over.

I assume that Krang doesn't necessarily have a hypnotizing "power", the batmen were just easy targets.

He didn't convince the batmen to work for him, he took over his mind, so he does have hypnotizing power. Batmen weren't smart so I'm assuming he can only hypnotize stupid people.

I'd say Krang can only hypnotise really dumb people. Bebop and Rocksteady were stupid, but there were times when they were shown to be smarter than they actually were in episodes like Shreeka's Revenge.

What I was trying to say is that I don't think he has the power to hypnotize more than any other hypnotist.

Bebop and Rocksteady did have a few moments where they seemed intelligent, like in Shreeka's Revenge. I guess they weren't dumb enough for Krang to hypnotize or he didn't felt it was necessary. I assume the people he can hypnotize people who can range from animalistic to a person who can talk but is unable to make clear sentences. Much like the Hulk from Marvel. He did say it was easy to hypnotize the Batmen so really the dumber they are, the easier they are to hypnotize.
It's strange he never used it up until now, but I guess there weren't too many people he could have hypnotized. He also had a time limit as they can only be hypnotized for 30 minutes before it wore off, so I guess there wasn't much he could have done with his hypnotizing powers.
I always thought that since Krang is into modifications, he perhaps could have made it so that his hypnotizing power was modified and amplified and could hypnotize most people. Except maybe for the really smart ones like Don. I think it would have made a decent episode where he hypnotizes most of the people but his modifications can only go so far and only Donatello can stop him due to his high intelligence.

There was a story made for an old UK tmnt comic from the 90s, in which Krang hypnotised the Turtles one by one as a way of capturing them.

The batmen were pretty much mindless irrational creatures that could follow anyone easily. As dumb as Bebop and Rocksteady were, they still had brains and didn't lack free will.

It makes me wonder how his powers work, which is speculation really. He said it was easy to hypnotize the Batmen so I wonder who else he could hypnotize. Not Rocksteady or Bebop. Either because they are smart enough not to be hypnotized or Krang didn't feel it was necessary since both of them worked for him. They weren't really rebellious, just clumsy oafs.

I know April tricked one before but following is different. I don't think they could follow anyone easily. If they could, he wouldn't have hypnotized one.

I mean, OT Krang and his android body interests me too, but did we really need two separate threads about his body armor?

Didn't know there was a specific limit on how much one can talk about Krang. Besides I talked about his armor but asked different questions of it, and not all of those threads were just about Krang, but also involved Shredder.
