http://plairdblog.blogspot.com/

Not only in his TMNT section dead, but even his personal section only has like 6-7 posts the entire year. He used to be very active.

I haven't updated any of my personal blogs since November of 2013. Sometimes one just isn't in the mood. Besides, the personal blog fascination is nowhere near as prevalent as it was back in the golden age of the mid-to-late 00s. Social media tweets and selfies rule the interwebs these days.

Probably just got bored of it. It happens, people aren't robots (usually).

That is actually what happened to me. I checked it every other day from late 2009 through 2011. Now, I check it every other month. It happens. Pete probably fell into something like that. Hopefully he will gear back up on it sooner than later.

He doesn't have a twitter, at least as far as I know, so its not like he's blogging on a social media site either.

Shame, I enjoyed seeing updates on his life.

It's not like he's in any way obligated. He doesn't strike me as much of a "sharer", and I imagine every bit of posting, blogging, and conversing with fans he's done over the years has been solely for the benefit of the fans, not himself.

At this point, he's told every single story and answered every single question about TMNT anyone will ever have, and it's all already been documented. What's left for him to say? He's done with TMNT and apparently not thrilled with the current representations of it, so I imagine he'd rather not have to acknowledge the property if he doesn't have to. He's done with it.

Guy'd rather be out doing stuff with his life than typing about it, and he's well aware that the mundane, non-TMNT areas of his life have zero interest to the fans. More power to him. I mean I'm just speculating, but I'm probably right. I wouldn't sweat it.

I got the impression he has literally run out of turtle topics. The last few posts felt like a goodbye of sorts...

His other blog had such little traffic, I'm not surprised he's been absent.
He's getting on too, so there's always the chance he might be Ill....

I hope he's okay, and he does another Ask PL soon - those are amazing reads.

I just want him to finish Volume 4 or pass his notes on to a worthy successor, dammit. At least post his outlines on the blog so we can have some frakking closure.

Jim Lawson flat out says that's his vision alone of what he would do with Volume 4, its not canon nor is it PL's ending.

It's canon enough for me, man (though I'd still like to know how Donatello got restored to his proper height). Lets allow Mr. Laird to move on with his life. The Ninja Turtles are behind him and that's that!

Well if PL allows Jim Lawson to take his ideas and finish the comic on his own and its printed, then yes, its canon. I'm kinda wondering why PL doesn't just let Lawson finish it then if he's never going to do it himself. Lawson drew the whole volume and is practically the most trusted person to finish Volume 4.
