This thread shows everything that is wrong about people's attitude towards this movie. On one hand you have the posters who praise this movie like it's amazing and troll others hard for having a different opinion, I still remember because I was defending the movie after it came out in a post or two I got invited to a "secret group" where all they did was talk bad about other posters who are regulars here and I like so whatever. On the other hand everyone else stinks up all the threads about this movie with how much it sucks, you can share your opinion in threads about your take on their movie but don't stink up every thread with the same crap, it's boring it's interesting to actually discuss what could happen in the movie.

For me the movie is decent, it has plenty of flaws but I think it's salvagable, I liked the turtles interactions with each other even if the rest of the movie was rather iffy. Let's see if the second movie can make it or break it. But no this or any movie doesn't deserve a 1 year anniversary thread, wait for 10 years.

I know this film was not a lot of people's cup of tea, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The personalities of the turtles were right on the money. Will Arnett also made a great Vern. Plus, battle between Shredder and the Turtles and the snow chase scene were both action-packed. I am really looking forward to the sequel.

Took the words right out of my mouth but not from the same perspective, because it really really really goes both ways. Some supporters have previously acted like this is TMNT Jesus and nearly pray for a turtle smiting upon those who don't share their acceptance.

For a long time there, esp via the film's FB page, I saw MANY supporters of it making posts basically baiting people who didn't agree with their love of it. Replies I can understand (goodness knows humanity can't not resist having a catty comeback), but I saw numerous non-reply unprovoked comments that seemed to just be there to provoke other people; and from either side, there's no need for that.

Well, TMNT is like a religion to us, and when people who have been given the honor to try and make a movie out of it act like they have no respect for the franchise or no idea what they're doing with said franchise, we tend to get pretty passionate about it. I'm the type who wants the Turtles treated with respect, and Michael Bay has not done that. I'll stick with the Nick show, thank you very much. Yes, that show has some flaws, but for the most part, they treat the franchise with respect and know what the fans want and respect what came before, and that's what I want when someone handles TMNT.
