Time travel question

This was just a thing I had in my mind for a while. The Turtles encountered some time traveling characters in the Red Sky seasons. Krakus who's from 70 years in the future while Landor and Merrick is from 20 years into the future. Landor and Merrick come from the future where Dregg rules but Krakus is from a future where Titanus is the main threat and mutants were the main problem, not aliens. Krakus is from even further into the future, yet shouldn't he still live in a future ruled by Dregg? He never once mentioned Dregg, although to be fair, he was from Season 8 and Lord Dregg as a character wasn't even created.

I thought maybe Krakus led a revolt that beat back Dregg or perhaps Titanus and his mutant hordes defeated Dregg and took over as the main villain.

I remember Krakus saying April will become famous and I thought of one way of how she'd be famous. By exposing Lord Dregg. Wouldn't that make a reporter very famous for getting a story exposing someone who was considered to be the savior of the entire world, as a fraud?Wouldn't that make someone very famous?

So does anyone have theories or ideas of why it's like this? I was wondering if any could discuss it because it's been confusing me.

You're probably overthinking it. I never took much notice of the different futures in the OT, but I'd say Krakus never mentioned Dregg because he might have had no knowledge of him. Alternatively, I figure Dregg was defeated by the Turtles a long time ago before Krakus' time and Krakus might have been more concerned about the threat of Titanus.

Krakus could've been used again instead of Landor and Merrick. I think Krakus wasn't in a future ruled by Dregg, as the Turtles prevented that future from happening in Carter, the Enforcer.

I thought April would have become famous by saving Krakus' grandfather's life, but I agree that she could also have become famous by exposing Dregg.

When it comes to time traveling, a lot can change and be different depending on how often time travel occurs and how often people mess with time.

In Carter The Enforcer, Dregg took over earth only because Landore and Merrick had them time travel. It made everyone think the turtles were destroyed and that resulted in Dregg conquering earth. Once the turtles went back to the present, they stopped Dregg and that future didn't happen after all.

There's also the episode One Upon A Time Machine which proves the turtles are still alive in 2036 even though they were apparently destroyed in Carter The Enforcer (someone may have messed with time off screen). Sure the turtles were in bad shape physically in 2036 but they were still alive. Because the present turtles time traveled to 2036 and saw for themselves their future, they exercised so they would end up being healthy in 2036 and therefore, that changes the future.

Time traveling can also destroy you (watch A Turtle In Time and Turtles To The Second Power). Landore and Merrick warned Carter that will happen to the turtles if the turtles don't go back to their normal time in 24 hours. Also they time traveled to Turtle Trek but that scene wasn't shown in the actual episode Turtle Trek therefore time travel caused time to change.

I am confused though. Dregg's future happened before Merrick and Landor traveled in time. They already explained that it happened because Carter killed them which is why the future sucked and that they had to travel back in time to save them. Although since they took them out of their time, the dark future happened anyway because they weren't around to stop Dregg.

shouldn't the dark future still exist as long as Dregg is still around? You would think Krakus would have mentioned Dregg, but Dregg in that time was either defeated by Krakus and the humans or by Titanus. Titanus was a pretty big threat as Krakus said he nearly took over the entire world with his mutants.

I'd figure the dark future would still exist because Merrick and Landor come back in the 10th season and they never mention that Dregg is defeated in their time.

I don't think the dark future still exists. When Landor and Merrick came back in season ten, I assumed that they were now from a good future where Dregg didn't take over the Earth and was defeated a long time ago by the Turtles.

Krakus was supposed to be in this episode rather than Landor and Merrick so I don't know why that changed. It was supposed to be like Shredderville only real; and all five of them were teleported, not just the Turtles. Unfortunately, the proof is long gone but I do remember reading it.

Landor and Merrick were freedom fighters and they were guardians of the Turtles should anything go wrong. I imagine they also had something to do with the Demutation Ray etc. Dregg was too strong by the time they were old enough to fight so I guess now they just maintain the peace now. If it hadn't been for the Turtles, their future wouldn't have been possible.

I didn't see Season 8 or 9 until after 10 on TV so I didn't know about Krakus's connection to Titanus until afterwards.

Krakus, being a future cop, probably went back to convince the Turtles to keep fighting, thus keeping with the Raphael subplot of giving up, In any case, Krakus is no longer canon. I don't have the proof to back it up.

I thought Krakus was from 2036, but I haven't seen the episode "Enter: Krakus" in years, so you're probably right. Krakus is actually quite a mysterious character, as we don't learn much about him.

I doubt Titanus and Dregg ever met. I figure Dregg was defeated for good by the Turtles in Divide and Conquer. I heard an explosion sound as well. I assumed that he was killed at the moment. I think there was no chance of Titanus coming back.
