In the last episode of Season 1, Krang flat out says that he's Shredder's master now and that he will do his bidding from now on. Shredder refuses to take orders and it kind of looked like they were about to fight.

Then in the first episode of Season 2, you see Shredder wanting Krang to send him back to Earth? Was that whole fight thing a retcon and didn't really happen? If it wasn't a retcon, who won that fight? It kind of implies Krang did, since he seemed to be calling the shots and telling Shredder what to do all the time. But it would have been nice to see how the fight turned out. It could have gone either way really.

I imagine that after a brief bit of shouting, they mutually collapsed into each others' arms, in a warm, comforting embrace, sobbing into each other's shoulders about those blasted Turtles, and how they were to blame. Then they stayed up all night sharing a box of wine, listening to country music, and reminiscing about their high school glory days, when Krang was captain of the football team and Shredder nailed the Prom Queen in the bathroom stall. Bebop and Rocksteady came in around 4am to find them awkwardly entangled on the floor, snoring like baby bears, and gently covered them with a warm blanket before turning out the lights.

In my heart, I know that's what really happened.

It looks to me like something that went on for quite a while. Krang seemed to have had the last word for several weeks until he finally got sick of Shredder pestering about it in the end.

A most interesting theory! xD

It does seem strange doesn't it? It looks like they were about to fight and all of a sudden they act like nothing happened. In the first season Shredder seemed to be the boss while in season 2, Krang seemed to call all the shots and boss Shredder around and then later on in the seasons, they seem to consider each other like equals in many ways, acting more like allies instead of having a master/slave relationship. So it was kind of hard to tell who was really the main villain of the series but some say both were and neither was really more superior than the other.

But I would have liked to have seen how the fight went. Most would probably say Krang since Shredder was practically begging to be sent back to Earth and followed Krang and his orders afterwards. Then again he didn't have much of a way of defecting against Krang since Krang kind of handicapped Shredder by taking away all his weapons and foot soldiers.

I can only dream that such a scene that you described so wonderfully actually did happen Leo.

I truly can.

I'm going to have to say that the studio animators wuss out on us and didn't give us the Control Room brawl scene that only those two idiots could have provided as a form of entertainment for us all.

That never animated scene could have been epic..

Well it's like Krang said, in Dimension X he's the master. I mean what was Shredder going to do, take on Krang (whose body was by Shredder's own admission, a force that was beyond his ability to stop) as well as an army of rock soldiers? Would kinda make for an interesting fight though: Krang and the rock soldiers against Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady, and the robotic foot soldiers.

Shredder did have his foot soldiers and two mutants but Krang has the home advantage since Shredder's in Dimension X, has more soldiers and the fact that the Rock Soldiers are much tougher and more durable than Foot Soldiers so he was outnumbered and outclassed.

But as the fight, It's possible Shredder could defeat Krang. Krang is physically more powerful, more intelligent and has more abilities so he has the advantage, but Krang isn't as experienced as Shredder when it comes to fighting and isn't as tricky as Shredder is more cunning. The Turtles could defeat Krang and even Shredder has demonstrated to defeat the Turtles on more than one occasion even in physical combat. So the fight could go either way even though I personally think Krang would win. Even without his microchip that makes him grow.

It does seem however Krang would win, especially with his army. The 1st season had the best animation and I think it would have been epic to see an actual fight between those 2. But really this conflict would have been over in a manner of seconds if Shredder thought ahead. He made the android body on Krang's design, but Shredder could have sneaked in a little microchip that would allow him to control the android body, via remote control so he could prevent Krang from betraying him. You'd think he'd do that especially since he didn't trust Krang in the beginning.

It's a wonder they don't just hire ME to write their cartoons and funnybooks, eh? :trazz:

I want you to do for TMNT what Robot Chicken has done for Star Wars.

The reason Shredder acted like the boss in Season 1 was because Krang didn't have an android body. When Krang got what he wanted at the end of the season he showed his true colours and took total control of the whole place because it's only then he had more power.

I don't know why Shredder thought that Krang's android body would be too much for him. The logical assumption would be that he would think that the android body, when in its expanded molecule form, would be too much for him. However Shredder wasn't even aware that it was going to have a molecular amplification chip.

Shredder knew he couldn't take on a bald baby in red briefs with a brain in its stomach. Just too much for poor ol' Shredhead.

As far as physical power, Krang outclasses Shredder. The body can toss people and objects way up in the air, can total cars and metal and it's hands could shapeshift into nearly anything Krang wanted. Not to mention Krang is quite a bit smarter than Shredder as well so it's fair to assume that he didn't want to take any chances. In Season 1 it went like this.

Krang: In Dimension X, I am absolute master. You will do my bidding from now on.
Shredder: The Shredder takes orders from no one!
Krang: We shall see, Oroku Saki!

Then in the next episode
Shredder: Krang I implore you, send me back!

I guess that kind of implies Krang won the little scuffle. Either that or it was a retcon and it never happened. xD
