In Return of the Technodrome, I remember Splinter saying that he sensed Shredder approaching. But then after that, Shredder says he sensed that his old enemy Splinter is approaching, too.
When did Shredder become psychic? Was he always like this? Has he displayed psychic powers before, like Splinter has? Or did it happen this one time? We know Splinter is known for sensing stuff but I have never seen Shredder display psychic senses until I saw that episode.

Guess it's a Foot Clan trait.

People who are highly trained in martial arts usually get there by starting with their head. "Ninja not just of the body, but of the mind." Ancient intuition. :trazz:

I wonder if the writer had recently watched Star Wars?

Sensing someone's presence is a common martial arts sensei trope, so of course Ninjas got that ability.

Even Leonardo had that ninja intuition in the same episode when the blackout started. He sensed Krang and Shredder. It may have simply been played for laughs but it's possible it happened with him.

That's like an old cliché. Plus, it seemed like a Star Wars parody since I'm pretty sure their face off in that episode was based on it. Mind you that I haven't watched a Star Wars movie in literally over a decade.
As a kid, I really liked it because I feel like it added some tension in the air.

Of course he's physic. He foresaw Nickelodeon, and their infamous slimming ritual, purchasing the franchise years before it happened. So he decided in anticipation, to show his loyalty to his new future masters, he would slime Yoshi first. Look at how well that worked out for him...

Why haven't you watched a Star Wars movie in over a decade? You didn't even see the new one, Episode 7?

Oh my god, Becky. You can't just ask people why they haven't seen SW in a decade.

I'm sure I've told you this already but it's okay, I'll do it again.
Episode 1 was a let down and 2 was one of the most boring films I've ever seen... in fact I couldn't watch all the way through it and ejected the VHS tape 55 minutes or so in the movie. Star Wars was officially dead for me in that day. I was never a huge fan, anyway. I mostly liked the first movie(A New Hope, I think that's the name?). As for the extended universe, I do have KOTOR in my Steam profile because I was told it was pretty damn good, but haven't gotten around to play it yet. What do you think of that game? Now that I think of it, you've never owned the original Xbox, did you?

Becky? What is that a reference to?

No, "sensing" someone's presence or that they are still alive is a common thing in Asian fiction it's in tons of kungfu movies, anime, and manga stuff.

It's a 90's rap song by Sir Mix-A-Lot. It opens with a monolog by some "valley girl" type talking to her friend "Becky", about big-butted girlfriends of rap guys. Very funny. The "Oh my God, Becky" is the opening line of the monolog.

I forgot to say this, but...
I don't know about "psychic". but Nick Shredder is definitely "psycho". *dodges rotten food for the bad joke*It's a 90's rap song by Sir Mix-A-Lot. Even back then as an elementary-school student, I liked that song and thought that monologue was funny. "Oh my god. Becky, look at her butt." I actually did that song the last time I went to karaoke last month.

Always thought this was a Star Wars like homage... He could feel a disturbance in the "force"

Shredder and Krang bring the Technodrome back to Earth and Splinter and the turtles try to stop them? Who else would they sense? Not a big deal!
