since i've seen TMNT i always kinda wondered how Krang moves. I mean, apparently he's got to use some kinda machine or machine-like device to move. but did he have that chair-thingy from the first episodes since he was turned into a living slimeball? also how does he eat?

I'v never seen Krang eat, but he moved around on this little stool with wheels until he got Shredder to build him a body, which he stays in thru-out the rest of the episodes (I don't think he changes it, does he?)

Well, in "Turtles on trial" he gets inside this mech type machine for a while. Interestingly enough, after its destroyed you get to see him crawl on the ground, completely by himself for a bit before Shredder picks him up. Looks kind of funny actually.

They've shown Shredder eat pizza once in "Cowabunga Shredhead", but he had to take his mask off (which was kinda weird considering he thought he was Mike at the time).

Is that what it's called? I was actually referring to that thing that he stole from the army, you know, that machine that strongly resembled the evil robot from Robocop 1? He drove that thing pretty well.

There was an episode, actually, where Shredder ate. It makes me laugh because Shredder is dining with his metal mask still in place. What, does he just drop food behind his mask and catch it with his tongue? :lol:

The episode I'm referring to was from the third season, "The Turtle Terminator." Shredder is complaining about how he, the future Ruler of the World, has been reduced to eating Chinese take-out. Then Rocksteady asks him if he would please pass the soy sauce, spraying everything with food! :lol:

funny thing bout shredder's mask is that it's sometimes made of cotton )or something similar) and sometimes it's made of steel. i remember seeing him making a knot behind his head once when he put that mask on and blowing out a candle with his mask on.
Krang's acrually able to move on his own. Never thought that was possible. how did he do that?

My guess is that Krang kinda pulls himself forward using his tentacles. Although, his 'bottom side' could help him move sorta like a snake -expanding and contracting.

I suppose Krang has some muscle tissue in his body, but not a lot, just enough for him to wave his arms and crawl.

Come to think of it, if Shredder really wanted to, he could easily play "Puppet Theatre" with Krang. All he'd have to do is attach strings to his tentacles and body, and well...put on a memorable show.

I just realized the irony in your statement about Krang having muscle tissue in his "body"!

As for the puppet show thing, that's more like something I could see Rocksteady and Bebop trying to do. Although I don't think Shredder would disapprove.

So Rocksteady and Bebop prepare to take it to Shredder, who's guarding them using a 2-against-1 zone defense. Rocksteady goes to take a dribble, and all you hear is this sickening splat!

Shredder: "You moronic mutants! Brains don't bounce!!"

Not really, they showed him sitting in front of the table but he never eats anything. Although I just remembered you see him eating cheese and a small peice of pizza in Cowabunga Shredhead.

remeber Krang is an alien brain, not an utrom - meaning he is just a brain mass, no muscle tissue (unless his species is some kind of brain-muscle hybrid anomoly which I suppose is entirely possible).

In answer to the question, he eats his Wheaties every day and works out on his ExerTech aerobics machine every day. Like all alien brains, his movement is a combination of electric propulsion brain signals and telekinesis.

One of the inconsistencies with Krang's character was that sometimes he could move around on his own, and other times he could not.

He seemed pretty helpess riding around on his little scooter during the first season; and then in later seasons, he was able to get around rather easily without his android body.

That's exactly the kind of thing I was referring to in my previous post in this thread. In some episodes, Krang is mobile; in other episodes, however, the writers take his "legs" away.

The episode in question was the first one from the eighth season, "Get Shredder!" I, too, wondered why in the world Krang just sat there and let that heat ray melt him when he could have crawled away like I'd seen him do in numerous other episodes.

But yeah.. I think he uses his tentacles to get around. Kinda like how a starfish or an octupus out of water does.
