Man, you're going all over the place here! Ok, Slash and several mutant characters from the original show were in the Archie series and there was apparently afew cross-overs between Usagi and the TMNT from the original Mirage series.

Slash never appeared in the Mirage comics, only in the Archie TMNT series as well as its spinoff title, The Mighty Mutanimals.
Usagi never appeared in a regular issue of the Mirage TMNT. He and Leo met in a story by Stan Sakai in Turtle Soup (vol. 1, #1), and a backup story by Laird in Usagi Yojimbo (vol. 1, #10). All four of the Turtles visited Usagi's dimension in Usagi Yojimbo in a story arc entitled "Shades of Green" (vol. 2, #1-3).
I hope that helps. :)

actually Usagi was in another back-up (it's in Shell Shock if not elsewhere)
In the other one, Leo fell thru another space/time portal and met up w/Usagi, missing The Magnificent Sevem and getting his pizza trampled by Neko Ninja in the process.

Yes, you're right, impetus. If I remember correctly, the title of that story was The Treaty. (Or something like that.)
While on the subject, I'd really like to see Mr. Sakai do an Usagi/Leo mini-series, or at least a full-length one-shot.

That's an even better way to go. I've wanted to see Usagi & Co. in a movie for a long time now. Simply put, it would be awesome!

Thanks for the info guys! Usagi Yojimbo was always one of my favorite action figures as a kid, I regret never reading any of his comic exploits
I may just try and hunt down that Shades of Green story! what was the basic plot if you don't mind me asking?
also,
Besides the triceriton, fugitoid, leather head, and the rat king, who else appeared in the non Archie comics?

Hey, Eldor ... sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you with the info regarding the Shades of Green story arc. I pulled these synopses from usagiyojimbo.com:
Shades of Green: Part 1
In the first part three-issue story-line, Usagi and Gen narrowly escape the Neko Ninja by diving into the rapids. They wash up down in a secluded valley and meet the rat Kakera, who has summoned them to protect the village, which has been cut of by the Neko Ninja.
The Neko Ninja clan heads Chizu and Gunji are arguing over the mission as well as who should be leader. The Komori Ninja spy on them, but are caught, and war is declared between the two clans. Since Kakera failed to summon anymore samurai to him, he summons other help, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
(The manner in which Kakera summons them is pretty cool!)
Shades of Green: Part 2
In the second part three-issue story-line, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles agree to help Usagi and Gen protect Kakera. Their pact is overseen by the Neko Ninja. One spy returns to camp, trailed by Leonardo. That night, The Neko Ninja attack. Leonardo returns in time for the fight, but is wounded, and Kakera captured.
Shades of Green: Part 3
Gunji, confident in the success of the mission, believes he is now the heir to the Neko Ninja Leadership. Usagi, Gen and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, lead by Leonardo, sneak into the camp to break out Kakera, but end up fighting the Ninja clan instead. Usagi sneaks away following wagon tracks leading from the camp. At a river crossing, Gunji attempts to assassinate Chizu and ensure his position as leader of the Neko Ninja clan. Usagi arrives and takes care of the Ninja guards, while Chizu kills Gunji. She walks away with a kiss, leaving Kakera with Usagi. The TMNT are returned home, while Gen and Usagi go their separate ways.
Okay, here's an interesting tidbit of info regarding the character, Kakera, that some might consider to be a spoiler:

"Kakera" is a Japanese word that means "a fragment; a broken piece" ... in other words, a "splinter". Kakera is basically an incarnation of Splinter that lives in Usagi's universe.
Well, I hope that helps. :)
