Instead of trying to remember the specific names of all the Podcasts/YouTube channels etc curated by the fine folks of this board, maybe we could just put them all in one thread!
This thread!
Maybe we could sticky this?
Or maybe this is a stupid redundant idea.
I'll update a list here, to keep everything organazized.

I've been meaning to post this exact thing. I would love a good, well-produced TMNT podcast to listen to. List away!

Nobody here really cares about TMNT podcasts. We fill our quota of turtle talk on the forums. That aside, there are few, & most aren't any good.

Um, sure, but like, Oldmanwinters was doing a podcast; Andrew had one going...I think...
Pulling it all together, in one place, instead of spread out all over the board?

They do like one a year, & haven't in the last one at all. It'd be a waste to sticky a thread for that.

So is there another faction of the TMNT community? All I've ever known was this forum.

If by faction you mean a sizable amount of unified peers, eh, not really, no. There are some Facebook groups for casuals & stuff, as well as the rarely posted on TMNT-L forums, but this is the main hub for dedicated fans.

There's a group of younger TMNT fans on tumblr who watch the Nick cartoon, that's all I know of. A lot of young teenagers first exposure to TMNT was the Nick cartoon and this "younger generation" posts all about it on tumblr.
They're mostly females and anime fans as well as shippers, so be forewarned if you want to check them out.

This madhouse meets my quota for craziness. I'll stick to this place.
While we're on the subject, what's the best Facebook TMNT groups to follow? I don't think I have any on my feed, so I get most of my news from here.
I've been on this forum for going on 15 years. I should know these things.

I meant actual groups, where people make posts for one another to comment on, not "like" pages (& the former have all been horrible, in my experience. Just a bunch of casuals sharing pics of broken toys they found at their parents' house, their babies in Fred Wolf garb, people spouting inaccuracies as facts, bad fan art, Bay-praise, you name it) . As far as getting updates is concerned, honestly, you've no better place than this site. Pretty much everyone gets their stuff from here anyway. I'd vouch for Ninja Pizza & Go Green Machine as they're "locally run" but there's not much in the way of staying on top of things, beyond say the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles one.

Yeah, I got what you were saying, I've just also been curious about the social media side of things. The Ghostbusters fanbase has some really good social media groups and podcasts, but the main forum has really gone downhill for activity. I thought TMNT might have the equivalent.
Someone is probably leaving some sponsorship money on the table by not having a good, well-produced TMNT podcast!

Unfortunately, our fandom has a very small pocket of truly dedicated/insightful/obsessed/collector fans in comparison to many others, like Batman or Star Wars, for example. I kinda like it this way, myself, though I guess it can be frustrating at times, too. I have no recommendations on that front, 'cause like I said, I never took notice of any being even half decent, so none stick out in my mind. :tlol: The God I Love Being A Turtle page is a decent one if you like seeing good quality fan art each day, though!

I wonder if the TMNT fandom is small for a few reasons:
- Many hardcore/original Mirage fans are now 40-50 year old adults, especially the ones who were already teenagers or adults in the 80's. They're obviously now 30 years older.
- Many casuals of the Fred Wolf era never returned to the show or the fandom. They just vaguely remember the series from their childhood but don't experience anything else TMNT related or even watch the old show.
- Kids from the 4kids 2k3 era were smaller in number and likely moved on. I wonder how many of them follow the Nick show now
- Most kids/teens of the Nick cartoon era post on tumblr and their twitter accounts. Young kids of today don't use forums, tumblr and twitter is a thing.

I'm 43 and I grew up during the Fred Wolf era, I even read the TMNT Adventures archie comics in the 90s.

Doubt it's run by dromers, but I've recently been listening to the 'Too Much Ninja Turtles' podcast. A witty husband and wife (in New Zealand?) watch each episode of the original toon and "critically deconstruct" them for your listening pleasure. Good for a few laughs. Though it looks like it hasn't been updated in awhile - I'm only about halfway thru the feed so can't say if they're done for good or not.

I mostly listen to the Archie comics reviews. These two guys like it and it's great hearing them saying how great it is, and explaining why they like it. I used to read Archie back in the 1990's.
So if you're out for something positive, listen to it. There are alread too much bashings for the sake of bashing out there.

I have a weekly TMNT podcast called "TMNT - Der Talk" (which translates to "TMNT - The Talk") which you could check out.
I'm up to episode 83.
Well, the thing is, it's a german podcast. But maybe some german speaking TMNT fans could enjoy it. :tgrin:

Honestly, this is the best TMNT podcast out there. Their movie and game reviews are excellent and they're also a blast to listen to. Nice guys both on and off the podcast.

Hey guys! While I'm probably not considered a hardcore dromer, as I've just now started posting on these forums this year, I've used these forums a lot for good information and have referenced The Technodrome a lot on the show. Anyway, we're a family friendly show, and we try to squeeze out at least two or three episodes a month dedicated to every era of the Turtles. We'd love for you guys to give it a listen!
P.S. It's my goal to post on these forums a bit more this year. I'm more of a reader than a writer here. haha
