TMNT Fan Collectors Page Ideas.....

Ok, since my post in the collection number topic got a whole bunch of good feedback, I wanted to make a new thread just so everyone can see and give me more feedback on this...

I had an idea for all of you TMNT collectors out there!
I have a website that I can put up where you collectors can send me pictures of your collection with some good descriptions through e-mail. I would then post them for everyone to view. I NEED SOME GOOD FEEDBACK FOR THIS!!!

What should I name the domain?
Ninjaturtlecollecterstoys.com?
TMNTtoys.com?
I dunno, you guys make something up....

What should a good color scheme be?
Green? Black background? TMNT colors? Shell?
Again, let me know, and we can make this happen...

How about another section where you guys can send me witty yet informative reviews of turtles toys, plus I would post my own....1988-2003 toys! A review where we play with them a little, describe them, compare them to things, maybe a 10-1 rating too.....plus a picture of that toy...

Sound good too? Give me some ideas and we can play around with this site....make it fun....Let me know....

You should do it. A picture gallery of people's collections, along with toy reviews sounds like a good idiea.

I can't think of any ideas for the site but i think a black back ground with some nice TMNT graphics on the front page would be nice. maybe you could get somebody who is good at photoshop to do it for you.

Thanks for the feedback. I think a black background is the best idea because it goes well with other things TMNT related. I'm decent enough with photoshop to make decen timages. I'm not looking for a site design award...just something decent I'm sure I can pull off.

Another idea:
Well, duh, not just toys, I'm talking about anything TMNT related new or vintage. Right now just officialy licensed things. Skets, shoes, brushes, bed, etc...ANYTHING! Maybe a review section for those things too. Also, the reviews will be honest and not bias to or against the TMNT.

Any other ideas for a fan based TMNT site?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Many have asked "Is there a website where I could combine my figures with their accessories?" A page with a loose (easier to see than MOC) complete figure with a clar view of the accessories would be a great help to many triyng to sell or just complete their figures. With the help from loose collectors with cameras, most (if not all) of the figures could be included.

Wow, I have never seen the episode with antrax in it....do they make all of those figures from something....scaletail, hot spot, doctor EL, hothead, halfcourt sandstorm? Or did Playmates just make them up? Scratch is from the gameboy game I think, anyway...

That sounds good, but that would be more of databse kinda thing, not a really a reiview or a fan thing. I don't think it's a bad idea, just that I thnk since their are 0ver 1200 variations of TMNT figures some with diffrent colored weapons, I'm gonna leave that up to TMNTGal of The TMNT Databse and Larry at www.offthecard.com. They seem to be handling that pretty well. Too much for me 8)

I'd definitly visit. Great idea e-money! How about a funny captions section? You can submit a photo of your Turtle figures and others can add funny captions to them. These are always fun. :)

Sounds like a great idea to me. As far as I know, there isn't a single TMNT-only toy site, which is sorely needed.

Black (or white) backgrounds work the best...stay clear of "image backgrounds." You'll always end up with SOMETHING that isn't readable, and it's really disappointing when you get that far and realize it's not going to work.

For what it's worth, you'll have the support of OTC's TMNT team...e-mail me anytime if you have a big up-date that you want people to know about, and when you launch.

www.tmntfansite.com is definately the best of those 3. I really appreciate what you are doing for the TMTN community! If you need any help from me (don't know how I could help tho), I'll do my best! I'll be sure to send you collection pics when the site going a bit!

This is an awsome idea, I'll definitely submit photos of my collection if you get the site going. I agree, tmntfansite.com is the best one. How about a black backround with a shell themed navigation bar and a really cool banner. Collections could be the main focus, but all the other ideas sound great. How about a tmnt figure comedy comic? People could take photos and make up a little story line in photoshop with some comic style speech bubbles.

Ok, so far, I have been playing around with a temporary splash page and have been digging up some ideas. I'm guess an mid/early November launch? I would make it quicker but I'm gonna take my time and I have college to deal with, so forgive me if I'm a little slow here at first. Give me an e-mail here for any questions. Also, everyone start taking pictures of their colelctions, remember not just toys...TMNT EVERYTHING! All generations of TMNT too, no colelction to big or small.
