So a video named Top 40 lost or banned kids tv show episodes says that there is a lost/banned tmnt episode according to the comments. For some reason YouTube does not allow me to watch the video but could anyone watch the video and tell me what it is? Perhaps its the lost season from 2k3 or that dumb creepypasta but can someone please watch it and tell me? Thanks

With no links, I assume they are referring to Nightmare Recycled. Which was going to give an origin for Garbageman, that he was Hun's discarded conjoined twin.

The 4Kids series had an episode in the fifth season titled "Nightmares Recycled": http://turtlepedia.wikia.com/wiki/Nightmares_Recycled. It was never completed though. So there's really nothing to "ban".

Insane in the Membrane was also banned from US broadcast.

I have heard of Nightmares Recycled and I forgot about Insane in the Membrane getting sacked, it could be that. But why cant people just look up the title of the video? Its probably Insane in the Membrane. I'm going to Canada in an hour so when I'm there the video could work.

I did. It was nightmares & and the ninja tribunal season as "lost". No mention of the plot if nightmares remembered. He simply states "it was too contreversial" that video was stupid and i hate his voice. But you're welcome.

I'm almost 100% sure that it did air on Nick Toons though.

That was its premiere on US airwaves. Thankfully, Nickelodeon isn't as uptight with censorship as 4Kids was (and I'll be damned if I could find another nice thing to say about Nickelodeon at this point).

Its about Baxter making himself a new body that turns into a zombie because he didn't get it right. Its easily findable.

Nightmares Recycled could've fleshed out Garbageman's character a little more so it's a shame that we never got to see it. His weak characterization is probably why we haven't seen him in other incarnations.

Or, y'know, it could be because he's f*cking garbageman

I only wish they made another episode in its place. Season 5 was only 12 episodes instead of 13 since they abandoned making that episode. Instead they could have made a totally different episode there but didn't.

So in a way its sad because we still lost one episode.

It was probably too late to make another episode.

Such a shame. To think the 2k3 series could have been 1 episode longer. I lose sleep every night just thinking about it.

Laird posted an early script of "Nightmares Recycled" and it was garbage (no pun intended :p). It was hilarious reading Peter tear it apart piece by piece in his commentary.

Trust me, we lost nothing of value when that episode was shelved.

The Nick show will make up for it by having ATLEAST 7 seasons.

ATLEAST.

I remember laughing when reading that the first time because of how snarky and nasty PL was to the 4kids writers. He was literally talking down to them like they were small children or something.

To be fair, some of their ideas were terrible. We can thank Laird for Ultimate Ninja + Battle Nexus tournament idea.

The was also the entire Triceraton Shredder story that got scrapped.
Which is tragic because that would have been amazing.
I mean, look at that thing (http://peterlairdstmntblog.blogspot.com/2012/05/blast-from-past-537-february-13-2007-re.html)

Though, yeah, there are some things that's gratefully gone. Like Leatherhead transferring his mind into an Utrom. Thanks for the big nope, Pete. It makes sense that he might be a little out of place on their homeworld, though.

And with Ch'rell attached to the Triceraton face which is a little...pfffff. You okay there? Are your tentacles allowed to stretch like that???

Was Triceraton Shredder part of the whole Shredder War thing that got canned?

Oh man, I forgot about the Shredder War! DAMN, that would have been awesome to see.

No, Triceraton Shredder I believe was Ch'Rell in the future attaching himself to a Triceraton and mind-controlling it. The Shredder War would have been between Ch'Rell, Tengu Shredder, and Cyber Shredder in the present.

It's funny to read through Pete's notes and find out that HE'S the reason Nightmares Recycled got canned. The conjoined twins thing was his idea. :tlol:

I think there could have been benefit from the Triceraton Shredder storyline, and hopefully a chance to learn more about Ch'rell's history. Like where he came from, where his animosity for his own kind came from, how he got his scar, etc. Why was Mortu the only one interested in keeping up with Ch'rell's status? Were they friends once? Did they have a 'classic' Hamato Yoshi-Oroku Saki fallout? What kind of parent names their child Mortu? That's like a human being name Namuh.

At some other point, Peter Laird talks about Glurin being Mortu's son, and Cody's best friend. But that clearly didn't make it anyplace except him suggesting it.

One thing I realized now that it probably would make sense for Leatherhead to want to be an Utrom somewhere down the line. The most obvious reason being his association with them. But living on their homeworld, he might have trouble getting around. It's not suited to him, and so it would not be easy for him to adjust. It might be more ethical for him to just 'grow' a new body before transferring his mind to it, maybe by using the DNA of the Utroms he was closest to (Xeinos!)
It wouldn't be a total self-loathing issue, but for convenience.
