Cyborgs are cool. Look at Victor Stone and Cable.
And Donatello’s the Turtle who does machines: he’s made great equipment (turtle goggles, gadgets built into his staff, a drone) and he’s built turtle robots (TMNT2012 Metalhead), and he’s even been a robot (IDW Methalhead).
So stepping up from that, he could be a cyborg. I’m thinking that either he can have a metal limb, or that he has an armor that covers his body.
Do you think that this could work with Donnie one day?

That's sort of been a thing a few times already and it worked fairly well. No spoilers here, so you'll just have to read for yourself.

I think Image gets a bad rep. I liked a lot of the elements used in that series. Sure they were 90's to the extreme, many of the concepts would be cool to see revisited.

Is this supposed to be a parody of the "April could have been black" thread? The wording in the thread title is similar.

So, when they hired you for TMNT, how little research did you do?

By my count this has happened 2.5 times, maybe 3 times. Maybe even 4 times if you consider anytime Don had technology on him to be a cyborg.

- IDW
- Volume 4 (which is where the .5 comes from, because he was just really tiny in a robot body)
- Original cartoon's Season 9 mutation had him grow a cyborg eyepiece.

Wouldn't the .5 go to IDW since he was just Metalhead there?

His mind was transported into Metalhead, so he's a cyborg.

That's not how it works. He would need to retain flesh to be a cyborg.

So then what do you call Don in Metalhead's body? He's not a robot because Don's consciousness was in Metalhead.

Does "The Serling Unit" count as Don being a cyborg? (From the 2003 series Fast Forward episode The Journal)

doesn't he have gear attached to his shell in the recent movies? If he's not a cyborg there yet he's at least getting into Gargoyle* territory.
*using the Snow Crash definition here, basically someone who wears computing gear attached to their bodies 24/7
