I may have to rewatch the episode, but is the "villain" of the episode really a bad guy? The cartoon makes it seem like he is this evil man. What's wrong with growing food to feed his people and get rich? Sure he kidnapped April and faked ufos, but he didn't want people to ruin his plans.

He's an evil Texan, that's why. And he twirled his mustache in the episode, that's a sign of an evil-doer in Saturday morning cartoons!

It could have been used for good like feeding extremely poor countries like Ethiopia but it seemed he wanted to use it to defeat gain monopoly by outcompete the other local neighbourhood farmers.

^^ That's exactly it. By having huge crops, he would make a lot of money from resale and destroying many farmers' livelihoods in the process. Also, he stole everyones' crops so they would go hungry.

Plus don't forget the ecological effects it would've had. Even April brought that up.

Hey! That there is stereotyping, Mister! Now ya' darned well better apologize fer that there insult, buckaroo, or I'll have to learn ya a lesson in manners! (Seriously, Cubed, could you maybe NOT refer to him as an "evil Texan"? How about just a greedy farmer or some such? There is more to Texas than "evil" ranchers or oil tycoons....)
