Hello! I just dropped by to introduce myself after lurking around the forum for a while. I'm 27, female, and I live in south-east England. My first encounter with TMNT was the cartoon on the BBC, but I didn't become passionate about the characters until I read reprints of the Mirage series. I love the first film too, Henson did such a great job bringing the turtles to life.

I draw the odd bit of fan-art, and when I get some of it uploaded I'll post a link in the Fan Works forum.

anyway - why did U manage to get a TMNT comic?! I live in the middlands and I have seen NOTHING of a TMNT comic - so unfair, I keep ranting about it to all the shops but they don't like me so I doubt they'll do anyting *grumble*

Not long after the first film came out, WHSmiths were selling these colour graphic novels:

which I think were published by Penguin in the UK... don't know if they're still in print though. I've since been collecting the original comics, mostly from ebay and online stores. Have you tried any of these?

My local comic shop is branch of Blackwells, they sometimes have the new TMNT comics. Hehe, I've just remembered something.. a few years ago I went into a comic shop in London and asked if they had the TMNT comics which Image were publishing at the time, the guy looked at me like I had 2 heads... "there's not much call for Ninja Turtles these days!" Wonder if he's changed his mind now?!

And trust me, you may believe you have an addiction for the turtles, but there are people on here that'll make you feel like a rookie to the fanbase, no matter how long you've known them.
