There's an interview with Corey "voice of Donatello in the movies" Feldman here:
http://www.metro.co.uk/metro/interviews/interview.html?in_page_id=8&in_interview_id=668
This bit made me laugh...
Interviewer: When you did Donatello, did you ever think you'd got a raw deal? Let's face it, he was a crap Turtle.
Corey: I didn't perceive it that way, I always thought Donatello was the coolest.
Interviewer: Come on. He had a wooden staff and purple headgear - hardly manly stuff.
Corey: He's a turtle, so give him some respect - and from what I hear, a lot of turtles don't have very big staffs. His is huge - he pulls it out and the girls drop in their pants. And purple is very manly. You wouldn't want orange or red - those are gay colours. Don't f**k with my Donatello.

He he. That's pretty funny stuff. It's cool how he defends Donatello, considering he's probably the most underrated turtle in the team.

 Whoohoo! YOu show them! Donnie aint no homosexual... 8)
I really like Donnie... he's just...he's the charming kind of guy that used to be desired since like, back in the 1930s up til like, 1959...sweet, charming, holds doors for you, helps you with your chair....stuff like that... :anime:
These days, its the rough and tumble guys like Raph that are desired.
Don's not gay. He's just in the wrong time period... :D

*hugs Tetsu* Yeah, it only seems the jerky guys and the slu77y girls get them now...*shrugs, grins* thats why I love the guys so much...Leo's a gentleman, Donnie's the charming blushy guy who washes your car, and MIke's the funny guy that hits on you at the cafeteria.. :D

I never knew who that Feldman guy was till someone online pointed it out to me. I never liked his voice, sounds like a nerdy old man. :P Poor Donnie, everyone bashes him for no reason. :( You can really see those nice qualities in the boys, it's what makes 'em so dreamy, that and the looks of course! ...drool........ Raph, date rapist? :o Can't immagine Raph as a rapist, I really can't.

Heh, I can. Or at least the abusive boyfriend type.

Yeah, Don's the quiet one, and that's why he isn't as noticable to people. Under-rated, I liked that one. That fits.
And you're right Machias, he'd be the one to open the door for you, and pull out your chair and stuff... Donnie's such a sweetie. :D
And Corey Feldman sticking up for Don! *wipes away a tear* I have a newfound respect for him... Thanks, Corey! You're awesome.

He was always my favorite voice for Donnie.
Still is! I was hoping that the new series would have him back as a voice actor. (Im sure he's dying for work. poor guy)

They really should re-hire him! I mean, come on! He was the best voice for Donatello ever!

A date rapist he may be, but he still gets the girls. Just look at that Mona Lisa chick - she clearly couldn't get her hands off him.

Yeah, but keep in mind that that's the original toon Raph who never gets angry or has explosive outbursts. And if he ever saw one of his counterparts acting up, he'd just make a sarcastic remark (which would probably lead to him getting a broken nose)

Leo's perfect as a gay guy. Whenever I watch Will and Grace, Will's character reminds me of Leo.

OMG NO!!! It's impossible for Leo to be gay. His amazing hotness, brings balance to the uglyness in the universe. Besides he's already taken by yours truly!

Damn you! I can't see ANY of them gay - poor Fricken Donny, the dude shud get more respect! I can't see Raph as a rapist, nor Leo gay ... *thinks* maybe the NM version - but come on! The guys wud like to BE normal, and being gay is not ... normal... must - rant - more - control - GRR! Oh don't mind me, I've had a weird day today, I'd love to hit something ... oh sistar! *disappears*

*groans, rolling her eyes* What have I started...?
I dont seen ANY of them as being gay. Like I said, Donatello's charm and Leo's gentlemanly ways jsut arent appreciated in these times. They were all taught old school respect and such by Splinter, in my views.
*grins* Like Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas in Zorro (You mention the Gay blade, I kill you violently) the kind of gentlemen you'd love to meet.
Sean Connery, James Earl Jones, Sam Neill and all these aother older actors are all prime examples of the kind of men the turtles have grown up to be like. And of course, the all knowing, 'gentleman of gentlemen'. Master Splinter... ;) *must get website done...must...post...PICS!!!*
*ahem* heh....I'm sure the ladies here can think of other examples.. :P :D
Thats why I love the older actors, I guess. they have that charm and way about them that younger guys just dont have... :tlove:

Don's always been my favourite turtle. Charming, geeky and wears purple :)
Raphaella
10-16-2003, 01:52 PM
Hehe - He's sweet; smart and sweet don't usually appear in many characters (you might be able to name some but i can't), if someone's geeky then they're usually snappy or .. well, nerdy, unpopular. Don's a proper turtle-gentleman :D and for someone to have the strength and ability to kick every ass in town, he's special coz he'd rather not, er - they all are, yeah. (I'm blabbing a lot today, apologies)
Purple and blue have been my fave colors since I was 5. Why doesn't someone pick on Vernon - he wears PINK for crying out loud.

Stop talking about Raph that way! I happen to know people who would fight for you if someone ever said something wrong about you. Exit---stage right. *leaves the forum*

I remember reading interviews with him years ago when TMNT 1 was out, always defending Donnie.
Don's cool, the brains of the outfit.

Sheesh people NONE of the TMNT are gay. They never will be, but they may never have girlfriends for an extended period of time either. At least in Mirage, it's if they are destined to be alone. Kinda makes ya sad...

Yeah... I really liked his voice, too. :) I always like all of Donnie's VA's, but his is up there at the top. Along with the new cartoon voice... *sigh* :)
Oh, and your quote in your signature, lol. I love that skit...
