(Mutant) Pirate vs. Ninja

Seeing this is one of the biggest jokes in pop culture, I was thinking; would anyone else like to see some form of turtle media have a group of mutant pirates as the TMNT's rivals/enemies? Mutants like Armaggon, Merdude, Leatherhead, Ray Fillet or maybe Herman the hermit crab would make an excellent pirate crew. With all the stereotypical eye patches, peg legs, wooden galleons with sails, cutlasses, and 'arr mateys' anti-heroes for the turtles to fight. I'd personally love to see a group of mutant Pirates be an even match for the TMNT in a story, I even considered using the idea in a story myself, but tossed it aside. So, would anyone else like to see the tmnt face mutant pirates?

(And I don't see it as too far fetched of an idea; they've faced regular pirates before in the comics, and pirate themed Bebop and Rocksteady in the video games)

Man, I don't think I've seen this joke since I was in high school.

But...I'd be down with pirate-y aquatic mutant group. With one of the birds (Pete, Koya...Ace Duck) as a bonus, because they couldn't get a parrot.

Just have Pete paint himself green and yellow. He would probably do it for just a bagel or two LOL! Seriously though I love this idea. I must confess to having a bit of a thing for pirates myself especially after doing sone research a couple of years ago for my dark elf saga. I gained a lot of respect for the kind of cahones it took to take to that kind of life. But a TMNT vs pirate mutants tale sounds like a lot of fun! Maybe it could go like that one Mirage story where they were dumped on a ship while time hopping.
