Why do threads with the names of users get locked?

[FredWolfLeonardo]

Looking through this section, pretty much every thread with the name of any user gets locked, but why?

I read the forum rules, and while there is a rule to respect other members, it doesn't specifically say that talking about other users is not allowed, atleast if its in a way thats doesn't include attacking or harassing, like the threads "Where's netkeeper" and "what happened to C42 and ToTheNines?", I'm sure they weren't made with the intention of trolling/flaming so why lock them?

Threads like those have typically become troll-ridden and end up needing to be locked. We just cut it short to prevent the problem from occurring.

My "Cylons Reviews X-Men" or whatever thread has survived just fine. If a thread is made that is inductive to trolling, it's gonna get shut down.
