Man, these figures look awesome!

I especially can't wait for the Utrom, Fugitoid, and Triceraton figures.

Oh, man. I love you, Playmates. :)

The final paintjob on figures like the Notes from the Underground mutants looks tons better then the ones that were shown on the official site. Nice to see that rumor list we got was 100% true. Which means the only thing we haven't seen so far is the 'Splinter in Cryotube' and 'Usagi Yojimbo'. Holy Crap!!

Those Space Turtles come with an outer shell, so you can put a regular figure inside. They show the first Leo figure next to one, but I HOPE they come with new sculpts, that are show accurate. That's all I want now, is accurate Turtles, everything else is amazing.

Ok, here is the deal...

If Playmates dosent add more articulation and these basic paint colors (space turtles), I'm not gonna buy them. This is getting horrible. They started out so good and now are SO FREAKING MONEY HUNGARY. I'm very dissapointed.......We will have to see the final product. I love how Playmates dosent give a s*it what their fans think, only their bank accounts.

You're insane. Apparently you haven't been to the RTM board where Playmates is praised for their character choice and packing ratios. I know you're not happy about the articulation, but these designs don't lend well to lots of joints; it would ruin the look.

Also the four armed shredder looks beyond awesome, a little disspaointed with Leatherhead but Im not complaining seein as how I prayed for that figure for like the last 6 years.

No kidding. Not to mention they might cost more and/or not pass safety tests.

Atleast they arn't like the Mattel MOTU line, with a turtle variant in every wave. I have no problem with a turtle variant every other wave. Especially the ones they are doing. Other then their choice to ignore Baxter for the time being, atleast they are doing figures we want. :)

Do you have the Nonobot Monster figure? I'd say they did a good job articulating him. Granted, it would be nice to have ball jointed legs on some figures. At least they're not as bad as the Walkabout figure they made for the old line.

WOW!!!! This is so awesome!

-The first point I'd like to make is the importance of the final paint job, I thought Quarry and Stonebiter were pretty good lookin' figs, but now they look awesome with their new paint jobs! What a difference, they look great! Razorfist doesn't have his final paint job yet, but I can't wait till he does.
-The armored turtles look sweet, I'm so excited that they're comin' out before Christmas!
- Turtle Titan is amazing, again I think the paint job really improves this figure.
*I think it's important to note that the rest of the figs have rather, well, dull paint jobs right now, but I'm prety certain that these are like the first picks of Quarry and Stonebiter and that we haven't seen the final paint. These are just like the basic color schemes
-FUGITOID!!! I love his figure, it's stait from the comics, awesome!
-Utrom, same as above, it's the comics come to awesome plastic 3 demensional life!
-Toddler turtles, I'm comfortable enough with my masculinity to say that: does wittle' bitty' baby toitles look soooooo cute!
-Triceraton General and Triceraton Soldier, both of these look great, I love there unifroms and removable helments!
-Evil Turtlebot, he looks cool, plus he reminds me of the old metalhead figure from the old line so I'll get him!
-Giant Mouser, love how his hands are normal mousers.
-The Main Gaurdain, I love this guy, IMO he's the coolest new character made for the TV show. They show him with one of Raph's sais, I guess they haven't made his magic katana yet.
-Love the new Leatherhead
-Malignus and Silver Sentury look cool.
-LOVE the two Shredder clones!!! (I hope that they'll eventually make a figure of the little Shredder clone)
-The Love the "new" mutating figures, they come with a canister of ooze HOW FRIGGIN' COOL IS THAT!!! The packaging rocks too.
-Hmmm... it seems they have repainted the extreme sports turtles and gave each individual turtle a cycle, I think I'll pas on these, but they're still cool.
-The Ninja Fugures, if I'm not mistaken these are re-releases from the old line, normal looking figures with action figures, my kind of varients!

We're in for some sweet stuff next year, I'll concentrate on getting all of the normal 5 inch figs,, but I'll definetely pick up some other syuff too!

this made my entire day
I am really starting to like the line now....
if you don't mind I will post some of my thought son each thing listed... why ...why because I like you ^_^

1. Leatherhead - (I am sorry to the old leatherhead this guy could woop anyones ass this has got to be one of my all time fave tmnt figures rock on playmates!!! he looks even better on this site then he does on the official site!!)
2. Quarry - (not my fave but hey allot better then it originally looked! does anyone see that hole in her mouth I bet it will have water squirting action!)
3. Stonebiter - ( this one omg has got to be my new favorite out of all the characters I totaly love this toy and it looks like hes got awsome mouth chomping action!)
4. Fighting Gear Leo - (Love it love the bright shade of blue they used on him his new sword is totally awsome I think this is my favorite out of this set)
5. Fighting Gear Raph - (well I don't like this one so much I do love his new sais though very nice but his hat just looks bad like it doesnt even fit him I am sure they will fix that matter before it comes out though)
6. Fighting Gear Donatello - ( now I also like this one allot not a very big baseball fan but I dig this but I also don't like how the hat doesnt fit this one either....but he is a nice toy & I love his new dager weapon)
7. Fire Foot Mystic - (what can I say I love these guys also love there weapons just wish his arms were jointed but a very nice sculpt I must add!)
8.Fighting Gear Mike - ( this has got to be my least favorite of this set I don't like it besides his road cone on his leg & his new nunchucks but I do want to add a final nore on these the articulation on them is amazing better then any tmnt figure ever!)
9. Razorfist - ( I hated this figure at first but now I actully like it seeing better photos of it and more paint added to it the paint still could be better though love the hooks coming out of the back! and I also like the what looks like a crasping claw action...his arm joint looks rather wierd also I wonder if it is a ball joint it kind of looks like it I sure hope it is)
10. Space Hoppin' Leonardo - ( I don't know if I like this or if I do like this I will have to see more of it to be sure...it doesnt look articulated at all which is very wierd)
11. Turtle Titan - ( this figure just kicks ass I usualy hate variations of the tmnt but this is just great I love his shield love the paint job..but one thing I don't like is the pointed finger thing they have him doing makes him to statue looking but I love how his cape goes inside his shell)
12. Silver Sentry - (at first I didn't know what to think of this toy I liked him in the show but the sculpt looked kinda bad at first but after seeing him painted and seeing that he is black (yes god yes there is hope for baxter) I realy like him I can't wait to see what his weapons are..btw one more thing does anyone else think we could make a baxter out of that head hehe)
13. Space Hoppin' Mike - (ok I really like the colors on this one more then leos I am starting to wonder if they have some sort of action feture seeing as they dont look like they move)
14. Space Hoppin' Raphael - (I don't really care for this one either and raph is my second fave turtle I do hope they come with cool blasters and stuff)
15. Evil Turtlebot - (its no metalhead but I love this guy I love toys from video games it this is what it really looks like ..like they scaned the game with some strange ray and brought this thing to life!!! I love it..it also looks like it stores stuff in it's shell thats so bad ass! I loved those old storage shell figures)
16. Wind Foot Mystic - ( this one if my fave out of the mystics I'm just a sucker for blue toys....and he looks so cool and undead)
17. Shredder Clone w/ 4 Arms - ( ok love this toy except one thing the way they made the arms together so it can have that huggin' action thing it's got going on..i'd rather them have done the arms sepratly like they did with the old antrax figure it just looks odd to me this way but I will also be eagerly awaiting it to so don't get me wrong here it's awsome just don't like it's arms makes him not look as strong as he is)
18. Dr. Malignus - ( ok omg I didn't care for this guy in the show much either but I want this toy so bad I wish it was out now the colors they chose for him were awsome I don't even remeber him looking that cool in the show I only saw that episode once mind you and I don't remeber what his colors where I hope he comes with some bad ass weapons also this guys a must ahve in my book)
19. Giant Mouser - (this freakin toy I wanted to see from the day I saw the back of that card with the video game picture of it I am not disapointed in any of the video game figures this one is the best in my opinion it's amazing I love it's design from top to bottom I think they have a winner with this toy my fave part is the 2 mouser heads for hands I am sorry to ramble but this toys just great)
20. Water Foot Mystic -( ok I'm an even bigger sucker for aqua colored figures this one is a must have in my book I wonder why he has no face..some one prolly just turned it around like an ass...)
21.Triceraton General - ( I have mixed fealings for this one ver nice new cartoon looking design but I still love the old triceraton figure more...the old one just has way more detail to it....but in any case this new one is nice and I hope that his face mask comes off...and he comes with a gun and not a bow and arrow also I wonder why he has a robotic arm very odd)
22. Mousers 6-Pack - ( this right here is a fans dream come true)
23. Utrom's Ninja Guardian - (this has got to be one of the most well done sculpt out of this line I have seen yet the paint job is flawless I really want this guy even though I don't care for him in the show)
24. Shredder Clone w/ Claws - (this is the bst clone toy in my opinion a must have in my book well that is untill the mini clone is made if it is )
25. Utroms - ( I am not dissapointed with this one either I really love it I know you rall gonna hate me but it still reminds me of krang...I love the new body it comes with so much like the old comics I just love this toy I will prolly buy a few so i can have a bunch of utroms I love how it comes with a lil platform for him to sit on also I wonder if they will float around on them in the cartoon)
26. Triceraton soldier - (now this guy here he's the man love the giant gun! he just looks tuns better then the other triceraton once again i still hope there maskes come off them it's so nice to get 2 triceratons that have differnt sculpted parts)
27. Fugitoid - (omg I love this one more then the original GO Playmates! this is the way the old one should have looked...I love this figure man geez let me count the way of how much I do lol hope he comes with some decent weapons though)
28. Earth Foot Mystic - ( this is a very nice figure not many brown/wood looking figures out ...I will most definatly be collecting all of these guys)
29. Toddler Turtles (4-Pack) - ( ok I'm gonna sound like a dork but these guys are just to freakin adorable and it's about time they do this they should have done this way back when they did this on the old cartoon)
30 .Mutation Figures - (they look better from the first pics we saw but I still don't care for them I am sure the kids will love them though)
31. Ninja Action Assortment - ( I love them almost as much as I love the old ones they really did a nice job on these new versions)
32. TMNT Plushies - (I just don't like them)
33. 12" Garbage Armor Turtles - (very nice I'm glad there making big version of these)
34. The New Thrower (pizza Thrower) - (omg ahahahahah I so knew they couldn't resist I new they would bring this one back out kids will have a blast with this one)
35. Moter Cycles TMNT- (all I have to say is OMG I want these so badly I know they are just repaints & old vehicles but they realy do look so nice)
36. Pogo Copter - ( don't like this one I like the old rocksteady one better)
37. The Shell Sub - ( I know it's wierd looking and how the hell did they get this thing lol but whatever I love it none the less the old one was one of my fave toys as a kid and I am sure this new one will be a fave also)

over all everything is nice but I really do hope we get garbage man and baxter in later sets of vehicles if nothing else....I am really excited about these toys and hope everything comes out I'm sure there are tuns more things we have yet to see god how I wish I worked at playmates !!
well thanks for your time hope this isnt toy anoying love sharing my thoughts with you other tmnt fans

I want one also. Splinter is sooo cute. Give it time, is all I can say. I'm suprised they're doing 12" Garbage Armor Turtles before doing a 12" Shredder. But we know how Playmates is milking the line good this time around. So I expect we'll see everything we want sooner or later. :)

This is great, Playmates is doing an awsome job. I do agree that the paint jobs on a few figures are a bit lacking, but there are more than enough amazing figures to make up for that. I am definitely picking up the baby turtle 4 pack, triceratons, guardian, fugitoid, utroms, shredder clones, and foot mystics. As well as maybe some vehicles.

Note that some of those figures are still in the prototype stage. The final figures could very well have better paint jobs. Remember the preview images we got of 'Quarry', 'Stonebiter', and 'Razorfist'. Many said that the paintjobs were lacking. But the finished figure paintjobs shown at Toy Expo prove they were'nt finished. :)

Earlier in the line it was said that the figures would not get too far off from the show. The Sport turtles would have been the furthest. That is apparently not the case anymore. Though most of these are still awsome and I can't wait until these come out.

Yes, I'm really glad that they're doing characters from the show before any TMNT variants. For example, they could've gotten away without Quarry, Stonebiter, or Razorfist, but they did them. I'm glad too - I'd much rather have new characters than the Turtles dressed up differently.

True, but we do still need Trenchcoat Turtles and Purple Dragon Turtles. Then I'll be happy. Since we're getting Space and Toddler, I'm sure they'll look into doing the above sooner or later. :)

Dang those statu... I mean action figures look nice. But they remind me all too well of why I started to hate the TMNT toys back in the past. They're all stuck in certain poses, and have limited articulation. Sick. It's a good thing I stopped collecting toys tho...

I wouldn't mind Purple Dragon Turtles... at least they DID make an appearance in the show!

It just struck me that there's a lack of enemy vehicles... I think Shredder's helicopter (maybe with one of those tech guys) and a Garbageman would be cool. I suppose it's only a matter of time.

The 12" armored figures are cool, but why not, say a 12" Shredder or Foot ninja? We need someone for the Turtles to fight, seriously.

Overall, I really love this line. I'm gonna have to get most of the figures. The Triceratons are just great. But I wish the Foot mystics had a little greater articulation.

That would work. But I really hate soft goods on figures this small. If they were 7" or taller, maybe. But it just never seems to hang right. Though now I'm tempted to try to make my own....hmmm. :)

whats so far off the space gear or the junk yard armor? I'm sure we will se em both!

With the possible exception of the Tri-tons, the turtle mech and the bikes, I can not put into words how much I hate the rest of the new figures. They just look so plain, like they came from a dollar store. They just lack any real charm

the lack of detail and articulation is kinda bugging me :(

Note that some of those figures are still in the prototype stage. The final figures could very well have better paint jobs. Remember the preview images we got of 'Quarry', 'Stonebiter', and 'Razorfist'. Many said that the paintjobs were lacking. But the finished figure paintjobs shown at Toy Expo prove they were'nt finished. :)

Thanks Vintage Splinter, I guess I never thought of that, Although I don't know how much more detail they can but into Fugitoid (judging by the preview screens on the latest blast from the past). I also agree with everyone on having to set up a tmnt toy fund :)

Now that I look back on them, I guess you are right. The "Ninja Action Figures" are basicaly just the original figure with a different pose and a special ability. Same with the "Mutatin' Figures." They might even do Head-Dreopping Turtles again. However, I have a hard time picturing all those vehicles being part of the show. If they do, I hope they use them in a good way. Not just have them pop out of nowhere and never show up again.

I mean... woah!

Not only have Playmantes, in one single year, appeased nearly every one of my turtle tastebuds, but they managed to entice me to buy figures I swore I'd never buy: New characters!

While The Triceratons, Dr Honeycutt, the Utroms, and LEatherneck have been, undeniably, the *most wanted* figures in my collection (since way back in 89 when I read the second turtles TPB, and later, the Image comics...), but guys like the Foot mystics, the Shredder clones, and even Shredder's Elite were all givens for purchase and army-building... I've got six Foot Soldiers, and six Mousers thus far. I'm figuring to double those numbers at least, and add at least six Foot Techs, and the four Elite (as I beleive there are only four).

But The "Notes from Underground" characters look too cool, and Dr. Malignus is ubercool, so that whole sect of Turtledom (the new series exclusives) might have to find a place in my collection as well. I guess this means I should break down and buy Hun... hmmm...

Awesome stuff tho. Way to go Playmates.

I meant the characters are exclusive, not the toys.

The monsters, Nano, Malignus, and Silver Sentry are new ideas from the new cartoon, are they not? So they are character exclusive to that continuity.

I made a deal with myself, when the line started, that in order to save money, I'd only be buying the figures of characters I already knew and loved. But guys like Razorfist are just so interesting on thier own, tey make me want to be a completist.

Well now that we've seen the 'Splinter in Cryotube' from the Season finale. And I can't help but wonder exactly how they will produce the figure. It's a shame that we probably won't see pictures of it until Toyfair in Febuary.

Hopefully it's like the Star Wars - Luke: Bacta Tank Deluxe figure. That way they can give us Splinter's Tank, A removable (hopefully Super-poseable) Splinter, and the Control Panel that Donny was looking at. Throw in his Kimono and walking stick, and I'll be happy. :)

Did anybody else notice that half those figures are the sculpts from the origional toys just with different paintjobs and heads. And I'm very dissapointed with the "we have to find a generic reason to put out a new turtle" move that Playmates was notorious for in the past. I really thought that since the show would closer follow the origional comics that they would stick to basic characters. Don't get me wrong though, I'm in love with the leather head (just like he should be) and as much as we all love Krang, I'm so happy to see an Utrom in one of thier actual exoskeletons. All I'm saying is quit robbing me and stick to the story. :-)

"Half those figures" is a massive over-statement of the facts. The only figures that are being re-issued from the old toy line with retools and repaints are the mutating figures and the action turtles. These toys are not for the collector that was around at the time of the old toy line. They are for the new generation of TMNT fans. You know, you don't have to buy the figures that are reissues. You can always skip them.

Molds cost a lot of money for the company to make. And if they can save a lil money by retooling and reusing an old mold to make a cool new toy for the new generation of TMNT fans, then what's the harm. Kids have every right to be able to enjoy toys like we had when we were they age. I know I myself never had the mutating figures or the action turtles, so I'll happily buy them. Plus reports indicate the action turtles actually work really well unlike the old ones, since the mechanisms have been improved. :)

I know that post wasn't directed towards me, but I'll repsond to it anyway...

You know, you don't have to buy the figures that are reissues.I don't, not if they're figures I already, have like the Mutating ones. But I only have two of the Action ones, so I might get the other two that I don't have.

Molds cost a lot of money for the company to make.True, so it's nice that we got entirely new molds for the basic line, especially when it would've been very easy to just use old ones.
