Well Laird IS still working on the comics. I love Volume 4 so far but I can tell the best parts of the story haven't happened yet. It looks like they'll be some action in the next few issues though, especially with Donatello and Raphael.

the only ones that are really bad are the ones by the goofy guy, mark martin. well, if you like goofy-ness, hes definately great at it, but thats not what most of us want from a mirage TMNT comic. all the others ones can pretty much be considered cannon, and even some that cant (mike zulli's for instance), i think are actually *better* than the actual turtle comics. hes so awesome. hehe. the stories by richard veitch and chris farley are 100% great, and most of the others are "almost" on par in my eyes (like #42, that guy) - they are decent comics, and worth the read.

Agreeed, only books I consider pretty bad are Mark Martin's and Rich Hedden & Tom McWeeney's. Maybe be funny to some, but doesn't really fit the style.

I bet the time machine story could've been released by Archie, but the SPace Ship story by Hedden and McWeeny was way too raunchy for it.

I think the majority of non-Eastman and Laird Mirage comics are pretty good. Zulli and Veitch were mentioned, and I can't agree more that the issues they worked on were just plain awesome. I have more favorites, but I can't think of them at the moment... :ohwell:

Really, IMO, the only duds have been the second two Mark Martin stories (I LOVE the first one!!) and the Hedden & McWeeney books.

Heeden and McWeeney... Were they the ones who worked on a three part story and made the TMNT over the top (ie. there's an ish with a turtle holding a cow)?

Ugh... Those issues look terrible. I'll probably get them last.

There's nothing worth reading in them IMO.

You're probably right, but I'd still need to get them to complete my Mirage collection. Good thing I'm still missing a bunch of other issues.
