Original TMNT Movie to be re-released in Cinemas (UK)

Good news if you're in the UK, it looks like they are planning to re-release the 1st Ninja Turtles film back in the cinemas to cash in on the popularity of the new show.
The 1st Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film was originally released in the UK back in 1990 with around 2 minutes worth of cuts; however the BBFC have confirmed they've removed the previous cuts so it will have an uncut PG rating this time.

It was classified for UK cinema release on the 5th November so should hopefully be out in the next few months.

Actually, they're probably more likely prepping a DVD release of the movie. Since the movie and all extras have to pass the BBFC before they can be included on the DVD.

It's been given a cinema (film) classification, not a DVD (video) classification. Although it may be given a future DVD classification the current one applies only to UK cinema, implying a cinema release.

The Hall Mark project is supposed to Combine live action and CGI graphics. But the prjoect is still on hold. Hopefully it doesn't get cancelled...

I want to see it rereleased with all of the cut scenes! By that I mean: the few scenes of violence and weapon use that were cut, the full blinfold scene, and the original ending with the comic book proposal. I think they'd be great additions to an already great movie.

Aw Deathknight. At least you already have the uncut verion on DVD, we've had to make do with the awful editied version since 1990. We really deserve this so much with all the TMNT edit crap we've had to put up with.

I was so young when the original movies came out that the only one I can remember anything from, was the third one. That's probably due to me seeing like 5 times. The other ones my parents said they brought me to them, but I don't remember.

The site which I quoted above had a date in, but I'm not sure if that's approximate or confirmed.

I remember seeing that in the cinemas, ah those were the days, people still wearing legwarmers, people were happy, cheesy music, Vanilla Ice...Ah I wish it was still 1990, that stage when people started to realise that they dressed like some florescent chicken, and Turtle-Mania was in full force. :(

whooooaaaa... deathknight has a dvd copy of the original cut of TMNT??? as in ORIGINAL cut... deleted scenes, alternate ending, no farm montage, and all???
