After what happened to the Box City Wallops continuation (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1056947565/the-box-city-wallops-3-4?ref=user_menu) (I'm still sad it failed..., but it seems like D-A came to the rescue! It's looking good so far! $5,272 of $5,500 have been met already. 24 days remain, so hopefully we'll even surpass the stretch goal of $6,000 (a signed Dragonfly full color print).

Following the campaign on a regular basis and very glad to see we are close to funding! Reaching the stretch-goal would be a nice treat.

I can’t wait to check out Hellride. It seems like a darker direction than where Jim usually goes and it has a motorcycle theme. Some of my favorite turtle stories have a motor head theme.

Funded! Including the print stretch-goal. That rocks!

Just noticed Jim sold the actual property of Dragonfly to someone as his top tier pledge. What an interesting idea. Hope it doesn’t become wildly successful down the line and come back to haunt him!

That's... a weird incentive.
I don't think there's much chance of Dragonfly becoming the next Big Thing. Among Lawson's own creations, I always liked Bade Biker & Orson best!

I didn't even notice that. That's... wow.
"I want to get this property I've made off the ground... one of the ways you can help me do that is by buying it from me." Wait, what?
I gotta ask him about this...

Jim Lawson commented on that following my questions on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=2107034726058592&id=155495057879245&comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22O%22%7D).

That's a good interview.
"A bunch of years ago, I made several proposals to Peter (Laird) asking if I could expand on the volume 4 universe. These would’ve been stories outside of the main plot but after a few tries and rejections I stopped. Ultimately the characters are not mine, and I totally get it, yet I was frustrated that I was so throughly rebuffed."
Interesting. I had no idea about that.

Yes, the interview is really interesting.
Jim told me The Sordid Land was first written as a TMNT story featuring Leonardo and Shadow. Maybe it's the kind of projects he's refering to in the interview.
Would love to see this series going on by the way.

Yeah, looks like a Savanti Romero type character is also included
