I ment if this happened in the main series it looks like jennika is toast.

Well... Um. Okay. That's 2 months too early. Who screwed up this time?

It would be a bit weird for Jennika to die in a Free Comic Book Day issue, which is when IDW does their recaps before Great Big Events, but yeah, it would be happening within the actual story.

Imagine if they just spoiled Jennika dying in a FCBD issue PREVIEW. This would actually be worse than what they did with Donnie.

Free Comic Book Day is the first Saturday of May so why is it set for April 10th, 3 weeks earlier? Is FCBD moved up this year?

Okay, so... I guess I nailed it a while back when I guessed Jennika would be the title's casualty of war to ignite the conflict between the various factions. It's also worth pointing out that a casualty doesn't necessarily equate with a death, but an attack, be it deliberate or accidental, on the Foot Clan's current Chunin would certainly put Splinter on the warpath. Not to mention Casey and the Purple Dragons, given who that Chunin is.

So what else can we glean from this preview? The negotiations of issues 91 and 92 take place on neutral ground, wherever that is (any guesses?), and I'll wager there's a show of force from both sides given that Casey, Angel and Alopex are present. Karai will probably also take Bebop and Rocksteady with her if that's the case. I wonder if they have anything to do with this? Or if there's a targeted assassination attempt on Splinter, and Jennika stops it at the cost of her own physical integrity?

All I know is, these two meager pages from a FCBD issue are already chock-full of the exact urgent, action-packed vibe I was expecting from IDW's City at War as a big extravagant climax for the first 100 issues of the series. Can't wait to see more!

if there is a bloodbath coming a lot of characters may get killed off. Slash might have only been the beginning. It would also be a way to reel in the main cast a bit as its grown too large.

I don't actually think a lot of characters will be killed off. Killing characters has never really been IDW's shtick. The only characters I can really see dying are Foot characters (on both sides) and Hob, or another Mutanimal. Which, for IDW, is pretty much a bloodbath but still.

Well yeah I guess you have point now we have to wait for the later issues and shredder in hell to finally tie in to issue 100 and beyond. They seem to only kill if the plot demands it but with shredder being involved again might be to conclude the pantheon storyline we will later see the next big bads Ch'rell, null, and maligna in future issues.

Smart money says Hun won't make it. I really want to see what Casey would do with his old man gone and Jennika dead or fighting for her life in a hospital bed. As for the Mutanimals, I don't think any more will die, save of course Hob. And of course, pretty much everyone is expecting this to be Splinter's swan song. Apparently he gets to go out after a much more level-headed approach to things than in the past 50 issues, seeing as how this preview makes the war out to be Karai's fault. But I guess we'll have to wait and see how things fall into place on that end.

Then shredder himself returns and helps get rid of the dragon and takes back control over the foot clan lol.

I'm pretty sure that the Dragon Lord will just be one big story line on his own, since it's what the story has been building up to sine the beginning.
So Saki being able to do anything about it probably won't be for a very, very long time.

As for the Foot Clan, I can actually see it collapsing back into obscurity at the series end game. Again, not happening for a very, very long time. But that might all depend on what Ch'rell gets up to.

Ch'rell needs to be his own man.

Why call him the dragon lord just simply dragon will do I think his storyline will be next after city at war. Then Ch'rell then null and maligna.

I love what 4Kids did with that character, but yeah... Ch'rell needs to stand alone going forward.

They have changed the second page of the preview! It was where Jennika was in the van and now it's the fight with Bludgeon!!!

Does anyone save the other page?

Utrommaniac

They might just be changing the pages regularly?

This issue is going to be absolutely nuts.

But this preview after that scene with Don and Mike chatting with Bludgeon, man...

So in just 3-4 issues time Karai/Alopex/Bludgeon will do a complete 180 on the Turtles and all their friends, just because they can't take over the Foot Clan?

Ok...

This is the problem with previews that come out months before the issue. IDW might very well have the best story since Shrek hidden somewhere in their sleeves but after finding out about the huge changes characters will go through, people will immediately start jumping to conclusions and making up their minds, so even if the story does turn out good, their opinion could already be set in stone. And that's not to say I'm pointing fingers, I'm speaking from experience. It's kinda like the MK11 Roster Leaks tbh.

And plus, it's a bit hard to sympathize with a character when you know they're going to backstab your ass in a month.

We're all assuming (myself included) that Splinter is gonna hand over the Foot to Karai, he doesn't say that at the end of 91. We don't know what he's gonna say till 92. I thought Karai and her crew were gonna start a fight judging by the last page of 90, but as we saw in 91 that wasn't the intent.

Maybe he will hand over to Karai, but someone, like Jennika talks him out of it thus why she's seriously hurt.

If it fact Don is able to get Jennika to Harold's Lab, then I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Jennika probably isn't going to die but might find herself in a similar situation to Don back in Vengeance, i.e. in a robot body till her organic body can be saved.

Comixology has the previous two FCBD issues in the "One-Shots" area here - https://www.comixology.com/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles/comics-series/6433

This year's issue is not currently there. If you can't get to a retailer today, I'd keep an eye on the above page as I would assume it'll update at some point in the upcoming days. I don't recall for past years if the issues showed up on FCBD itself, or if it was updated later in the week.

Going by said previous releases, that site will probably have it at the beginning of June :ohwell:

So I finally got a copy and I must say it wasn't what I was expecting; not bad or good just different, but in the context of it being a free teaser of sorts for the series it makes sense.

If it was on TV, it would be a clip show for the most part.

The whole foreshadowing of getting Jennika to Harold's lab hits me as something interesting is about to happen.

I hope they don't pull the same trick twice, though. There has to be a twist in there somewhere.

I suppose this question fits best here, as this is technically the most recent issue directly connected to the main ongoing, but, what do you all think (and hope) will be the big, status-quo shifting, game-changing plot twist in #100? The #50 equivalent being Splinter taking over the Foot Clan.

Honestly, I'm really excited to see what the writers have planned, and a bit scared at the same time, because I genuinely don't see how they can top it without repeating themselves. The twist with Splinter set the board for the next 50 issues of the run, and I'm just anxiously awaiting to see what they'll do and if it'll be on that level. I get the feeling that it might have to do with Saki and perhaps him taking Splinter's place as sensei, as unlikely as it sounds, or perhaps the turtles splitting off and going in their own separate ways. I'm not entirely sure if I'd like either of these options, but I'm just trying to figure out what would be big enough to be the moment the last 50 issues have been leading up to, and the next 50 will build off of.

Those two are the most likely options at this moment, yeah. At least that we can glean from what's been given to us so far. Personally, I think the most likely status quo shift is Splinter dying (not necessarily in #100) and the Turtles disbanding as a result of that. But who knows, really? I don't think anyone saw the twist in #50 coming, so it's likely that IDW will surprise us once again with something none of us have predicted.

IDW has put emphasis on a few different areas of the story (and I'm not complaining, I like that there are different directions and options to go in) that it really is had to predict that moment in #100. I think the only safe bet is that Splinter is probably going to not be alive much longer, and Shredder and Takeshi coming back to life (and not necessarily #100 being where these take place). Beyond that is harder to predict, though the Turtles splitting up in some fashion has started to be hinted at a lot more in the last few months (at least in my view).

Oh yeah. It's pretty obvious they're going to split for a good while. And make some very confusing storylines in the meantime, probably focusing them in different clumps at a time before they're gradually having to be drawn back together.

April finishing off what she wants with Stockman...Ch'rell throwing a screaming fit on Burnow Island...Null finally stopping being mysterious and cryptic...Hob getting into business as usual.

My process of Aka comparing Krang to Jonah went as so:
