I am the only one who realises that a mother turtle can lay up to twenty eggs in one breeding cycle? If that's the case, then theres a possibility that Leo, Raph, Don and Mikey have more brothers, or even sisters! Donny might be able to trace these relitives (If any) via DNA sigiture, of course none of them would be mutants but it's still a family reunion.

Biological siblings, yes. But even if they could trace them, why would they bother? As far as I know, most adopted people have little interest to trace back their birth parents, or their possible other children. And in this case, if they would be alive, they would probably be either pets of people, or in a Zoo. So I repeat: why bother?

The Turtles wouldn't be able to talk to them or anything anyway. Plus, how to find 10 or so Turtles in New York or maybe even a larger area.

Family isn't genetic, family is built on love. Master Splinter is their father for all intents in purpose. That's how they see him, just as he sees them as his sons. They have no knowledge or ties to their form before they were mutated. So there is no reason for them to desire to seek out relation in the animal kingdom. :)

ya know whats sad, hypothtically speaking of course, they find their mother in one of those mass pet/food turtle breeding farms that send the young turtles to other countries for food and pets. ick.

I remember reading in my science books in grade school (which seems like a million years ago) that many baby turtles do not live longer than 24 hours. Since most mother turtles give birth on beaches and whatnot, after the baby turtles hatch, they have to squirm and wiggle their way back to the ocean. Most are picked off by birds flying in the area, or some other predator, before they ever make it to their home.

So while a mother turtle may produce 20 or so offspring, only a handful will live long enough to find a home in the ocean. We should consider ourselves lucky; instead of Michaelangelo, we could have gotten Venus de Milo.

Ninja Turtles.....you are talking about sea turtles. the mother lays about 400 eggs. a hundred of them will probably make it to the ocean....another 70 would be eaten in the sea

freshwater turtles lay about 40 eggs....most of them stay alive.

In truth this could become a really cool story. If you watch a lot of stories about adopted children looking for their blood relitives they do usually say they get a sence of completion. You can't rule out the same thing could happen to the Guys.

But the real hard part would come in finding all the individual turtles, some how I dought the breeder keeps records on turtle clutches, where each of them went, who got them, not to mention acccidents due to owners. Plus you have to add in all the Half Brothers and Sisters (I have no idea if Turtles mate for life) that are probly out there.

Maybe one way to find them, would to have the Utroms help. They got more technology than here on Earth. Still the Turtles have never really cared about their siblings, but a good story could come out of it.

Hmmm....
There was a series on Fox about TMNT.
The one before the ne TMNT.It had them discover they had a sister.
And thet there was a 5th turtle in the jar.
She was the Light Blue one.
It even turned into a movie witch was released on VHS.But it didn't go far.

& that can be true, what about adopted & foster cared-for kids aren't they considered family?
