Gosh, I have got to get out more. I'm starting to realize that I may be the only person left on the planet who has yet to see a "Star Wars" movie. :(
"Now that's what I call a movie!"
"Now that's what I call a cheapie!"

All right, I get the idea, comparing Mike to Jar Jar was a bad idea. I just figured because they both are goofy and think with their stomachs, that it was a good comparison, but after thinking about it, I guess not. Yeah, no body likes you, Jar Jar! :x

Mike reminds me more of young Obiwan or possibly teen Annakin when he's not being psychotic.

Have I ever thought about it... same thing as Rez. But my case was a few years ago, actually. I like your list too. It's more updated, but still similar to mine.

Sorry dude, I didn't know yours existed.Oh no, it's alright...you see, mine was based on the ORIGINAL toon, whereas yours is comparing the NEW toon ;) So, it has every right to exist.

Leo: No - ! .... EH?!
I was watching the whole lot the other day, *moans* what the hell have they dun to Obi Wan in AOTC!? ... damn. *sigh* oh well, must get the old Ben Kenobi luk somehow.

Actually, I thought AotC Obi-Wan was bad-ass. For one, Ewn MacGregor is awesome beyond all reason, and two, he got to do a lot more than he did in Episode I. Though he did kill Darth Maul, which was pretty damn cool in itself.
I'unno, overall I love Ewan's Obi-Wan. Shame he got all crusty and old by Episode IV. :P

NOBODY deseves to compared to Jar jar, nobody....
I agree, Ewan does an excellent job as Obi Wan, the only good acting in the whole freckin' movie as a matter of fact. And old Obi Wan is awesome too!! Alec Guinness rocks!

GAWD, all the time do I compare TMNT to Star Wars. There are just many things that related or borrowed ideas taken from Stars into TMNT. Yeah the Leo/Skywalker thing definately fits. Tho Shredder is no Vader, despite the fact he wears a similar helmet. And def. no father figure.

I got that treatment on www.bond20.com, it's shut down now but when Iona Havelock RIP complained about me complaining about John Cleese as Q, the owner of the site Clint said I reminded him of Jar Jar (!).

Eek :o
Duh, of course Obi Wan was bad ass, but his appearance was somehwat ruined by his beard, he was so damn hot in the first one.

Facial hair rules, he looked way more serious and bad-ass with a beard. He looks too young without it.

Man, I like Jar Jar. I don't see why everyone has a problem with him. Hayden Christianson(sp) however, could not act his way out of a box and nearly ruined episode 2 for me.

I agree, those "romantic" scenes with Padme were just ridiculous.

i think hes a great actor. the problem is the lines he was given. you gonna tell me someone else could have acted that dialogue believably?
id say he did a great job of continuing the character from ep 1

Tho Shredder is no Vader, despite the fact he wears a similar helmet. And def. no father figure. What I'm planning to make, Shredder isn't going to be their "father", but rather their "creator". The whole lost sibling element of the story won't be Leo and his sister, but rather Leo and his brothers (the rest of the turtles).
BTW, how can you say that Shredder can't be compared to Vader? Read my thread again, you'll understand I describe more than just what he wears ;)

As we say in Australia, a hairy face, is a scary face. Try this on for size...
Leonardo---- James Bond
Donatello---- Major Boothroyd (Better known as "Q")
Michelangelo--- Gordo Leiter
Splinter--- Tiger Tanaka (The man who taught Bond the ways of the ninja)
Hun--- Jaws
Shredder--- Ernst Stavro Blofeld
April--- A Bond girl of some kind.
Casey--- Jack Wade CIA

New toon Raphael isn't as good for Solo as old toon Raph. New toon Mike could make a good Han Solo I think. Casey would also make a better Han Solo than even that!
About the Shredder and Leo / Vader and Luke thing... Shredder doesn't seem like Darth Vader in that sense, but they are very similar.
I'd say if you want to throw that wacky IMAGE series into this then Raph would be better suited as Darth Vader and Shredder would be more or less Emperor Palpatine. Then I'd make new toon Mike Han and the rest accordingly...
Hun = Bobafett
Hmm... never of thought of that one. Could be, but Bobafett isn't a brute or technically a lacky.

Ok, everyone is complaining about that Hayden kid in ep. 2. Now, I know he isn't a very good actor, but would you rather have him or the kid from ep. 1? Now THAT kid was HORRIBLE.

Ok, after finally seeing a few eps of the new Star Wars cartoon, I'll make my comparisons (note I haven't seen all the episodes and most of these are guesses):
- Leonardo = Mace Windu
- Raphael = Annakin Skywalker (young) or Han Solo (old SW)
- Donatello = *shrugs* Random Jedi knight I guess...
- Michelangelo = Obiwan Kenobi (particularly the young verssion) or Fisto
- Splinter = Yoda (of course)
- Shredder = Darth Vader (old SW) or Lord Dooku

If they dont get the last one out there going to be able to use the same actors, I mean come on how longs it going to take I want to see it and I dont think lucas has even writen all of it yet.

Far as I know, he has. They actually started filming parts of Episode 3 during the filming of Episode 2. Don't forget there's already a script summary out there somewhere on the 'net.
