I voted for the old show's art, it seems whenever i see art of the new show its the same 2 pictures, and it is getting boring. I love to see the animation though...

It's actually a really unfair comparison. And the use of the word 'best' denotes that one is better then the other. They both are good for their respective times. And they both capture the mood and tone of the show's themes that they appear in. So where's the third, "It's an unfair comparison" choice? Because it's really unfair to compare the old with the new, as they're both different beasts. And there are pros and cons about both styles. Especially the two peices of art that you used to illustrate the point, neither of which is animation from the actual toon. :)

Yeah, I think they're both really good pictures. Both very well done, and fit the mood of the shows, although neither looks exactly like the cartoon animation. :P

I like the old show more, so the old show picture appeals to me more. But to be honest, this isn't really valid. I'm just going to quote a few people ahead of me in this thread and say "They're both good for their respective times".

The new series, easily. The artwork is so breath-takingly detailed. Love it.

Between those two pics i like the bottom one (2003) pic better. But art-wise, that first image of the orig. toon isn't a very artistic pic. Considering how many times the artwork changed in teh old show. Like in every other ep there different artists. Here are some examples of the different styles of art in teh orig. series. But depending on who was animating them, and how good the artwork actually was, (it varied as you can see in these pics) I sometimes liked the orig. toon's artwork better than the new toon's. But I do love the art from the new TMNT alot too. The lines are straighter and more stylized and it does go with teh dark setting.

I'd have to go with the first one...I like the way its drawn more. The second one isn't bad, but I like the more cartoonish, fun feel the first one has.

Ummm... I hate both.

The first cartoon's was too... cartoony for my taste, and the second looks like anime- too many straight edges, and flat colors, or something.
