In the name of TMNT. What are they?
When I six I managed to convince a gang of my friends that it would be great if we went searching for the turtles in the sewers. Forget for a sec that I wasn't in New York, forget that the turtles are fictional, to us little half pints none of that mattered, we were just so determined to prove they were real we didn't care. We went to the street just outside my house and walked a bit to the nearest manhole cover. There were about three of us. Even together we couldn't lift the cover up. After about five minutes we gave up and put the idea out of our minds. Never tried anything like that again but it's a funny memory for me to look back on.

No problem, we have plenty of repeat threads, this is a more original one!

I can't recall anything drastic, but my father and I devoted probably alot of energy to searching stores for figures I wanted. Kmart, Kroger, Toys R Us...we searched every row of Turtle figures for gems and rarer ones...this was back when the old line of figures was stocked of course.

Heh... I remember me and my cousins once tried to eat a whole large pizza by ourselves, just like the TMNT. We ended up getting pretty sick, LOL! Of course, we were all rugrats back then. We could probably finish a couple of large pizzas nowadays. :D

Besides being as obsessed if not more obsessed with the TMNT at the age of twenty than I was when I was ten??? Actually, when I was little I made a couple of sais out of cardboard, put a red bandana around my head, and went to day care dressed like that. That's kind of weird, I guess.

One crazy thing I did was get up on stage for my band's performance and we tried to play a song we learnt the day before (well I wrote it so I knew it fine) and the other 2 messed up so they just stopped
So moral is: Never play a song your band learnt the day before
Or TMNT related..I tried the marshmallow pizza that came with the turtles craze
Moral: Just coz it has turtles on the box, doesn't mean it's a good pizza

I can't really say I did anything TMNT wacko as a child because I wasn't really interested in the old show, though I vaguely remember once me and the kids in my old block of flats went fighting over a rubber TMNT frisby, we went running all over the place obsessed about it, I remember the kids went running from the top floor all the way to the front playground. I do seem to recall kids running around with masks on and attacking each other with plastic TMNT weapons.

Spend almost $100 on old figures still in the box.

Last year I came to school dressed up as mikey(as seen in avatar). I also made sure everyone in all my classes knew about the new show for the first day it came out. I even made a countdown on the chalkboard. Hmmm.... Last year I had a saturday detention(for some reason they give 3 hour detentions on saturdays  ) and I didnt want to miss the episode nano so i almost risked getting expelled and not going to it. I eneded up taping it though.
I tried that sewer thing before.... :|
Didn't find any Turtles...
:| :| :| :|
...just a sh*tload of cockroaches... :dead: :o

If you're looking for something TMNT related, I don't really have anything. Every Friday when I'm on the bus I tell my friend it's happy today because tomorrow Ninja Turtles comes on. I think she thinks I'm crazy about TMNT, but I don't care. I've got an old TMNT action figure that's supposed to talk, and I took it apart to try to find out why it didn't work. I didn't find out what the problem was, but I tried. :)

The whole sewer thing..yeah, my cousin and I tried doing that also. See, him and I lived just around the corner from each other, and right in the middle of our street there was a man hole and a sewer grate. So, him and I, just ignoring the fact that the Turtles are supposed to be in New York (we live in the South..aka Louisiana..lol), just casually went to the man hole and tried lifting it up. We couldn't do it, so we got one of my brother's friends to open it for us. Johnny, my cousin, well his mom went shopping that day, so we were doing this not supervised (we were always left alone). And right when my cousin tried jumping into the man hole, his mom was just driving down the street and saw us. She picked us both up and grounded us for like a month.
Then Johnny and I were sort of like clepto (? on spelling). See, his favorite Turtle was Mikey, and mine was Don. So he would always steal my Mikey figures that I had (even though he had like 30 collected). So, for payback, I would go over to his house and just steal his Donny figures. We eventually got into a huge fight because of it.
Then, my mom told me that when she took me to see the "Coming Out of their Shells" tour, she had found a way to take us backstage. So I got to meet "Don" and get his autograph. Well, after a couple of pictures (and me totally, like, latching onto him, lol...this is kind of embarassing) my mom told me it was time to go. She said I just sort of clinged onto "Don's" leg, and shouted to my mom "No, Don is in love with me." She eventually got me to go home with her...she wouldn't tell me how she got me to though. So yeah....you can pretty much figure I was into the Turtles when I was a little kid..and that's not couting all the little plays or play pretending my cousins and I would do together. LOL.

When I was in grade school, we had to do these things called lip-syncs for music class. The only songs I ever thought were cool enough to lip-sync to were the tunes from the "Coming Out of Their Shells" cassette.
I dressed up in all green sweats, brought out Michaelangelo's plastic orange nunchucks, and just lip-synched the heck out of "You Can Count On Us."
I did another song the next year, but I forget which one it was. I had grown a considerable amount over the span of that year, and my green sweats no longer fit me loosely.
I couldn't understand why people in the class kept laughing at me and pointing. My performance couldn't have been that entertaining.
When I sat back down, several kids pointed out that because of my tight green sweats, it looked like I had a boner while singing and dancing in front of everyone.
Yeah, that was a tad bit embarassing.

In grade school, i dressed up as Shredder. Hand made armor from cardboard and paper. How embarassing when my teacher actually made me wear to the principal's office. The office had a window facing the hall, with a chair inside the office. The principal told me to sit in the chair in front of the window in that stupid disgiuse until my dad can come up to the school. Some kids thought something was wrong with me, other kids thought I was the coolest kid in school. Me i wish i haddent done it in the first place.. :goofygri:

When I lived on the Air Force Academy in Colorado, my little brother and I rallied up all the neighbourhood kids to go on a 'Turtles March'. I'm not terribly sure why, but it probably started with having way too much sugar for breakfast. Anyhow, three Leonardos, five Michelangelos, two Raphs and one Donny later, a horde of kids between six and twelve years old with magic-markered paper towel bandanas and various ninja weapons (sticks) began a trek up to the ol' BX to get some candy.
A cadet my family sponsored actually stopped and gave us a dollar because we were just so damn cool. Unfortunately, splitting that nearly a dozen ways proved rather tough. Actually, I don't think I ever saw my cut of that. Crap.
