What do you want me to do, have every scene that involves pizza for each animated adaptation. Keep in mind I had to search for a slice of pizza from the 2k3 series

I'll go with the OT, purely on the merit of Mikey's wacky recipes. The banana & sausage one is genuinely good.

As fun as the toppings from the OT were, as far as appearance, I'll go with the Nick 2012 series. So pretty! (As someone who actually worked making pizzas, most of the others lack proper topping coverage and/or crust-lock.) Looks like they went easy on the cheese, but meh, whatever.

My secondary vote goes to BvTMNT, for being so close to a "perfect" topping placement, cheese coverage, and crust lock, but it just doesn't look as realistic....

Funnily enough, I never payed any attention to the appearance of the pizza in any of the incarnations, but now that I think about it, I have to go with the 1987 cartoon.

Those toppings are just so over the top, that they actually end up looking pretty delicious.

Pizza discussion, okay... Well if we're just going on the basis of looks, then 2012 has it, imo. Though being 3D animation it has an unfair advantage.

It loses a point on the fact that the cheese makes it way too obvious that they're using the mirror tool to duplicate one slice into eight... but not a faux pas considering it wasn't meant to be focused on as a still frame.

But it definitely wins points for very possibly using an actual mushroom and pepperoni for the textures. (Maybe for the whole thing, but harder to tell on the other elements.)

Based on the pictures alone:

The OT one definitely looks the best oddly enough even if it lacks cheese.

2k3 one looks boring and generic tasting.

The 2012 one looks like it's made of plastic.

Rise looks like a supermaket frozen pizza one.

BatmanvTMNT looks almost good but a bit too greasy.

So yeah I guess OT.

That's really only a chain-specific thing. Our "fast food" pizza like Little Caesars or Dominoes definitely qualifies.

But if you go to an actual pizzeria, an independent shop/restaurant, it's always authentic stuff. Thick doughy crust is considered a less-desired variant in joints like that.

Most Americans know no better, though, 'cause they'll just eat whatever crap is closest.

Not going to lie I'm kinda surprised how many people chose OT, to me the cheese looks too much like mayonnaise

I remember many times watching the original cartoon as a child, finding myself craving pizza. There was one time, I was like 9 or 10 years old trying to make one the weird combinations that they were eating. It ended up being disgusting.

The Fred Wolf TMNT pizza always makes me hungry for it. The animators obviously did a good job in that respect. :D
