I did not see a thread for this shockingly. Allow me to start it as I make commentary as I watch the episode.
-Michael Reaves I believe has the second most episodes written after David Wise. Reaves wrote Enter: The Fly as a co-writer. He has a solo effort here.
-The title card with Leonardo in an orange mask really should have been corrected.
-Electricity will cause his vibrations to slow exactly to the point of being in phase with the rest of the world again? Um,okay. It also happens within seconds of Baxter arriving.Oh, plot convinces!
-One of Greg Berg/Scooter's seven outings as Donatello and Bebop. Was it Barry Gordon becoming the SAG president that kept him from these VA sessions?
-Ah, despite Baxter's dewiddled intellect he remembers the easiest way to get to the Turtles and April speaks of wanting something interesting to happen to fit irony into the situation.
-Rat King appears. Was he swimming? He bubbles up in front of the Turtles. Also, this is the ONLY time he was a neutral character. People claim he is mysterious and not evil. He definitely is and tihs appearance is sole not evil appearance in any media. All other times he is a bad guy. A soft spot for April and he was not involved in her kidnapping? He likes her red hair.
-Baxter is so easily duped. It makes me wonder if the Turtles could talk sense into him.
-Rat King admires Mickey Mouse, mice and rats are similar but different species. Templeton or Rizzo would have worked better even if we as children may not have got the reference right away.
-Its not until Baxter, Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady appear in the subway station do the Turtles learn that Baxter Stockman is the fly mutant. It was never mentioned to them before when they encounter him those three scenes in Enter: The Fly.
-Whatever Baxter injects into the gasline is not addressed. It does give us a glimpse of Mike's future use of the grapple-hook.
-'April, it won't be safe'-Leonardo 'Stay here and miss the story of the century? No way!". No one argues. Raphael, 'I knew he would say that and I knew she would say that!". Line still gets me to snicker.
-Freeze ray blasters? This is the only time the henchmutants use these, correct? Why all of a sudden and never again? Is it all about plot convince? It turns all the water to ice and moves Baxter from one scene to another.
-How long is that tunnel to the Technodrome? That has got to hurt!
-Good line by Rocksteady after Bebop questions why Baxter is going down the module-made tunnel with them, "Haven't you heard there are flies at every picnic".
-In response to their arrival Krang says to Shredder,' Well, Shredder there is another scheme of yours down the tubes'. In the first scene Krang was going over a map with Shredder. It's not Shredder's scheme, but THIER scheme in the ongoing plight to repower the Technodrome.
-After Krang speaks that he prefers to not have Baxter work with them Baxter suddenly breaks free of the block of ice angry at the insult. How could he hear them encased in ice?
-This will have some continuity aspect to it just like Enter: The Fly to Return of the Fly. Baxter simply flies off in the underground and will run across the ancient spaceship before Bye,Bye Fly.
