TMNT Idea April or Angel ?

Hey, so my friend and I was spit balling ideas towards a TMNT cartoon or show and she came up with an idea I wanted to see your guys opinions on as fellow fans.

The idea was instead of April being the first to meet and befriended the turtles. What if it was Angel ? She argued that she liked Rise's interpretation of April but she knew not many people like how this version of April was "Punch first, ask questions later" and was running into the danger rather than being calm and collected. So she said what if they made a tmnt series where instead of April meeting them it was Angel. Then have April be introduce later on as one of Angel's friends and meets the turtle afterwards.

For a fanfic/art, sure.

But for an official show, April gotta be it as she is the First Lady of TMNT. Not Angel.

If people don’t like Rise April’s punch-first attitude maybe tweak her personality in the new show?

Hm, maybe. I'd prefer April first, but I wouldn't hate it if it was, say, young teen Angel, to give the TMNT a young friend still and allow April to go back to being an adult.

Might be more interesting if she also isn't ally at first. Sometimes she's a troubled kid... Maybe the Turtles might across paths with this hostile kid they end up concerned about and they don't run into April the first time until she and the Turtles are both trying to track Angel down for whatever reason.

Maybe April and Angel live and grew up in the same apartment complex. So to April Angel's like a little sister to her and she tries to keep Angel on the right track. Although that would fit Casey more than April

I'd had the idea to introduce Angel first, not April, in an outline for a TMNT movie I did awhile back.

I keep meaning to dust it off and finish outlines for the sequel and threequel, but then I remember, "what's the point?" :tlol:

To be fair, Rise April coulda just been Angel. Would explain her fight-crazed 5th Turtle personality.
