What other "old-school" characters would you have loved to see reappear in Rise?

As much as I love the newer characters created for the series (especially Draxum and Big Mama), was a shame to see less familiar characters every so often.

What old school characters would you love to see incorporated into the series?

My first thought was Krang, and I'm always happy to see Triceratons. And I'm a big Rat King fan.

I agree that it was great to see Rise bringing in a lot of new characters, but I also would have loved to see what they might have done with some of the TMNT mainstays they didn't get to.

I would have loved to see Leatherhead, Bebop and Rocksteady in rise they already showed designs for them in a few episodes.

Any toy-only characters, like how they teased Halfcourt.

So, Scaletail, Hotspot, etc. We would have gotten a Monty Moose episode if season two hadn't been cut short. :(

The IDW book was the only incarnation of those characters I could take seriously. The Star Wars influence helped their concept tremendously. The more that I read Krang War, the better I like it. Waltz and co. are the only team to ever give these guys any credibility.

Okay, they are not that bad I just don't like how they basically used the same designs but gave them guns and with a slight commando aesthetic.

All of the sides characters have entirely new look to them but for whatever reason these three still have to look like space Snap, Crackle, and Pop.

Really? Aww man. This is what rise should've exploited and would've won casuals. Rise could've been Batman brave and the bold for tmnt

It was definitely going to head in that direction, they just wanted their own identity first. Oh well.

A shame but yeah to answer the thread, I would've loved to have seen any character that is not "worthy" of showing up, not the usual cast we see in every show. They can make cameos but if this wanted to be different it didn't need the old cast or making Casey trans for example. I loved they made new rogues for the turtles and returning ones you have a huge cast of playmates toys who have never been brought back, I would've gone for .You have great villains from ninja turtles the next mutation (https://miscrave.com/articles/ninja-turtles-next-mutation-season-2/), the power ups from the japanese OAVs just to name some obvious ones. sisyphus or IDW mutants.

I would have liked to see some obscure characters show up in the show, to give it a bit of a bite for older fans and another chance to reinterpret characters.
