Who here remembers Buffy Shellhammer?

Her voice was really annoying for some reason, but she had a funny name before Buffy the Vampire Slayer made the name popular in 1997.

Is it ok to bump a thread from 2014? Back then Obama was still president.

Obama's VP is now president so it's ok to bump.

Wait, 2014s are bad to bump but a 2005 (or around that old) is fine? I'm confused.

Also, that girl is very annoying and needed to be knocked down a few spoiled pegs.

Don't act like you didn't just bump a post from the freakin' George W. Bush era...oh...or what Indigo said.

Too bad the show was status quo to the 10th degree. It would at least have been interesting to see a future episode when she grew out of her spoiled brat phase.

I still notice how not only did Mikey have a crush on her, he seemed to have forgotten all about Kala and stopped acting romantic around her in the later episodes.

Fun fact, due to David Wise's laziness, she is literally the same character as one in Transformers. The script was recycled from that show.

Jennifer Darling did have a way of making her characters sound somewhat annoying, I found it pretty funny. Love the scene when she makes Shredder's/Krang's brain analyzer blow up by being intentionally obnoxious.

According to Wikipedia, Buffy is a nickname for Elizabeth. To me, that sounds strange. Buffy is not even close to Betty.

Huh. Didn't know it was really a nickname for any particular name. Just a good "spoiled" sounding name.

Wouldn't be the first that doesn't really make sense. i.e. Bill being a nickname for William. (edit: Though I also just Googled it and read that it comes from a trend back in the Middle Ages :teek: of changing letters to make rhyming nicknames, so Will became Bill. So at least that on has an explanation. Buffy, not so much.)
