View Full Version : Hashtag for dromers?

I was playing around with the idea of having something of an "official" set of hashtags for technodrome forum users who post on social media. Maybe it wouldn't be super necessary, since we do have a whole forum here, but if you post anything TMNT related on instagram or Facebook, would you use such a tag? I find it interesting when I run into fellow dromers on social media.
We could use something like: #DromersForLife, or #TechnodromeUser
I don't know. Just a thought.
This is of outmost importance I suggest #thedrome #certifiedturtlefied & #gottakeepthemseparated

Or we just post in the drome FB group? Does the drome have a tweeter or insta? Or anything else?

You people are willing to admit in "public" that you're a Dromer or a Ninja Turtle fan? :tlol:
Because at this point, given the way the franchise has been going for awhile, I think I'm back to not talking about TMNT in public. As Nickelodeon keeps reminding us, this $hit is for kids and adults need not apply (but do please keep paying for merch). :trolleye:

If I saw #droming or related variants on social media, I'd just assume it's a sex thing and make a mental note to never talk to that person again.

At least those people would be (presumably) getting laid, no?

It's a solo act.
That only makes the hashtag #droming more fitting for the drome then.

Might as well wear a swastika armband. This place is hated, you know. Terrible, pointless idea.

Why not just use the hashtag #technodrome or #technodromeforum? I think the hashtag should just be straight to the point and intuitive. Also why is the Technodrome hated?

Because we're all here, naturally.

Apparently no one here understands the point of hashtags...

Let's be honest... It's mostly because I'm here.

We're a toxic echo-chamber of grumpy old men who hate women and minorities and have never, ever had sex once.
At least, that's what I've come to understand the outside perception of the forum as. Hell, 90% of that might even be true!

Maybe it's just me being suspicious old me, but this kind of feels like the OP wants us to put ourselves on a Schlinder's List of "Watch out for these people!" for the masses. Kind of for the... eh, the general intent of what Snake posted. :)
Like... "Heya, bros... I hear ya all like the republicans 'round these parts! Hah! How about y'all add a little tag to all of your posts so that we know who the nazis are!"
Apparently no one here understands the point of hashtags...
The point of hashtags has changed through out the years, I guess used somewhat on IRC but the modern use was more when twitter first started years ago to be able to search for stuff. From there it evolved into what it is now to show what's "trending", support, emphasis on certain words or whatnot. So I don't think there's an incorrect use of hashtags anymore since everyone uses them for whatever they want.

I don't think your average Drome user is on Twitter or Instagram. Or at least not as much compared to the average user of those platforms.
The Drome skews older on average. And while "everyone" is in social media nowadays, I don't think a significant portion of this place's userbase is the social media addict type.
So I don't think such hashtag would catch one and I seriously doubt this place will ever trend on social media someday. That thought actually sounds scary tbh since it would most likely mean either a scandal or a bunch of snowflakes accidentally finding out this place and trying tj cancel it.
