I always make the comparison of both the Kamen Rider Franchise to the Ninja Turtles franchise as they have much in common from the different tones they carry, to the type of content that it creates, to just how varied it can be from one iteration to the other. So I decided why not make a chart if you like one version and what Rider version would be the best place recommended to watch.

There are a couple of jokes here and there (both paramount films and Ghost being garbage in their franchise) but each one I do think work in conjecture with one another.

Aside the obvious Saban connection, I don't see much worth comparing here.

I guess there is a little bit of worthwhile comparison between the two franchises in the sense that the original Kamen Rider show is an adaptation of Skull Man, from which it very clearly deviates a lot in how the Fred Wolf cartoon also deviates greatly from Mirage. Of course, Kamen Rider isn't really marketed as being part of the Skull Man franchise and you might never have known the connection given the differences.

I don't think most of those are great recommendations if you like the other type of series. Saban's TMNT The Next Mutation does work (https://miscrave.com/articles/ninja-turtles-the-next-mutation/) with Saban's Masked Rider both being amerioku (https://miscrave.com/articles/masked-rider/). But Kamen Rider Shin (https://miscrave.com/articles/kamen-rider-shin) has nothing to do with TMNT 1990, same with the other two 90s Kamen Rider movies (http://miscrave.com/articles/kamen-rider-zo-j/). I haven't read The Last Ronin but unless it's an adult show with a lot of violence, how is it similar to Kamen Rider Amazons for a TMNT (https://miscrave.com/articles/kamen-rider-amazons/) recommendation. Can't comment on the other shows I haven't seen but they're just entirely different beasts good in their own right.

Well for me the 1990’s film as well as ZO is hard to explain. It s that late-80’s/early 90’s gritt and tone, that one where when you watch you can easily tell what time period it comes from. And I just put J and Shin there because it’s easy to recommend all three rider films as a trilogy.

I tried, but I couldn’t think of a season that would fit the j-drama era of those seasons.

Almost every TMNT incarnation?
