Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys return this year from Playmates with a line of 5" action figures based on the new upcoming animated series. We gave you a glimpse as to what the figures would look like without the articulation at this past weekends SDCC. Now Mark writes in to point out that MarzDistribution has posted a new picture of one of the figures with articulation. They have also posted some conceptual art of two upcoming vehicles, The Turtle Motorcycle and Turtle Sewer Sled. Look for these this holiday season and thanks to Mark for the heads up.

As far as I see, the figure (leo) is great! But with the new he-man as competition, I really hope they will do a better job! This year is gonna be the retro year! :wink:

I am so damn excited about this upcoming show. If that's how Leo's gonna look in it I'm psyched. That does look very much like TMNT Vol 1 Issue 1 Leo. I can't wait to see how the Shredder looks. Rock on!

On a side note I think this is like my 15th or so post and I've never received one of those mangos I've heard so much about.

I really like the detail on the first ones a bit more. And on the next mutation. I sorta was hoping they would go in the direction the next mutation was taking, and have super detail and everything, and not be so cartoony. Have you seen the new masters of the universe? That's what i was hoping they would show up as.
But it's all good.

I know what you mean dude, I am probably the biggest action figure geek at these forums. Someone said that they had pics of the tmnt toys, in the process of being sculpted with no articulation. That's how they start a figure, they sculpt it with no articulation so it's like a statue, then they add the paint and articulation.

Like I said before the new Leo certainly does rock, but let us not forget how the original TMNT toys looked and just how goofy they actually looked on the show. I hope that's how the cartoon Leo looks.

Aww... Cheer up, Mike! It can't be that bad. I think Shredder and the Foot will be in the new cartoon so it'll bring back fans of the old cartoon. I'm sure there are going to be plenty of new villains as well (the Triceraton action figure is proof of that). It'd be cool if they did a Batman Beyond approach to the storylines... For example, they should have Shredder be a re-occurring villain, but have different villains appear to break the monotony. Hey, at least we're getting a new cartoon! ;)

Also, if they do like they did in the origonal line....500000000000 figures for each turtle, Ill be pissed. They already have the first ones planned, then a second! Man, I dont want any space suit turtles, cowboy turtles, or anything else like that.when kid i could never find official "naked" tmnt figures, i had to buy the space suit raph, but i lked it :), and so i liked the music star turtles, and lil' the army ones, but i think an olimpic turtle was a very stupid idea :dead: , some idedos for the figs were good...........and most of them were bad :|
