so ok, i know im a little obsessed with Krang, but what can I say, i miss the poor little pink guy.. i guess although his android body was a little 80's looking, theres something intriguing about a pink brain from dimension x that lost its body on the way to earth.. anyways, i was wondering (and i know this has been discussed before) if the show or comic or even the writers ever went into any type of detail of how shredder and krang met? thanks.. and yes, more Krang questions on the way

I'm not too sure. Not a lot of shows like these go far into back story, and some things just appear out of no where...
of course, you're asking a 21 year old cartoonist art student about a TV show that I haven't seen in eons, and I can't even remember what happened last Thursday....

If you really like little pink guys, they do have the Utroms in the new episodes. :D

Krang and Shredder's meeting is one of the few angles of the old cartoon I'd like to know about. Krang gave Shredder all the knowledge to build the Technodrome right? Obviously Saki didn't have the thing to begin with...
Shoot, Shredder must have robbed countless factories and technology firms to have built that thing....obviously that's what they're doing in the first episode (Turtle Tracks) right? Robbing the equipment companies to beef up their technology...
We had a thread awhile back, discussing this, and everyone gave their theories as to how they met. I still like mine the best:
Krang is banished to Earth. Portal opens right above Saki as he's walking by. SPLAT! Krang lands on Saki's face. Much arm waving, running in circles, and "Get it off! Get it off!" Truce is made.

I thought the technodrome belonged to Krang!
I think the reason is that in the earlier cartoons (forgive me for I haven't seen the cartoon either in ages if I'm wrong) that it's Krang's is that he would complain that nothing on earth had the energy requirements, except Dimention-X, to run the monstrous vehichle that we would give just about ANYTHING to have a joyride in!

It would be cool if the the Technodrome really existed...

Although her story is kinda funny, I agree with Kali on that theory. Krang must have come to Earth, there'd have been no way at the time that Shred could have gone to Dimension X. Unless someone from Dim. X beamed him there. But prolly Krang was banished to Earth.
I have a follow-up question tho *geez, sounds like April O'Neil from TMNT 2 now!* I know this has also prolly been discussed before, but WHY exactly was Krang banished? I figured he was a bigtime crime boss or something in his home dim. so that's why they banished him. Or maybe he commited some offense and got kicked out, kinda like how Yoshi was (well of course Yoshi was set-up tho). Judging from what he said in "Shreeka's Revenge", how he used to be partners in crime with Shreeka then later ditched her when he was banished, prolly confirms that he was a bigtime criminal. And how in the hell did he loose his body? Nothing in the orig. toon every explained the logic behind that one either.

Krang was banished because he was a war criminal (which is obviously not a far fetched explanation). He lost his body when he was banished to earth, but how, he never told. There was a thread a while back, dealing with our speculations on what his body used to be and how he lost it. Definately some noteworthy theories there.

When I was younger and saw Krang, but I called him "Brain Guy" and I think his Robot body had a name. For the Technodrome, I never had much thought on the thing when I was a kid. But back then I thought TMNT was based off the TMNT Games, but in 2002 I learned it was the comics.
today so far I just know Krang is the brains of Shredder's Plans. I don't know what Dimension X is like. So much stuff I didn't see in the original cartoon.

Yeah, bizarre, huh? I mean, it takes almost the entirety of season 3 to locate a battery for the technodrome, even though it'll run on a wider range of sources than my hairdryer will. But in the beginning, Shredder's robbing people left, right and centre.
