I've always felt like I relate to mikey a lot, but overtime I've realized I relate to Leo and sometimes Raph and Donatello too.
I relate to Mikey because we're both jokester creative types who try to be optimistic, I relate to Fred wolf Raphael because of his attitude, 2012 Leonardo is also quite relatable to me, being the older sibling and a sci-fi nerd.
what about you? what characters do you relate to? this can include characters outside of the turtles like April, Irma, Splinter etc

I'd say I'm half Mikey, half Raph. I wouldn't want to have the responsibilities that Leo has, and I don't see myself as a Donatello either.

Mikey. Definitely Mikey.
‘Cause I’m a baby sibling myself plus I can be a bit of a goofball too.

I’m a mix of Leo and Raph, especially the versions from the 2003 series.
Leo: Hard on myself and quiet at times. Believing in the good in people.
Raph: Angry and skeptical at times.
I relate a bit to Mikey, as I enjoyed playing videogames and reading comics/magazines growing up.

Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo.
My hero since childhood, the mostly stoic serious leader/ martial arts master who never gives up.

I feel like we've done this thread 87 times, but we have had a bunch of "new" people lately so I guess it's forgivable. :trazz:
I generally see a little of myself in all of them. Some people would insist I'm most like Raph, because I have a very hostile temper and a short fuse. But I personally feel more kinship with Leo, in that I was "forced" to grow up and be responsible way too early, I take most things "too seriously" or at least more seriously than most do, and I find the stupidity or immaturity of other people exhausting much of the time.

Yeah I'm the same when it comes to seeing a bit of myself in all of them.
I'm responsible like Leonardo, being the eldest sibling, but I also enjoy getting in touch with my spiritual side and geeking out about sci-fi shows
I'm like Donatello, in how I'm all about technology, any time my parents need help with an email or phone problem, I'm the tech support, and I'm often on my laptop or phone, I fixed the old printer as a kid, I also don't like being distracted (even though sometimes it's me who ends up distracting myself)
I'm like Raphael in how I'm protective of people I care about, but I can also get quite stressed and occasionally when I'm with friends I'll enjoy a bit of playful roughhousing and messing around, I also make snarky jokes like Fred wolf Raphael
Michelangelo would be my highest turtle "kin" we're both creative types who enjoy video games, drawing and just having fun, I try to be optimistic most of the time in situations, I enjoy pizza, making jokes and having a great time

Leo absolutely. Not necessarily in all things, he's got comfort in leadership positions over others more than I ever will (I'm more of an in-the-background lead-by-example type at most), but his views and values and how he approaches things, etc are very relatable.
Those PD movies are very lacking, but at least the second movie got them pretty well right as characters. When the other three were excitedly saying "Hey, this stuff could make us human!" Leo was all "Nope." Maybe a tad harsh in also trying to decide for the rest and trying to throw that big brother card in there... though understandable, but that aside... was rather proud of him actually and seemed quite on point that he'd reject that "opportunity," because even if the life they have isn't an easy one, it seems natural that he'd still prefer to accept the cards he was dealt and be determined to play them the best he can, rather than "cheat" and just take an out through the means his brothers were suggesting. Definitely respect and relate to his perspective there and in most parts of the franchise. (In contrast, is it really any wonder why Rise rubbed me the wrong way...)
And on even the most basic stuff... also the oldest and always liked swords and similar bladed stuff as weapon of choice, though that goes back so far I really have no clue if that's tied to him at all back in the day or simply also relatable.

I relate to Raphael because I am a tough guy loner.

It used to be Raphael when I was a teenager due to my temper and edginess, but not anymore.
I don't even know anymore. I just relate to certain elements that are common among the four than to them as individuals. Overall, I'd say Michelangelo is the one I relate to the least of all versions.

A truly well-rounded person would have identifiable traits of all four rather than predominantly only one, anyways.
Like I always laugh and always will whenever anyone loudly and proudly boasts that they're "A total Raphael". Like... that's not a GOOD thing, guy. I know many of us are/were "Raphs" (especially in our teens) but he's definitely the one a person should aspire the LEAST to be like.
Leo, conversely, is the one we should all aspire to be like and yet most people shun because he's "a boring know-it-all" or whatever. Sad. He clearly has his sh*t the most together but I guess he's too much of a stick-in-the-mud for most people.

I think both Leo and Don are good role models overall. Well, maybe not Nick Don... but previous Don's? Definitely.
Donatello has ridiculous scientific knowledge. That would definitely come in handy irl.
The Raphael I identify the most with if FW Raphael. I don't think it's a bad thing if FW Raph is the most relatable version of the character for you. He's not angry or toxic.
Michelangelo... unless it's Mirage Mikey, I don't see how any adult can see themselves in him. Mikey has been do dumbed down for over 20 years by now, I don't see how anyone over the age of 12 can have him as their favourite turtle.

You’ve obviously never met my stepdad then.

I always felt like I was half Mikey and half Raph. Wanting to party, but also not putting up with any BS :tmad:
