Someone needs to kill Koya. That bird has been nothing but trouble since she debuted.

ARMAGGON!! Looks like IDW's version is some kind of elder god-esque abomination. Love that despite that, he still has elements of his Archie look like the tubes. (Though, he also has more of a straight-up Shark look rather than the humanoid aspects of previous designs.) I can dig it.

I think most figured Armaggon would finally debut in a series named Armageddon game. In Archie he was a mutant who traveled through time, in Nick he was just a space/alien shark bounty hunter. In IDW he might be some sort of elder God.

Why do I feel that the Pantheon is directly tied to Armaggon in some way?

Also going to be interesting to see where the Venus/ Donnie stuff leads to.

Weird how Maligna hasn't appeared since the Turtles in Space arc from a few years ago, there's so many Archie Adventures characters in the series right now you'd think they would bring her back.
With Armaggon that's another classic character off the list. There really isn't much more (Chrome Dome, Merdude, etc), besides some of the other Archie Adventures exclusive characters. It really feels like IDW is on a mission to bring in nearly every major characters from prior to the 2012 cartoon into the series.

I expected Maligna to have business dealings with Null, but maybe we'll never see her again. Who knows?
As for more Archie characters, well, everyone knows who I'm rooting for... :D

I'm curious. You've mentioned Chien Khan plenty but what about Panda Khan?

Also you double posted
I'm only familiar with Panda Khan as an action figure. I assume he was from the 90s cartoon, or was he in Adventures too? Publication of Adventures was cut off here shortly after the Chien Khan arc so I only know the latter half of the series from reading up on and skimming through it many years later. On the subject of Chien Khan, I always felt he could bridge Mutant Town and the mystic side of things nicely, but serving as an antagonist for Bludgeon's ninja clan would work just as well. As long as he has his white ninjas.
Oops! Thanks for the heads-up!

Panda Khan is a crossover character like Usagi Yojimbo, he's not a TMNT character. He just got 1 toy and never appeared anywhere else.

Ah... So he could still show up in IDW? Or is there some rights issue that prevents that?

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. I had the toy (and Pizzaface) but that was as far as my knowledge went.

Cool interpretation of Armaggon. I'm hoping it's not actually tied to the Pantheon at all, maybe some completely separate (and more powerful) outer god that actually dwarfs them.

I was thinking something along the lines of Armaggon being set free in the wake of Rat King's defeat in AG, like the Pantheon's existence keeps him in check or something.
What I can't figure out is why Bludgeon is still blind, other than character development purposes, of course. Even excluding mutants' superior healing abilities, Venus was a sewn-together Frankenstein monstrosity and she got better from their jaunt through time, so why can't he?

Isn’t she Leo’s nesting buddy in the future?

This issue confirmed the future is not set in stone, which is good.
Armaggon seems like some sort of elder god in this universe. Talk about a glow up, he went from being a mutant who could time travel, to an alien bounty hunter, now he's some sort of demon god.

Isn’t the QNA mentioned in this issue the same thing Krang ordered to have taken from Yoshi and his son’s bodies after Shredder killed them in feudal Japan? If so, they will explain their reincarnation.

Yep. Probably the longest-dangling plot thread at this point.

Please remind me in what issue Krang ordered to have taken that something from Yoshi and his son’s bodies? I'll gladly re-read it.

IDW usually has a million plotlines going on at once, with some usually shelved or in the background for years until they go back to them.
It's why I hope The Patheon story with Rat King finally ends for good after this, because it's gone on long enough. Obviously all the other Patheon members will be around, but Rat King really needs to be defeated for good in some form. We just had Rat King just laugh at everything that was going on during issue #100 when Kitsune resurrected Shredder and Splinter died...and Rat King was like, "the games will continue." I don't know if I can sit through that again since Rat King needs a conclusion. Sitting through 50 more issues of Rat King's games isn't ideal at all.
Besides that we did have 3 major character deaths with Hun, Bishop and Slash all dying prior to issue 100, so I wouldn't be surprised if we have some more. Krang dying for real this time, or Ch'rell, or Null being done away with seems next on the agenda. I figure Baxter will just get arrested and impeached from office, and Old Hob being the first breakout character of IDW will probably stick around forever. We already know Koya/Bludgeon are still alive in the future unless they change that.

I actually see Stockman twisting things in his favor and falling upwards.
Will the Pantheon members be around? Will they? Hmm.
I'm expecting at least one death in the good guys' camp, and wouldn't be surprised if it were Hob. Too soon for Null, maybe, but what else is there to do with Krang now that his people have a new leader?

Wow! What a fantastic plot! Re-read it! Thank you! Was it ever shown how QNA was infused into the four turtles and a rat?

No. It is explained that they received an intelligence boosting injection before the mutagen however.

Is Hob a "good" enough guy to count? Maybe if he went down in an act of self-sacrifice or something? Otherwise, I'm not sure. Like if he just went down in the crossfire during this tenuous alliance of his with the Turtles & Co again then IDK...

the psychotropic injections? huh I only remembered that applying to Splinter, not the Turtles too
I've been meaning to go back and re-read the early stuff in the series, I should do that soon
