I gotta say, calling your own people "creatures" is frickin weird

This issue finally moved the plot along and reunited most of the Turtles. Regenta is like what, only a few months old technically? It'll be interesting to see how this ends.

Somehow I don't think Krang really is dead, and he's gonna join forces with Nova Posse against Ch'rell. Otherwise, their trip to Burnow Island would be a very straightforward and uninteresting affair, especially in the absence of any familiar characters.
Oh, and Ch'rell makes for a more interesting foe already, what with his recognizing and coveting Donnie's tech.

My favorite lair! The one they never should have left to begin with is destroyed!:(:x

.
Funny thing is for over 50 issues people waited for some sort of Krang and Ch'rell showdown and...it was over in like 7 pages. lol, that was it?
Besides that it also feels like bringing Krang back "to life" when we thought Leatherhead just ate and killed him, kinda pointless? He just got stuck in Leatherhead's body for a bunch of issues, then when he finally gets out of it...this is it. If he's not dead, then that's odd to since they just shot him once.

Artificially aging children so they can "hang" with the older characters has always felt uncomfortable to me. This is I guess a... lesser example because of the situation but the fact that she's supposed to lead a species when like 8 seconds ago she couldn't speak is funny.

Is this event incredibly overstuffed with characters, time travel and sometimes hard to follow or is it just me? More Null is always good though and love the main artist on the central Armageddon book and especially the designs on the turtle imposters. Finally caught up, this version of venus is fantastic. All of the mutant town additions are as mostly useless as everyone said, glad they've mostly been ignored during this otherwise fun event.

I generally have no idea what's going on outside the Krang/Ch'rell Utrom/Triceraton arc. Null hasn't really done anything (as usual), Baxter and Rat King are just there doing the usual. There's some sort of future plot going on with Armaggon but that's intentionally vague at the moment.

That's actually reassuring, so much is happening it feels like nothing has happened? Maybe this one is getting away from them a bit

I think the thing is, Null, Baxter, Rat King, etc. are all basically in the same place and doing the same things from 30+ or more issues ago. Nothing has really changed. So for them, it feels like nothing is happening. Rat King is still off making riddles and giggling, Baxter is still just the mayor, Null is...just there.
The only plot finally progressing is Krang and Ch'rell (with Krang stuck in Leatherhead's body for 2+ years finally over), and hopefully wrapping up the Utrom/Triceraton stuff. Old Hob is still doing the usual too, being coy and only helping the Turtles when it suits him.
The only other stuff resolved is Karai finally no longer hates the Turtles and made a truce with them, which was LONG overdue.

For me kitsune is the only fascinating pantheon character and she's sidelined, the rat king is so megalomaniacal, i'm more into the morally grey characters myself like Karai who is one of the best things about the series along with Hob and splinter before he died. Feels like Hob will get his Gollum redemption moment in the climax as he's been dragged through the mud for a while with the trafficking of mutants and outright terrorism on humanity.
Agreed on the Ch'rell/Krang arc being the most coherent and grounded thus being the most readable/enjoyable stuff of this so far. I have to say I was super bummed to see the church get blown, my favorite lair. RIP.
The ninja magic stuff is kind of cringe for me too. idk

That feels super weird coming from as person who's username is from an anime all about fighting with supernatural powers and power ups that are basically mystical.
You do you though.

This is, like, her third or fourth time doing that. Easily the most underwhelming development because you just know she'll go back on it eventually.

I don't think so, all the way through the end of City at War and issue 100 she was still an enemy of the Turtles. She finally made a truce with them after that around the Rahzar/Tokka issues, and now we see Bludgeon also saying he wants peace and doesn't want to fight anymore.
In addition to that now that she is befriending Casey and Alopex or the other Turtles friends, it's very unlikely for her to turn on them again. It was LONG overdue. The only wildcard I see is Koya, but that would just be her acting on her own

I count/consider three or four truces: after Splinter takes over the Foot, the rendezvous with the Turtles in Northhampton after returning from Japan, when the Turtles saved her life in #100, and after the Tokka and Rahzar incident.
